waifu.ist Anonymous 09/28/2018 (Fri) 05:05:13 No. 68781
Since waifu.pl died and wasnt serious anyways, i made something like it. You can now make your waifu shrines at https://waifu.ist Main difference is that waifu.ist actually has some rules. Its still in kind of a test phase but it should work for the most part If you find any issues pls say so, so i can fix them. More info here https://waifu.ist/info
very nice waifu.pl really went to shit
I actually need some help with this. I created a profile but I have no idea how to edit it, I never knew how to edit waifu.pl either because I never got help. Thanks.
>>68783 What do you want to edit? Im assuming the page itself. For that you need to look up how to HTML/CSS its easy to learn. After you make something, you can just drop the files in. Make sure to name your main page index.html.
>>68784 Oh right! I learned all that from a game maker a while ago, thanks!
>>68781 Thank you for picking up the torch and doing it much better than I ever have.
rip waifu.pl Is it ok to make advertisement for the page or should I wait until the end of the "test phase"? Are you interested in importing old waifu.pl pages?
>>68823 Sure it's fine it's seems to be working well enough for now anyways. As for the old waifu.pl pages anyone who had one there is welcome to reupload them to waifu.ist as long as theyre serious of course.
I'm excited about this! I made a page and will work on it. It's also our 8th anniversary (almost 9 years since I fell in love with him, but 8 as an official couple!) so this came at the perfect time.
I'm having a lot of fun working on my shrine! I haven't wanted to code again since I completed my university degree for Computer Science, really killed my passion so thanks for reigniting it /mai/.
>>68830 >>68832 Im really glad you guys are having a good time with it! Makes it feel much more worth it knowing it makes someone happier even if just a little.
I didn't bother with it the first time, I'll do it later tonight though
Reminder to keep discussion on topic.
Hey I tried to make a shrine but the icon doesn't show, I uploaded my files on the manager including index.html but the page says 404, so I connect to ftp but it says "451 ENOENT: no such file or directory"
>>68992 Sorry that was a problem i thought i fixed with uppercases i fixed yours and will fix the issue again
>>68993 Perfect thank you
>>68994 no problem the problem should be fixed for good this time i hope
I had to take a break from working on my shrine for a while, but I'm back to working on it and it's really a lovely thing to be given a special space to make. I hope to see more of everyone else's shrines made with love too. Thanks again for making this possible.
>>69040 I love your shine and your cake looks great, Mrs. Kaiba! I hope more people are able to make more progress one their shrines.
>>69045 Thank you very much for the kind words, and I hope the same to see more from everyone else! So far everyone's work is really nice and makes me happy.
I've been waiting for something like this
this is very cool! i love HTML and this seems like a lot of fun~
>>68781 >no ponies Finally.
Just made a page, hope to be able to make a better one in the future, but so far the few things I learned from the tutorial I found are not enough to make something I'm 100% satisfied with. Good initiative.
>>69040 Mrs. Kaiba I noticed you a few months ago already but now I really have to give you my proper respects. Saw your shrine yesterday and your dedication is remarkable. Then this cake you baked, Iit looked delicious. And all the BEWD cards you have. Do you also collect? He is a lucky one to have you as his wife. So in a way you motivated me to create something remarkable for my girl as well. This weekend I will try to get this HTML stuff done. I had some HTML classes in college but that was year 2015 and I always sucked at programming. Also writing a song for her since yesterday. You really gave me an energy boost and the motivation to do it. Hope I can get this stuff done and that it will be good enough. By the way as a ygo oldfag I was really glad that you like him so much. He was always my favorite character and I think he is one of the most misunderstood characters ever and he gets too much hate. On the outside he looks arrogant and cold but deep inside he just wants to protect his brother and give him a better life. I am sure you are a good person and I am glad you found this board. I wish you a nice evening. Greetings go out to you as well Ruby-san, I did not forget you and all the other posters as well :)
>>69229 This was such a sweet and thoughtful comment, you made my day, thank you! I do collect BEWD cards, I'm trying to get as many different printings in English and Japanese as I can. I really care about Kaiba a lot, and we certainly share a passion for his favourite monster! I'm so happy and honored that I could inspire you, I'd love to see your finished shrine. Mine is still in progress and I'm currently working to finish his about page, but I don't want to rush it, there's no rushing something you want to pour your heart into so no need to worry if it takes a while in my opinion. And making a song sounds absolutely wonderful, I wish I could do something like that! The closest I can do is craft projects, I'm making some Nendoroid figures and 1/6 dolls of us currently which I'll post on the site when it's done. It really makes me happy to hear that. I really love everything about Kaiba with all my heart and it means a lot to me when someone else can see how much I love him too. I hope you have a wonderful day with your waifu! You seem like a good person too, have a nice day!
