Best to expand the equation you picked at the start asap for a big powerboost, and then pick the other equations around that on. I usually end up with equations that are a mix of 3 paths, with 1 being the primary one. If you have spare fragments, RM shop is great for another 3*. As for boons, all are pretty viable, even Cipher. I like maximizing day/night ratio with the second boon, but you can say fuck it and try to kill before the shift. The big thing is finding the synergies between equations. You get so many domains that rng decreases, so I found it actually more reliable getting what I want than the previous DU.
