TTRPGs and Tickling Anonymous 04/13/2023 (Thu) 10:20:22 Id: 168034 No. 44854
Lately I have been killing my private time by engaging in solo TTRPGs, both proper and lewd ones, influenced by generals for both in 4chan's /tg/. It has been surprisingly fun at least in the entry level. I am what I am so I've been wondering if any of you fellow tickling degenerates have ever gone out of your ways to write rules for tickling content in traditional role-playing games or created homebrewn monsters or spells for it? And even worse, have you taken it beyond daydreaming and solo play and actually dared to actually bring your magical realm of tickling (disguised as totally not DM's fetish of course) on table with other players? I have been considering making some tickling related assets and tables for Ironsworn: Starforged, once I've played it enough to better grasp things that are mechanically fun in it.
>>44854 The ideas have been tossed around before, and there's no real practical application (or reason) to incorporate fetishes into TTRPGs. Tickling spells or a system surrounding it could be fun, but they would be so obscure that I'd doubt many campaigns would even broach a single tickle scene without the DM carefully setting one up. And most people can recognize when a weird obsession or fetish is being shoehorned into a campaign in my experience. There wouldn't be much fun around it unless you for some reason have a posse of open ticklefags that also happen to see/talk to each other regularly and are all willing to act in ostensibly a live performed group masturbatory storytelling exercise. Tickling penalties like in that fourth pic could be fun in such a situation, a bit like tickling someone to break their concentration in a video game, but that's about it. I want to tickle the fuck out of that Tiefling girl in the D&D movie.

For no reason, I need yous guys to tell me what your favorite fantasy RPG character archetypes are. Like the pretty pure priestess/white mage lady, or the gloomy warlock, etc.
To play as? Gloomy and mysterious mage obsessed with new spells, new knowledge… basically Raistlin, I guess. If you’re talking more about ticking, female thief, rogue, renegade… someone feisty and confident who doesn’t even think about being ticklish until they end up in some fetish dungeon after a job gone wrong.
I haven't played very much D&D or TTRPGs, but I do sometimes want to build a setting. I envisioned some NPCs for a potential campaign. Just cutting to the fucking chase, a vain and prideful female Red Dragon is part of a centuries-long feud with a jovial and feisty Copper Dragon, who may or may not have become infatuated with her (against alignment) due to discovering during a clash that she has a ticklish spot. He exploited this fact, not only getting the upper hand in this fight, but also threatening to blackmail her by spreading the rumor for all to know.
>>44989 For me, I enjoy playing a Warlock in service to an unknown outer God. My whole thing was using my free action of changing my form to constantly warp around what I looked like for intimidation purposes. It was fun.
>>44854 I've never been into ERP, but I do enjoy TTRPGs, and I would generally feel very uncomfortable if someone at the table started overtly bringing their fetishes (even if it were my fetish) into a game. Theoretically, you could be subtle about it, but I wouldn't trust anyone who's willing to go that far to be subtle. Obviously, it'd be different if everyone goes in with the understanding that it's going to be a lewd game, but at that point, I have to wonder why even bother with the "gameplay" aspect of it when you could be using a more rules-lite system. Basically this >>44868. >>45001 I'm curious how a dragon would even have a ticklish spot, but that honestly just seems like a very Copper Dragon thing to do.
>>44989 What my penis likes? Haughty, aristocratic lady knights and paladin women who are unbearably sensitive under those armors. What have been my favorites to play? I like clerics with down on their luck backstories.
I have actually done a whole campaign with other tickle enthusiasts! Not much homebred really, just played 5e as normal but roleplayed it that attacks tickled instead of hurt. Was fun designing magic items that tickle, growing the character relationships as their feelings on tickling changed, taking down the bbeg with a few fluttering fingers. I think the main fun came from actually playing dnd with the added benefit of engaging in kink, I had way better a time actually playing than getting my rocks off. If you ever get the chance, I'd highly recommend giving it a go! As for my fav archetype, I love a spoiled noble type who swears that being ticklish is beneath them... Only to be left squealing as fingers skittering under their arms. That or big, scary monstrous races being brought down by some tummy tickles.
