Alright /m/en, how would you change AMAIM if you were in a creative position to make it turn out better than it did? Hard Mode: No removing the main trio, their mechs, or their animal side kicks and it has to be a real robot show designed to sell model kits. Everything else is fair game.
>>959 I thought the show was fine, not everything needs to turn into a multimedia franchise.
>>960 I agree, but everywhere you go the responses are either negative for being too light hearted or ANN whining it was right wing (it wasn't). Can't count MAHQ because opinions there are hiveminded.
>>959 Just rewrite the plot to make it 100% battle tournaments. Aim it at the 8-13 yo demographic, instead of going full /pol/ with the setting.
>>959 Fix the ending. Have them keep up the fight against the rest of the nations instead of teaming up to kick only out America out. >>962 ANN retarded as usual. AMAIM's downfall was it wasn't yamato damashii enough.
>>965 I disagree, I think they should have developed the politics more than they did. The ending is interesting because the rebels win but the status quo doesn't meaningfully change. The Americans were able to cover their ass after the final battle and remove the person that was backing John Arbuckle's team, and it seems like the part of Japan they control is still mostly willing to go along with being under their thumb. Meanwhile the other countries still have control of their areas of Japan so it's basically returned to the exact same way it was at the start, except the Russians, Chinese, and Australians(lol) are semi-united against America, and there is a small independent area of Japan now. It feels like the setup for a sequel that will never happen
>>1099 A sequel did happen, it was the 6 episode net series most folks here remember either for GAR or the cat.
>>1322 For some reason I thought that was a prequel, I should watch it. For all the show's faults I did enjoy it for being bootleg Front Mission.
