I genuinely ask myself what the point of having a Primary Care physician even is at this point. They’re nothing but legal and licensing bottlenecks/barriers for access to pharmaceuticals. They act as glorified search engines for disease identification and if they cannot help then refer you to a specialist (a higher grade individual) in their network who you hope actually knows something about medicine.
On one hand I don’t think that people who have a hard time tying their shoes (80%-90% of the population) would be able to just pick and choose their own treatment for common or even uncommon illness and they actually need someone with an additional 10-15 IQ points to be the “problem solver” on their behalf (after all, not everybody can be captains of industry, somebody has to scrub toilets). But on the other hand it permanently cheapens the title of “doctor” and completely destroys any confidence in medical systems to have such people even practice medicine.
I just think the fact that I was talked down to while being told that I was misinformed about the “existence of blood types” and that I do not have a degree or license in medicine and that I should listen to an “expert” who is “qualified” to take care of such things. “Did you read about blood types on the internet? That’s an old and outdated medical notion and it comes from a place of racism. You shouldn’t do you own research. I’m a doctor, I know what I’m talking about! You should trust me instead!” Maybe it’s my autism getting the better of me and they’re *just* smart enough to know that they’re very low on the medical totem pole and need people to just shut up and do what they say so they still have a job as basically a prescription dispenser. But maybe they’re genuinely stupid. Doesn’t help that they look like this. Either way it was a bad experience and left me discouraged and unconfident in the ability of the hospital.

I think to be fair, very, VERY few. Reason being that the nurses who take care of such things are taught to match they symbols on the bags with the chart. Even fat niggers with dents in their head can do that with accuracy.
>ay yo paper says blood A+
>get the bag with the A+ on it
>alright now put the tube in it
>yeah alright mmmhmmm we transfusin!
Enough infrastructure is still there to make sure that this simple interaction can still occur. It’s 30 years from now that I’m worried about.
