NijisanjiEN's new auditions. This time it's a special one, the talents they're looking for must have acting talent and the audition itself has unique requirenments. Just like in the previous audition, the applicants must have some kind of streaming experience. The auditionee must act one of these scenarios and record audition with them:
[1] You are a regular office worker by day, and an idol by night. Can you hide your secret identity while trying to live a double life?
[2] You are a traveler researching a planet's ecosystem. Play out a scene in which you go scouting in a new location.
[3] You're a gatekeeper of hell who acquired a cursed weapon. You are eroded by the weapon, and you begin to lose your humanity. Portray the gatekeeper's story.
[4] You are a martial artist who loves proving your strength in fighting rings. Recently, it was discovered that aliens are real and with new space travel technology, you start your journey across the universe looking for strong opponents to challenge.
Q. What exactly does "presenting the story in character" mean?
A.It refers to digging deep into the character you selected, coming up with a story (i.e. motivations, goals, way of speaking, etc.) and becoming the character in order to express this story.
Q. I have no live streaming experience, but I can create videos. Can I still apply?
A. Please note that the requirements for this application are limited to those with live streaming experience.
Q. Can I use languages other than Japanese and English?
A. As long as you use English, adding other languages is not a problem.
Q. Can I use my current personal VTuber model for the audition video? I'm concerned that my current model may differ from the look and feel of the character options in this audition form.
A. There is no problem with using your own design or current VTuber model, etc., in the audition video as long as they do not infringe on the rights of any third party.
Q. Are background music and sound effects required for the audition video?
A. They are not required. However, you are more than welcome to include images, background music, sound effects, and other materials to add to your story/character, as long as the used materials do not infringe on the rights of any third party.
Q. Does the video have to be fully animated?
A. No. As long as the video is watchable, a slideshow-like video is acceptable. However, please note that videos with a single picture that does not change, or a plain black screen etc. will not be considered for judging. Please maintain some level of video editing/quality so that the video can be objectively judged.
Q. As long as I create the story for the character specified in this audition's requirements, is it acceptable to add original characters other than those specified for the purpose of storytelling?
A. No problem, but voices of third parties other than that of the applicant are not allowed.
Q. Is there a script?
A. No, we do not provide a script, as the purpose of the contest is for applicants to use their imagination to create a simple story based on a given theme. The script of the video created by the applicant must have been created solely by the applicant.
Q. Is there a maximum video length?
A. The maximum length is 5 minutes, but there is no minimum length.
As far as I've understood, they're looking for someone who'll be able to act as a consistant character and provide keyfabe on stream. The previous special audition was the gaming one, which was tied to JP heroes, so I wonder if it is tied to JP too.
