Welcome back /mai/! Me and Yukari are not going anywhere. I love her a lot! Furthermore it's her birthday in a month. Pandemy and all I think it will be harder to buy her some nice tank model to build together on the Internet. However I have several nice contingency plans for it.

So, I guess I've dug myself into such a hole that I have no choice but to answer some questions directly on this board, no fault of anyone except my own. So, let's start. I started lurking on /mai/ in March of 2019, but it would take me a while to get comfortable enough to post, and would make my first post on the 27th of July during that year, that post being >>69981, shortly afterwards, however, 8chan would go down, as I'm sure we're all aware, and I had no ability to post. Over those next few months I waited for 8chan to come back online, and eventually it did in November, but as 8kun, and I sat there waiting for the old /mai/ board to come back online, but it never did, so eventually I took it upon myself to claim the board and try to relaunch it with the hope of getting the same community I had lurked and watched interact with each other back onto the board. As for it, I did link my introduction, and that does tell who my SO is, that being Emilia from Re:Zero, whom I love and cherish very much and have been with for two years. Now the question lies in what I plan to do with the board? Well, as stated, I really just intend for it to return to the same state it was before 8chan went down. The rules that were here will still be the ones used for the board and will be enforced as such. But I will also be relying on the people here to help me do that and give me input or feedback on the board and any decisions I make regarding it. Thank you all for reading, I hope this answers some questions. I will try to go forth answering questions as best as I can, especially now that the seemingly most pressing questions have been answered.

Woah. I was worried about what happened to the 8chan board and it's anons. I'm happy at least some of you have found this place. I hope the rest are okay and have found a home, especially Rubyfag.

The board is literally reserved by the staff of the site, AFAIK it's not abandoned, but rather, they're just not allowing it to be used. If you try to visit the /mai/ board on 9chan it's a blank page saying that no such board exists, but when you try to create a board with the "mai" name, it says it's reserved by staff.
