I always thought when 8chan started back when it was poised to be the realistic future successor to both reddit and 4chan, effectively combining some of their best parts, but they never truly caught on. I think because most were made in zeitgeists that only captured people embroiled in whatever drama. Not enough of an impetus for people to truly leave or build a new community elsewhere.

Some small things could see fixes, but the overall experience is much better since there's no spammers and half of the thread is not banned constantly for posting servants that the jannie doesn't like. I think everyone can see that threads here are way more chill and "productive". In the other hand, anons might migrate back in mass anyway if everyone else does it.
