Character Popularity Anonymous 12/22/2022 (Thu) 03:06:25 Id: bd93bd No. 36493
Im making this thread because Im curious about some things. We all know the classics: Tifa, Lucina (or fire emblem girls in general), basically all Pokemon girls, Samus, Zelda and all her versions, etc. These are basically the holy grail for tickling smut. I know that there really isnt a science to it beyond "theyre hot and theyre women", but I wonder if theres a specific reason why these characters in particular seem to be favorites for the tk community. My second question then would be what your personal preferences for characters are. Is there anything that attracts you to a character in particular and makes you want to see them in tk art? Or is there nothing beyond "this character is hot and I wanna see them wrecked"
>>36493 Lucina is popular because she is tickled in her own game. The rest are just popular female characters in general. Tifa in particular has one guy who spends a fuckton of money commissioning art of her.
>>36493 While it doesn't fit every single entry on the list, you'll find that the big targets tend to be nostalgic characters often in breakthrough games that leave a mark on the community, and it helps if they're a Nintendo character. FF7 was a lot of people's first RPG, Zelda is a storied franchise with multiple designs for Zelda, Samus is arguably one of if not the first woman in gaming, Lucina is the main character of the game that basically saved Fire Emblem (for better or worse), and Cynthia and other main characters aside, you'll find that a lot of the Pokegirl fascination mostly focuses on the Kanto women (Misty, Sabrina, Erika, Delia Ketchum, a little bit of Lorelei) with a little bit of Johto (usually Jasmine). Because of this, I think nostalgia is a key factor. All of these characters could potentially be someone's first video game/anime crush. Lucina is the odd one out but we know a lot of people out there are particularly weird and obsessive about Lucina. All of the rest can likely draw themselves back to formative childhood years while we as a community were figuring out what we liked. I think we see so much art of these specific characters because we're all indulging in the fantasies we wanted to see while playing our favorite games. Also, don't forget to add Chun-Li, possibly Cammy, and Mai Shiranui to the list of the big names in tickle art, also very nostalgia early fighting game-era women.
>>36497 Anon I hate to tell you this but Awakening is old enough that people who grew up crushing on Lucina as teenagers are now old enough to drink.
>>36497 >very nostalgia early fighting game-era women. I'm not gonna lie to you man, when I first played Mortal Kombat 2 and saw Sonya chained up in Shao Kahn's arena my immediate thought was "damn you could totally tickle her and she couldn't do a damn thing." I was a sick fucking kid.
>>36498 She is still the most recent character on that list, and if I didn't call out that she might be the odd one out I'd have someone saying "who's first crush was Lucina, she's so recent", so I really can't win no matter what I say.
>>36493 I believe it's because all five of these girls have very likable personalities and can also defend themselves. As for the second question, I've always been a sucker for tomboys, especially ones who are fit and have a sense of humor. Just the idea of a well built gal tempting me into tickling her to insanity is extremely hot.
>>36508 Regardless, I think your general point stands. She's a special case be cause again, she's tickled in Awakening itself and it's not shown onscreen so your mind wanders. But aside from that, it's not coincidence that these characters are also extremely common in any other fetish material. They say that formative years are where all this shit begins so it makes complete sense to me. That said I'm not sure if I believe Lucina's waifufags in particular are any more weird or obsessive than any other, let alone in her own series. The shit I saw back on /feg/, let me tell you.

>>36511 Semi-obsessed Robinfag here, can confirm lol
>>36497 Makes sense since it is also a generational thing. Back in very early 2000s Internet, fetish forums and Yahoo Groups (RIP) were fucking full of art of comic book girls often in their golden/silver age designs that boomers and gen X used to coom to, and plenty of that tickling art originated from the 90s, Then superheroines kinda fell out of tickling mainstream for some years until millennials who fapped to girls of Xmen/Batman/Spider-Man cartoons grew old enough to draw and post smut, and MCU has made superheroines more popular tickle targets again.
