>>5981 Well, we DO have STC:O which I think has Nigel's blessing
You know, it's funny how the 2000s era of Sonic is basically Shonen, but the one character that's basically Eastern based, Espio, doesn't do anything interesting during that era. Like, why is that?
>>5984 Well, technically the Chaotix did help with Shadow in his game. But yeah, Espio & the rest of the Chaotix aren't super popular so I guess SEGA doesn't do much with them.
>>5984 Because the Chaotix are minor characters.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxU61EwwYBA >8:14 Finally someone said it. I want this fixed in 3D Sonic games. Even Adventure era got this.
Is posting up?
Damn, so many posts overnight. We're pretty much at bump limit already.
until amy appears in sonic legacy i don't give a fuck
>>5990 No, you'll get your dumb love-interest Dolphin OC and you'll like her dammit. Amy is old news.
>>5991 apparently sonic legacy is adapting the all the main series games in order. amy is gonna look less clingy by comparison
>>5992 >adapting the all the main series games Don't we have enough adaptions already?
>>5985 Weren't they popular in the 90s? It's almost like they gave them bad redesigns and made them corny as hell to make them lose popularity lol
>>5994 Not really. The Chaotix were only in one game in the 90s & that was a title on the 32X which virtually nobody bought. They're honestly more poplar post-Heroes than they were back in the Knuckles Chaotix days.
>>5995 Ehhhhhh Sonic fans in the 90s used to read the comics a lot which is where Chaotix made their appearances. I distinctively remember Espio and Mighty being popular. That being said, though, Sega finally gave in and put back the Chaotix but made them completely new characters was the dumbest fucking idea ever.
>ARR SONNIKKU CANNOT CHANGU CLOTHSU
So do people hate Legacy cause of the art, the OCs, or the writing? I wanna make a Sonic fan comic maybe one day but my art… ;_;
>>5996 Yeah, but even back in the 90s the Chaotix appeared more in STC than Archie (IIRC), which not many Sonic fans read, since it was a UK comic.
>>5998 For me it's mostly just the art so far >>5999 I think it's still more people than you think, cause I literally didn't give a shit about nuChaotix period. Heroes was cute, Sonic X was better, but that's it, I literally forget they exist afterwards because they were so shit. And by they I mean Espio and Vector. Fuck Charmy, never should have existed.

>>5998 I mean the art is amateurish yes, but everyone has to start somewhere. This is a fantastic opportunity for young artist to practice their craft, and we should encourage them to do so while also remaining fairly critical.
>>5997 Sonic can have a shirt, but no pants.
>>6003 I want Sonic to have a cool jacket.

>>6001 >nuChaotix Ah, yes, that. How do you think they should have been introduced and portrayed in the games? They looked cool and serious in the 90s but I hate how SEGA made them look like bumbling goofballs. It's like there's a mandate that says only the modern characters can be cool. Actually I'm convinced that's an actual thing.
>>6005 I actually like current Chaotix, as them being detectives gives them something that stands out in the Sonic world & their dynamic can be pretty entertaining. But, I do think that they're better off when it's shown that despite being somewhat bumbling, they're pretty competent detectives who can get the job done. Similar to how they figured out Eggman was the guy who was giving them orders in Heroes, or the last Universe arc.

>>5738 >tfw thought that mighty was so cute I made a sketch of him kissing amy's neck It's actually cute too, I might scan it.
>>6006 It's not about them being detectives, it's how they are executed and how their design is. I think Sonic the Comic's portrayal of them is their best by a long shot. Sega just made em lame with little to no purpose cause they're not named Silver, Blaze, or Shadow.
What's the bump limit on this board?
>>6007 I'mma need to see that anon.
>>6007 post it
>>6009 300 currently. If we keep getting more people, it should probably be raised to 500.
>>6011 >>6010 Lemme scan it and digitize it first I hope it doesn't come out bad
should someone make a thread
>>6009 The bump limit is 300, but since this site is /slow/, threads on this board don't really go down the page as severely as it would on 4chan, so in all, it *could go on forever* but over time it will keep going down the page list. So usually after like 325-350 posts (based on how fast things could get) would be time for a new thread to use.
Im just gonna make a new thread tbh
>>6020 Thanks anon