>>69237 Good evening. I am so glad you like the BEWD as well. Here are the ones I have in my trade binder. The 2 Japanese cards are from a friend of mine. He did an Asia trip in 2014 and brought them for me as a present from Japan. You indeed gave me a big motivational push. Seriously . I wanted to write down this song for 2 months already but always found excuses. Now I fired the lyrics out in 2 nights with ease. Never thought it would be so easy. However, the song is actually not original content but rather a modification of a song I can deeply indentify with. I am not that much of a creative mind to create an entire song for her. Yet. This is one of the things I often hate myself for. To not have the ability to express myself to her like I wished. But I will work on that one and get better. Even if it takes a decade. Still have to start the shrine though. It likely won't be before next weekend until I have it done but today I will create a profile and set everything up. I will post the song there as well along with some words I have for her. BTW you wrote you will craft figurines of Kaiba and you. I am looking forward to those. You are right about the rushing part. If you want it to be done well there is no use to rush things. Better take some time than deliver something half baked. One can feel your passion for Kaiba. I mean all those collectibles you have. The cake you bake. The only thing I have of my beloved one is 3 trading cards. Next year I will visit some conventions and try to find at least 1 good piece of her merchandise. I am glad if my posting made your day and I also wish you a nice day.
>>69244 Your collection is amazing! And such a kind gift from your friend. I don't have a recent picture of my collection or anything, so it's a shame because I can't show some of the cool copies that I have… but here's a random page I have a photograph of on my PC. I have the same arts in Japanese as you can see here. I'm excited to see what you make, good luck with both the site and the song! I try to do everything I can for Kaiba so I write about him a lot, but I want to make this page perfect. I think that modification or not, it's a really beautiful thing to make for your waifu! I really admire that. I'm sure you will express your love for her and more, and I'm sure that she appreciates it. Don't be too hard on yourself. Give us an update here when your site is up, I'll check it out and I'm sure that others would love to see it too. I'll update here when more of my site is finally finished too. Thank you so much for your kind words, but material items aren't the only way to measure love. I can tell from your post alone that you love your waifu very genuinely. I hope you can get the merchandise though, it is very nice to have! Enjoy your day!
>>69247 hello again. those cards are beautiful. The center one has an artwork I have never seen before. Must be a special release, probably very expensive as well. The ones with the stone table in background are the artworks I do not like '^^. It somehow looks weird to me. The center low card seems interesting. It has the world and neutron blast design that I like most, but I cannot remember a set where it was released back in the day in america (the top left one is from Duelist Pack Battle City IIRC). Did this card perhaps get a release in a magazine or something? Because the one I have was released in Banzai magazine around year 2004. In any case your collection is beautiful and I am really happy about your dedication. I mean, you also have protective sleeves for each card so one can know you really care about it. yes I intend to do some advanced rhyme art eventually with 4+ sylabille rhyme chains. the song is completed but now I need to tinker around with the html stuff. It has been 3 years since I last did it so it will take me some time to get back into it. I will let you know when I am ready. Maybe some time around sunday. thank you for your kind words and also have a nice day.
I think I've got my page in a good spot now. There's some other things I'd like to do with it eventually, but I managed to get my original idea done with some resources I found online. Thank you for the site.
>>69253 The center one is Japanese printing only, from the Jump Ryu Volume 8. I bought the whole thing but I intend to buy more copies of the card so I can keep 9 on a page in my binder. My favourite arts that one and the original, but I like them all. The center low card is JMP-001, the first Jump promo card to be printed and the first printing of that artwork.The top left one I have is actually from a more recent set. Maybe I'll take updated photos sometime since I have a lot more cool ones in my collection, recently I ordered 2015-JPP01 (2015 YCS Promo) and a Japanese original art secret rare. I really care for my collection a lot and I'm glad you can see it! Afterall, I have to treat Kaiba's beloved and favourite card with love. That's really impressive! Good luck with the site! It's been nice to speak with you.
quick question to the html magicians of you is there any way to quickly embed a text into your html page? like copy pasting all the lines from a .txt document so they are displayed likewise on the html site. I really don't feel like pasting line for line with break line tags and the likes.