>>36496 Oh I can understand being hyperfixated on one particular character. Right now Im on a Mara Sov (Destiny character) streak and theres plenty more on the way lol. I do plan on stopping after a certain point though. I have some financial goals to meet this next year and dont want to blow it all on smut. I basically saw that she had 0 fetish content before I got to her. I rolled up my sleeves, cracked open the bank account and said "not under my watch". For me its all about her personality and her layers.. Shes a very stoic, hardass reclusive woman who wields a ton of power and is so old and can do so much that shes basically forgotten what it is like to be Human. She wears a porcelain Queen mask that she hides behind, and her subjects dont see her as just a Queen, they see her as a Goddess, and she rarely lets that mask slip so she seems cold and emotionless, because she feels she has to be a symbol more than a person. But underneath shes a softie that understands very well the gravity of her choices and the consequences of her actions. Hell she even has a quote that she tells her lover Sjur (the blonde chick tickling her in all these pics) that she cant worship her as a Goddess, because she cant love someone that has no power over her. Like, c'mon. Tell me that quote isnt handcrafted for this fetish. So yeah, shes incredibly appealing to me as a lee.
>>36497 This does make a lot of sense. I wonder what characters are going to take the centerstage as the younger generations come of age. I also wonder if the heavy hitters arr going to eventually be phased out and dethroned. Not that I mind if they dont, theyre classics and theyre hot, but I wonder if we mighr start seeing more varied lees in the next couple of years.
>>36510 Thats certainly an appealing archetype! One of my fave archetypes is stoic, composed posh lees that are used to wielding power and/or being in control until theyre tickled and turn into begging messes that grasp at any ounce of composure they can get. (Pic related) I think for me it stems from the fact that Im similar to that personality wise and Im a switch leaning more lee. Not the wielding power part, mind you Im just an average coomer schmuck on the internet, but the being serious part. I tend to be measured in how I carry myself around people and Im only comfortable expressing strong emotions around people Im super close with. With coworkers, strangers, etc its more...calculated? "I know I should smile here, because its whats acceptable socially" kind of deal. Or "I should feign a chuckle at this joke, not because it actually made me laugh but because it will be awkward if I dont". But when Im tickled all that shit goes out the window and I become an unrecognizable mess, which is super hot to me and part of why I have this kink. I like losing that control.
>>36493 Confirmation bias? All the characters you mentioned are from japanese videogames, as opposed to anime, manga or western media. And, with the exception of Tifa, they're all from Nintendo franchises. Maybe you just like japanese games and want to jerk off to their characters, so that's what you tend to notice more? I mean, there's plenty of tickling art of things like Fate, Street Fighter, Evangelion, Naruto etc, not to mention seasonal waifus
I like Asuna's archetype and design and want to cuddle her after cute friendly tickling sessions
Oldfag here. I still remember back in the day when produced tickling content was much harder to come by, where you could only do like mail order for videos on VHS and mainstream scenes were all the rage. Characters like April O’Neil and Olive Oyl were like patron saints of the community before the mainstream media starting seeing tickle torture in kids media more as a “bad touch” and it started becoming far more rare. Characters like these were like the only source for the types of fictional scenarios that have since become a mainstay in the community. And that is actually another reason behind the appeal of fictional characters; there are just some scenarios you can only see in art or animation and would be far more difficult to portray in live action.
>>36521 >I mean, there's plenty of tickling art of things like Fate, I was gonna bring these girls up, since they're what come to mind for me if we're talking 'holy grail of tickle smut'. For multiple reasons. I think most of these characters are just popular in their own right and end up 'organically' getting a ton of porn, ticklish or otherwise, with the exception of oldfag syndrome like >>36537 mentions making some specially popular, and obsessions within the community like the infamous tifafag and QQ's thing for Samus. Still, I think OP just tends to hang out wherever girls from nipponese videogames are most popular, surprised he didn't bring up Peach honestly.
>>36542 Yeah it could be a confirmation bias as another poster mentioned. Didnt bring up Peach as shes a Nintendo girl and half of my original list was already Nintendo girls lol. I do tend to hang around the "mainstream" tk artists, so thats probably why I see so much of these particular picks.
