This is a sound viewpoint and one I share. I will rant a little.
The contemporary standard is to cultivate (knowingly or otherwise) dark triad traits (narcissism, machiavellism and psychopathy) through dehumanizing structures such as corporations, cities and governments.
What these structures have in common is that they condone irresponsible behaviour. One of the main ways this is done is through their scale and the economics of interpersonal relationships.
Let me explain. Large scale projects/entities actually facilitate irresponsible behaviours because responsibility is dilluted.
Furthermore an increase in scale typically entails an increase in complexity of all kinds. Let us focus only on communicational complexity. As communicational complexity increases, so too do the opportunities to obfuscale, lie and defraud people within and beyond the project/organization. This complexity results a myriad of possible failure
On the economics of personal relationships: value is proportional to supply and demand. Let us take that premise and apply it to interpersonal relationships. The more people are available, the lower the value of each relationship.
In a city, you can treat people like trash, because there is always another sucker around the corner.
In a corporation (regardless of its size), you can treat people like trash because there are always 800+ applicants to any job posting you put out.
These issues are compounded because cities, corporations and governments all seem altogether unwilling and incapable (for a myriad of reasons, such as technological disruption) of pursuing any long-term goal. At the same time all three of those entities always seek to become as large as possible, as quickly as possible. The end result is a series of toxic, self-destructive entities and environments.
Consider instead a rural setting where people are few and far between. You would not be able to afford to treat people unkindly seeing as you may have no choice but to rely on what limited human resources you have available in your immediate vicinity. Similarly, small-scale communities would be much less tolerant of toxic behavioural patterns for the same reason.
Consider a small business with a focus on long-term slow growth (or, at a minimum, sustainable income) in one such rural setting. How would the business owner have to treat their employees, based on the line of reasoning above?
Globalism and all such large-scale delusions are no more than fever dreams and psycopathic ramblings destined to self-destruct.