>>45004 It would have been the scar from a previous battle where the scales never properly grew back, leaving just a little hole in her defenses. Definitely not a vulnerability she would want adventurers or other rival dragons to her domain knowing about, as being defeated in such a ridiculous way would be absolutely humiliating. Of course, the copper loves this. He sees her as a living joke and takes every opportunity to lovingly mock his rival for this. I don't know if this would be a plot-hook or just part of the background flavor to the setting, but my dumb mind just got latched onto the idea of the big scary terrible dragon's weakness being something so childish and cringe. Also, Copper dragons seem like the type that may or may not have a tickle dungeon in their lair somewhere.
In attempt to salvage this thread, how about we post (or design ourselves) tickle monsters that could fit into a theoretical tickle-themed campaign/setting. Could just be images, but longer descriptions, stats, or lore also welcome, if you're so inclined. The more creative the better!
>>45061 Oh dude nice! I have a few similar creature ideas but no artistic talent. Is there any way you'd be interested in a commission?
Speaking as a ticklefag who loves all sorts of RPGs, I feel like I say this any time the subject comes up, but I hope it goes without saying: NEVER introduce your fetish into a regular game, no matter how sneaky and subtle you think you're being, it will always stand out like a sore thumb. Even if it's a druid who happens to be barefoot, the second you call out that she's barefoot someone's gonna clock you. If you were to set up a game with other ticklefags,it could be fun, sure. But you'd have to make sure you're all on the same page. No two ticklefags are entirely the same and if you get a couple who are into the storytelling and roleplay and a couple who are just looking to masturbate at the table, everyone is upset. A tickle RPG would basically be a standard tickle roleplay but with some gameified elements. I know DnD is just the brand name standard and it's the surface level most people know, but I don't think it would be a great fit. I'd probably take a more rules-light and most importantly generic system so I could run people through whatever sick fantasies they all came to the table for. I've been thinking about putting some time into a Cortex Prime or Genesys game based around tickling because those two books are very toolbox-y, but even something as simple as Fate would probably work really well. Fate lets you create aspects to your character that you can either spend points to use to your advantage or have used against you to get more points. I could see characters having a ticklish weak spot aspect that puts them in a bad situation if an enemy exploits it, and it lets you customize your abilities with stunts so you could write one that activates when you're tickling someone or being tickled. And past that pretty much all it is is rolling dice to see if you beat a target number. If you're looking for essentially a group tickle RP where there's a system in place to determine if you succeed or fail at something or what sort of twists occur in the narrative to put your characters in ticklish situations, Fate could work great. Also the rules are all free. So that helps.
>>45116 How much experience do you have playing/running Fate? I tried adapting the setting of a webnovel series to Fate, and it was an absolute nightmare to work with to the point that I completely abandoned it. Probably not the game's fault itself but rather a poor match for the source material I was using. That said, I still can't help but admire how elegant the system's design is. Using the Fate Point economy to barter narrative control appeals to me for some reason.
>>45131 I've read the books over a few times, and I am currently running a game now. I don't know what would cause so much of a problem to translate something into Fate, the system seems really simple to me. What were your problems with it?
>>45152 As I said, the main issue was probably just that Fate wasn't a good fit for the material I was trying to adapt. Fate seems to me like a very simple and universal system, but I was using it to build something more complex and specific, which led to me having to constantly homebrew mechanics and systems from scratch. To give one example: money was an important part of the setting, but Fate just doesn't have money, or rather it handles it in a completely abstract and cinematic way via the resources skills. Basically, I lost sleep over trying to figure out how to add things like money to Fate, which is a good sign that I needed to switch to a different game.
>>45160 Oh, that is a good point. If you're trying to get very complex and very specific, you don't want Fate. Fate is very loose and cinematic. If you need very granular stuff, you might prefer GURPS. I don't know how crunchy Cypher and Cortex Prime are on the scale of those two, but you could also try those.
If you want another rules light system, one of my favourite to work with is Powered By The Apocalypse. Super easy to make into your own setting (as evidenced by the sheer amount of games that use it differently). I used it once with Monster Of The Week to do a tickle monster game with some irl tickle kink friends. Simple enough the rules don't get in the way of kinks, still has rules to gameify if tickles happen.
>>45161 GURPS is exactly what I switched to because it's the opposite in the sense that it has so much supplementary content published that I could cut and paste what I needed.
