Anyone know a translation for Subaru's Zelda shit? Anonymous 12/23/2020 (Wed) 01:22:09 No. 7
It seems hard to find translations of them playing actual videogames, and when it is they're all "best moments" when all I want is a full translation of their actual gameplay. Anyone got an idea where I could find someone for that, especially for Subaru's shit since most of her translated stuff are collabs or non-vidya stuff?
Usually long-form content doesn't get translated. Doing a Best Of is much shorter and easier, and a lot of the content in full streams is pretty boring. There just aren't enough translators to do it. Even some extensive translations (Pekora's MGS runs) are still condensed, and they're unfinished because the translator only releases about 20 minutes every couple weeks. If you really want the whole thing "translated", your best option is probably YouTube automatic subtitles. They'll generate them and translate them into any language using Google Translate automatically. It's imperfect and you still need to know a little Japanese because some proper nouns are not translated, but you can get the gist.

>>8 >your best option is probably YouTube automatic subtitles. They do fuck-all from my experience, they just attempt to spit it out in text version.

>>11 Click the gear and select automatic translation. It's not perfect and you'll need context to make sense of some of it, but if you really want everything translated this is your best chance unless Hololive starts paying professionals to translate their back catalog. It just takes too long otherwise.
>>12 Thanks, a shame that I can't seem to do that in Invidious though.
>>13 Invidious just grabs video streams and then rebroadcasts them. Maybe if the original developers was still around they could retrieve the generated subtitles, too. Youtube-DL has an option to grab subtitles in a specific language. If your only goal is to avoid visiting YouTube directly then you could download videos with subtitles included and watch locally.
