It feels like being a nuclear fallout survivor, hoping to see other people
>>11 Which discord? I only have the one for the animation thread
>>19 oh... another anon probably made it then. it was called "the /beg/ & /int/ cave"

I miss my favorite poster.
:AMBATUKAM SURPRISED:
WE ARE ALIVE I MISSED YOU SO FUCKING BAD
God I hate drawing hands. Especially when they don't really "flow" and you're looking at the fingers straight on and/or overlapping with each other. Complete nightmare.
>>31 i missed you too anon
I'm going to put my favorite anon on a milk carton

For people who do traditional to digital work flow do you ever end up enjoying the touch up process or is it like a sweatshop forever <3 I will need to do it soon but I have 1,000,000 sketches to finish .
>>114 Yeah you are right, I tend do draw one of the face sides wider than they should be.
Did a little bit of construction practice for rotation of the spine(second image being my inspo); it's blatantly obvious I couldn't figure out the perspective of the hips and therefore couldn't construct the glutes and other leg muscles so I didn't even try; could also be that I'm still not ready for figure drawings and should go back to grinding Robertson's perspective techniques.

/beg/. will i ever get my fp back
>>137 You can begin figure drawing whenever, it's an independent skill
>>137 is that toriel drawing yours?
>>137 >second image being my inspo oh sorry i cant read why are you drawing a fat ass bodacious venus GODDESS with tiny little square boxes? You will never draw a balanced figure by drawing massess with different centers of mass and volumes If you look at actual human xrays or digital xrays of figures in motion youll see that the skeleton looks weird an unnatural when its isolated, thats because its swimming in a suit made of flesh, and youre drawing one fleshy suit, starting from the skeleton is extremely counter-intuitive Dont get me wrong, knowledge is power, and knowing where the bones could be located in a body like this might help you in some way but its definetely not a good approach of drawing such a character from the ground up
>>11 Not the biggest server but it's pretty comfy https://discord.gg/yGVAEq5W
How does one draw/sketch hair? I see people just use two to three lines and it looks like hair, but when I do it looks like my characters got the Norwood reaper
>>168 work from big to small. big clumps is better then single strains.
>>168 The ones on the first page look ok enough (for /beg/ standards). Basically you learn hair the same way you learn any other part of the body, study references, learn the patterns, break it down into simple shapes then add details. There’s no trick to it, but you do have to study it on its own.
i have zero motivation to draw
>>176 This guy has paid/members only videos right? Is there a torrent for them?
>>176 what makes him special? His drawings are like any other good artist out there.
who is he
>>176 Talent
>>168 you got to feel the direction its going, but depends on your style i guess
>>179 Nothing really “special” about him per se, but he has some good videos that show him doing good figure drawings in a very short amount of time, so it’s a good example to strive for. >>182 Any monkey can learn to copy a photo ref, it doesn’t require talent. Just time and grinding.
>>157 >>179 this /int/ slop, shitty ass hands
i miss my favorite poster
>>192 I'm praying that 4chan comes back eventually. /ic/ was already one of the slower boards and it doesn't look like a ton of people migrated here.
>>193 me too straight up i miss my goon content rolemodel i have no fckn motivation right now without someone else to inspire me
>>194 >i miss my goon content rolemodel who?
>>194 Honestly it's been a long time since I was active daily on /ic/ so my motivation is about where it was previously. If 4chan goes away forever though it would be awful for internet culture in general though, which is something that actually MIGHT hurt my motivation long term. So many smaller projects got big via exposure on 4chan.
>>157 So figure out what fat I'm drawing first, and then base the drawings of the muscles off of that? Your answer is helpful, but it doesn't seem to suggest a methodology.
>>192 Who was? I miss the permabegchizo, he was funny
why does the delt look not right What am I missing
>>200 Why? He derailed threads on his own. You can go follow him on twatter if you want your schizokino fix.
>>200 I miss perilfag/grotesque proportions porn comic guy
>>199 >>201 When in Rome, Do as the Romans Do. You're drawing a fat character, so how come you're trying to draw muscles? The artist you're using as inspiration/ref doesn't care about arm muscles here, nor should you here. Take on their mindset and adopt a 2d-shape focused mentality. As a beginner, and at any skill level, you need to take on challenges that are appropriate for your skill level (challenges that you are capable of succeeding at with effort). Use real photo references where you can actually see the muscles. Right now, what you're trying to do isn't any different from trying to invent muscles from imagination. And when you do that and you lack the knowledge to do it, you're relying on some random person to come along and redline your anatomy mistakes. You should aim to be self-sufficient by using references that actually contains the visual information you need. You copy the reference once, you put the reference away and then you draw it from memory, or at least something very close to it. The reference then becomes your answer key, your personal anatomy expert that will show you everything you drew wrong.
>>205 stfu and pyw before giving your retarded advice next timme
>>194 >i have no fckn motivation right now I drawfagged for a few boards and participated in /ic/‘s the draw-this-in-your-style threads. It’s the only motivation I had.
Hey bros i'm back =)

>>208 yeh i feel so damn hopeless lmao i just have been drawing the deer fuckin other people's boys for now to try to keep the motivation going but I can only push it for so long, oof
>>207 wow i'm so scared waaaaaa
>>208 I believe /v/ on this site has a drawthread up right now. Anyway you can treat this as a learning experience. If you want to actually stick it out and git gud, your motivation has to come from within you. It can't be wholly dependent on any one external source.
>>208 >>212 i don't think I'm unmotivated, but i haven't been drawing as much as i could these past few days. the worst part is not getting the usual feedback i wouldn't have improved so much if it weren't for the tips from /ic/
>>199 my drawing method makes faggots seethe everytime i show it so im just gonna keep it to myself, sorry Im just gonna say 1. Biggest shapes first 2. Group massess together to get the biggest shapes possible
