>Race: Argonian
I just like Argonians, I think they're really cool. And adaptability suits me just fine.
Being alien is no problem either, I've never felt at home anywhere really. So, which way to the adventure?
>Birthsign: The Lord
What I lack in strength, I make up for in sheer durability. If it bleeds, you can kill it. But how much do I have to bleed before you can kill me, eh?
>Origin: War Orphan
It was Daedra. Out for revenge? Summoned? Or passing by? ...Does it matter?
Actually, yes, yes it does matter. Because that is how I met my master, my teacher, my old friend.
>Training: Taught The Trade
Many days spent swinging swords, many nights spent in deep talk. Wild dreams, far stars.
>Warm-up style
Magic: Destruction is of course not my only style, I also learned mage-light and some restoration spells, but indeed, my specialty is that of the noble school of Destruction. I prefer travelling light, and this suits me just fine. It also gives me an avenue of attack not usually seen among those of my fighting style, the Natural-Death; range.
>Ansei Fighting Style: Natural-Death
Adaptability is the name of the game, though mobility is at a premium. That's what magic is for, and I have more up my sleeves than mere fire and lightning...
>Shehai Shape: Khopesh
A sword and ax in one. Excellent against shields, mine also has a long handle. It can be wielded in one hand or two (great for when one is still growing), and it's qualities are strong...
<Qualities
>Boneshaving
>Tremoring
>Venomous
>Serrated
Don't get cut. Heh. My blade is here. No, not there, here. No, here. Ah, my mistake, it was actually over T H E R E. Can you feel it? The hissing, burning pain? A thousand fangs of Argonian warriors tearing through your gut with every cut. It thirsts. I will slake it. You are the drink. A kopesh with fangs that is always after your blood.
<Abberant Techniques
>Move-Like-This
>Cut-Between-Skins
Thought by Deadra, can you believe it? ME? One who hates Deadra, and I got bloody schooled by one. Bah. I should- Move-Like-This and Cut-Between-Skins are very useful for offsetting my style's disadvantage of lack of mobility. You might THINK you outrun me, but what's running to simply taking a step through space? An ultimate paradox: to move without taking a step! Also useful for getting out of dungeons.
<Patron God: Mere Mortal
I'm actually a follower of the Hist, but eh, gotta go with what I have, right? And I can live just a little longer than most.
>Nemesis: Ajcea no Satakalaam, The Rain-Cutter-Orphan.
A true master of his craft. A student of the same school. A victim of the same fate. Our skills, are they equal? We shall see, it will be a legendary battle. Long may it rain red, but our blades shall cut every drop.
>Now there's nothing left but (you)
My name... My name is Riverfang.
Notes and comments:
I really liked this one. Elder Scrolls isn't the most interesting thing to me, but this captured my imagination readily! It was great, and all the options feel really strong and good in all their own ways! I could totally go Altmer, magic warmup and cross-studied, giving me a powerful magical edge. My one complaint, however, is that the Hist is not part of the deities, and the alien part of an Argonian is arguably negligible compared to everything else. Auri-el doesn't really suit my hyper-tanky build of just outlasting the opponent. I did consider Clavicus Vile for the dual-wielding and the irony, but then I remembered what happens to every wielder of Umbra and decided against it. Mere Mortal is more my style, but if the Hist was a choice with a decent ability, I probably would have taken it.
For qualities, I originally envisioned taking Sunbreath, since making enemies run out of stamina would be quite fun, but it also doesn't lend itself very well to stealth, so I decided against it and chose Venomous instead. It fits my cutting style. Honestly, I could probably take a scimitar-shaped Shehai for even more cutting, but the khopesh is such an awesome weapon in real life, and it makes my already plentiful qualities stronger, including the poison. China has a torture method known as Thousand Cuts, you've probably heard of it. Maybe I'd get a name like "Death-by-two-cuts". Fuck, I really want to play this character in some game now, this is so cool.
For a warmup style, this is a very interesting choice. I don't know how much magica actually lends itself to "real life", but the idea of having the Destruction school (and hopefully several others, like mage-light and a healing spell or two) available tickles my fancy, just like the kopesh.
The lady in the Sunbreath image is very pretty.
