Aside from having an advantage against Roxie, Burgh, Elesa, Skyla and Marlon, its type combination gives it an absurd variety of resistances that only its three weaknesses will give it any real grief (and water obviously can't be safe unless it's a water/ground), and getting one with Sturdy helps it survive unexpected full-HP OHKO situations since Magnet Pull is more of a PVP ability with how rare NPCs switch.
