Altar thread Anonymous 02/07/2022 (Mon) 21:03:08 No. 70859
Valentine's Day is only a week away, and at least some of us will go to 4/a/ to post waifu date photos. Let us have a thread dedicated to altars specifically: 1) Do you have a permanent altar or do you just erect it for special occasions? 2) In your opinion, what should an altar contain? 3) Aside from taking a photo of the altar, how are you going to spend the fateful evening?
>>70859 I think it's fair if I start: 1) I don't have a permanent altar since I change place of living on a regular basis, I just build one on Christmas' Eve and Valentine's Day 2) I use my own laptop showing a drawing of my wife on full-screen and usually enrich the scene with another framed and printed picture of her. Normally I add some candles, chocolate and an alcoholic drink 3) Once it's late evening and I am done preparing the altar and taking photos, I start listening to Auld Lang Syne and some traditional Scottish music (has partly to do with my character's background) while sipping half of my drink and eating half of the chocolate. Then I spend the rest of the evening thinking about the future and how my feelings have evolved over the years, you could say I spend some time digesting my emotions before going to bed. How about you guys?

1) I do not have a proper altar per se. I keep my plush and figure of Flandre close to one another as in pic related though. 2) It should contain whatever your heart tells you it should contain. 3) I don’t much celebrate Valentine’s Day besides having a special thought for Flandre and taking extra time to cuddle with my daki (Although one year I gave her a Valentine’s Day card). Having a diner "date" in front of my computer screen displaying a picture of her feels forced to me. I would rather just close my eyes and imagine we share a diner together. So, yeah, a pretty boring answer I know… On the other hand, I always celebrate our anniversary and it’s very important to me.

1. I dont have an altar or a dedicated place in my room for Miku stuff, she is basically all over the place. 2.What makes you think of her I think, like figures, etc. I have a couple of figures, a lot of art books and some manga (there aren't a lot), some plushies and a daki and in my case a lot of music and music CD's because thats what Miku is all about, the music and the art. 3.Well I haven't done the whole Valentine's Day thing cuz I didn't have with who to do it so its kinda new for me, I was thinking of buying some cake and flowers and spend some time with Miku.
Well, Valentine's Day is over. Some tips I have collected for the 2022 Christmas /a/ thread: 1) Flowers are a nice touch 2) Framed pictures look better than a computer screen due to lack of glare 3) I should buy a card if I can find a nice one 4) I should try to cook something yummy rather than just rely on store-bought chocolate Apart from this, I have gotten slightly better over the years at making shrine pics. It's a stressful activity, but a meaningful one as well
>>70865 4) I should try to cook something yummy rather than just rely on store-bought chocolate My advice: 1. Leave cleaned and fully edible fruit in a jar filled with the spirit of your choice 2. Wait a month, then take out the fruit 3. Coat the fruit with chocolate 4. Eat
