I'm reading through this article now. It's long, but the biggest point that it's making is that progressive organizations and non-profits have become paralyzed by cancel culture and internal turmoil. Multiple organization directors were complaining that now that the left has a trifecta in government (president + majorities in both house of representatives and senate), they should be passing their own policy left and right. But their staffs are all so focused on internal arguments and shit-flinging that they aren't getting anything done, and have basically stopped showing up to lobby politicians. One executive director said that in the past 9 months, he spent 90-95% of his time dealing with internal disputes and fractures, whereas a few years ago it would have been closer to 25-30%, which still seems ridiculous to me. One paragraph in particular is giving me ideas:
>Another leader said the strife has become so destructive that it feels like an op.
>“I’m not saying it’s a right-wing plot, because we are incredibly good at doing ourselves in, but — if you tried — you couldn’t conceive of a better right-wing plot to paralyze progressive leaders by catalyzing the existing culture where internal turmoil and microcampaigns are mistaken for strategic advancement of social impact for the millions of people depending on these organizations to stave off the crushing injustices coming our way,” said another longtime organization head.
>“Progressive leaders cannot do anything but fight inside the orgs, thereby rendering the orgs completely toothless for the external battles in play. … Everyone is scared, and fear creates the inaction that the right wing needs to succeed in cementing a deeply unpopular agenda.”
If the left is saying this feels like an op to them, and it's affecting them as if it is, then it should be turned into an op. I think a way to instigate further division is to identify fracture points in their ideology, and then drive a wedge into the fracture using their own language and ideology. Twitter would probably be the best medium for this, as the wedge needs to be as public as possible so the fracture can spread the furthest and cause maximum possible butthurt. Examples:
>Oh, you're an abortion activist? That's so inequitable, why are you aborting more black bodies than white bodies?
>Oh, you're a climate activist with the Sierra club? John Muir hated black and indigenous people, why do you supporting his systemically racist organization?
>You think women's soccer team should be making as much money as the men's soccer teams? Not until they start allowing trans players on the team.
There are a ton of these sorts of fracture points, they just need to be identified, and then hammered at. If anons think there's any value in this, I could try to start reading up on some more examples over the coming days to come up with a master list of fractures.
