Case Decided Leader of GamerGate 03/19/2016 (Sat) 00:02:44 Id: 1a6348 No. 319518
$115 million $140 MILLION owed to Hulk Hogan from Gawker. (Gawker made $45 million in 2014) >$55 million for economic injuries >$60 million for emotional distress >$10 million in punitive damages to Nick Denton >$15 million in punitive damages to Gawker >$100,000 in punitive damages to AJ Daulerio, who owes $27,000 in student loans and has no assets wew
>>319989 I wouldn't even waste the time wondering where Flynt got that idea. He didn't link shit so it's safe to assume it's yet another LISTEN and BELIEVE situation. He's quite literally an insane person that sees GG around every corner just waiting to murder and rape him.
How do I tell myself that appeals won't reduce/overturn the case? Hulk would have to prove that the payment is the actual damages… I want Gawker to die. How do I tell myself it will? Will it? I mean, when they leaked his ancient phone conversation they killed his career. The sex tape seems tertiary to that. The leak of the phone conversation seems like blackmail and retaliation for the case so… it can still carry forward, right?

>>320032 It will cost them 50 million to do so. It only took the jury 6 hours to debate the issue. They'll lose everything in the process of fighting over a sex tape. So it's basically do they want the easy way or the hard way?

>>320037 He shall be hailed as our Hero for ages to come SMASH'EM HULKSTER
http://nypost.com/2016/03/22/hulk-hogan-speaks-out-on-his-140m-gawker-smackdown/ The Hulkster talks about the trial and Denton. >A jovial Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, greeted The Post Tuesday morning at the oceanfront Sandpearl Resort near his Clearwater home, opening up about the case for the first time and later posing for celebratory photos on the beach. >He called Denton a “puppetmaster.’’ >“He’s very proud of his buccaneering young stud, AJ,’’ Hogan said. >“They think that just because you have Facebook or Twitter, you crossed the line between normal person to celebrity status. So that means anyone who has anything to do with social media is fair game. >He said that as he heard their testimony during the trial, “I started having, like Oprah has, these ‘aha’ moments. … ‘Everybody’s a celebrity,’ I thought. ‘Oh, my God, they’re gunning for everybody. Everybody is fair game. And then 4-year-olds, too?’” Hogan said, referring to Daulerio’s testimony that he’d post a celebrity sex tape with a child. >“Apparently, [Denton’s] pretty darn talented, I’d love to see these guys do a 180 and just do good stuff and just get legit,’’ Hogan said. >“I don’t know if [Daulerio, who posted the video as Gawker’s editor in chief] really understands how wrong he is. I think some type of experience, if this trial didn’t humble him, then maybe picking up trash on the side of the road might.’’
>>320038 >On the stand, Hogan claimed his sexual boasts and inconvenient public statements fell under the umbrella of his “artistic liberty” as an actor. He can be untruthful when in character, he admitted cheerfully, and he is in character whenever he leaves his home. >That split personality was revealed at its most bizarre when he gave an example: Hulk Hogan the character has a bigger penis than Terry Bollea the man, he said. Hogan’s is public, Bollea’s is private, but the fact is that most of us can’t tell the character from the man—especially when the trademark bandana is worn by both, even in court. SLANDERING HOGAN WILL NOT HELP YOU YOU IDIOTS >inb4 appeal will get Hogan more moneyz.

>>320038 >Celebrities, especially ones as public about their personal and sex life as Hulk Hogan, have a narrower zone of privacy than ordinary people. If they have ANY privacy, then the bedroom is where it is. I don't even care if it has security cameras in there, security cameras are limited use, they are for security, for enforcement of the law, being in the presence of one is not consent for public broadcast outside of identifying a suspect or victim.

I think I might have a potential life raft that Gawker might be using for funding, namely Trendy Entertainment. They're using shills to smear a competetor, about to start a lawsuit to shut down a project that probably wasn't backed by a SJW target while he was still under a non-competition clause, and the news was first broke by Kotaku… All the while in my head I'm thinking Kotaku might be getting paid under the table for the hatchet piece that spread by SJW infected clickbait "news" pages. I think we found a new front and it's no less the fight for survival of a game. >But we'll not take your games away, silly gamergator Yeah… right.
Anything new regarding Gawker's Appeal?
