If you mess with the choices and talk to Arc in the downloadable program version, there are more things you can learn. I've written out some stuff I thought was important. It isn't everything you can learn.
Setting
- You will run into natives with wacky gimmicks/abilities, not just other people from Earth. Even if you take
Solo, you won't be a god just because you got isekai powers.
- Not everyone gets the same options. It varies based on the person and why Arc thought Harahel was a good fit for them. Some just wanna bake and grill.
- Earth science is less reliable on Harahel than magic.
-
Arcane can mimic other magic schools in a controlled manner, but this requires very specific spell knowledge.
Gameplay/choice dynamics
- You can only take
Demon Lord once. This means you can only have one proficiency at 5.
- Normally you cannot get the racial bonuses for a second/third race without
Ubermensch. There is an exception: if the item itself says you can take it free with a race, then just having the race is enough.
- Bonuses listed in the race info must be taken if it's your primary race or you have
Ubermensch for it. They are not optional.
Arbiters
These are ordered here roughly from worst to best to take with
Chosen if you are a square. Your arbiter won't order you around unless you pick
Chosen.
-
Arc likes causing chaos and pretending to be mortal. She's basically Narlothotep. If taking
Chosen with her as your patron/afterlife, she won't give orders, but might decide to
adventure raise hell with you sometime.
-
Lahash is going through a bad time and has been acting like a lazy neet, but still has a good reputation among mortals. With
Chosen, she will have you take troublesome paths to goals, like destroying a village to save it from starvation. Will cause you a lot of trouble unless you are good at asking her questions about missions and finding better solutions, which might rehabilitate her. Arc will reward you with a "special gift" if you can rehabilitate her, but doesn't have much confidance in your chances.
-
Onoskelis is good at manipulating fate. Will have you do crazy shit and fuck your way through trouble if you pick
Chosen with her, but is good at getting you out of trouble if you just go with the flow.
-
Procel is morally gray, obsessive, driven by curiosity, and can be very cruel. With
Chosen, he will have you do what he thinks is appropriate for you, such as testing dungeons or finding artifacts, and won't send you unprepaired.
-
Mastema and
Uzza are what you'd expect. With
Chosen, Mastema will want you to become a protagonist for the world on gameified adventures or preserve wholesome goodwill in some other way, Uzza will want to mold you into a legendary hero.