>>69286 I think I found what I was looking for seems like the <p> tag is what I need. unless someone finds an even better solution of course
>>69286 >>69287 Depends. If you want it to be displayed exactly how it is on the txt file the <pre> tag might be what your looking for. Or if you just want the line breaks you can set the "white-space" of the text to "pre-line"
>>69289 hey thank you ayaya this was exactly what I was looking for here have this webum I found
I could have never imagined that this can be so much fun I can recommend this to anyone.
I have a quick question and sorry if I'm overlooking something. I uploaded a placeholder but when I check my page it still just the 'please come back later' message. Did I do something wrong?
>>69456 did you call your page index.html and is it in your root folder?
>>69457 Thak you anon, that helped. I'm pretty new to this, so sorry about the dumb question.
This makes me want to revitalize my web dev past. This is great, thanks Ayabro. It's been so long since I've been back here….hi!
well, you weren't kidding when you said the file up-loader was bare bones welp. it'll take me some time before I can upload anything due to complications I need to reformat everything on my end before I can install, let alone use filezilla / any application that connects to the internet..
>>69496 duh, just use the javascript drag and drop thingy
>>69518 ain't working for me nigga also, don't you think I would have tried that to start with
Mrs. Kaiba I summon you Those chocolates you shared with Kaiba for christmas, are those Gunz chocolates from austria? Gunz has a seashell chocolates line that looks exactly like the ones on the lower part of the photo. I like those pretty much.
I found the link: https://www.gunz.cc/product/Maitre-Truffout/Pralines-sea-shells-250g/9002859033360?ip=ls_rp%3D1%26u_stid_prev%3D3 Maitre Truffout is their brand name for this type of stuff I wonder if it is the same you had.
ayaya thank you so much the css today looks beautiful the animated hearts and everything so gorgeous
>>69575 The chocolates are by Guylian but the ones you linked are really nice. Thanks for visiting my site after all this time, I'm going to update it for our Valentines soon. Really beautiful and thoughtful chocolates that you got Hifumi for Valentines by the way.
>>69624 thank you kaiba-san
>>69624 Yesterday I saw the chocolates you made for him this is real dedication. I am sure he was filled with joy and incredible warmth when he saw it.
I have rewritten the the websites backend. Everything should work mostly the same. But please let me know if you run into any bugs
thank you ayaya
I've already set a page up, it doesn't have all of its sub-pages up but I am working on it. By the way - how would you get a random image to show up each time? I want my homepage to display her story sprite in a random costume.
>>69850 You would have to use javascript to pick an image out of an array of urls
>>69852 How would you go about putting Javascript with HTML?
You can do it with a script tag. Recomended
<script src="/path/to/file.js"></script>
or
<script>
... some code here
</script>
>>69855 And I would put that script in place of the <img> tag, correct?
>>69856 No, preferably you would put at the end of the <body> tag, right before you close it
>>69857 Where would the image be placed then?
Im not sure how you wrote your script, but the image should be in the same place it was
This is what I have after some searching things up. What do I do with the top part?
>>69860 That will just append 18 image to the end of the page. You can just do something like this.
var imgArray = ['image_1.png', 'image_2.png', 'image_3.png', 'image_4.png'];
var basePath = 'images/';

var image = new Image();
image.src = basePath + imgArray[Math.floor((Math.random() * imgArray.length))];

document.getElementById('imageid').appendChild(image);

And remove the <img> tag from your html since the js adds it for you
actually wait, replace imageid in that code with rightColumn
>>69862 Thanks anon.
>>69863 no problemo anon
>when leahfriend announces an update by 26th of july and you open his shrine and he indeed updated his site greets anon I really wanted to see what you prepared very beautiful
>and early in this month of July, I got some keychains of her at Anime Expo. I was at one in June DOKOMI DUESSELDORF and it was disgustingly hot why do people do this? it would be much better if cuckime expos were scheduled for october or march But I am happy you found some merchandise. I did not find anything of Hifumi that is the original reason I went there tbh but at least I saw one girl cosplay as her. I was very happy to see her. She even let me take a picture greets
>>69975 thank >>69976 >anime expo It was air conditioned, but also quite hot outside, maybe because of the LA smog. I didn't see anyone cosplay as her there, in fact I saw only one or two LL cosplays
>>69978 thx fam
Is there a problem with the security certificate?
>>70869 No, it expired at 2022-03-04T23:26:01 but it's still secure.
