Ok, kind of too late, but I've figured out what exactly is going on with YouTube algo and why everybody is inclining.
So, basically, several livers (Wilson in particular) got their Minecraft streams blessed by algorithm and put on top of recommendations. That's pretty obvious, but you would say "well, there's no guarantees that many people actually click on it". Well, you are actually factually wrong. They are forced to click it. Let me explain.
You see, autoplay is a default feature that is automatically on when you register a YouTube account. Everybody knows that and your first logical step is turn it the fuck off to not autoplay shit after you're done watching the video. But that's what a reasonable person would do. Average YouTube user not only doesn't give a fuck what they are watching, but straight up put everything on background on 2x speed as ADHD noise to distract themselves. It results in a hilarious outcome where an average retard will put Family Guy Funny Moments #253245 on YouTube background and will IMMIDIATLY get redirected to the top recommended result, i.e. Wilson's and co Minecraft streams. After that, it doesn't stop as the moment they get on the stream, their recommended gets flooded with Niji streams and VODs. Combine it with raids, and it results in thousands ADHD zoomers using some slop as background/sleeping noise getting through most of Niji catalogue. That boosts those streams and VODs through algo AGAIN and the cycle goes on and on. Obviously, no guarantees that even 80% of these people will stay, but there's a chance that at least few will actually get interested and stay on, either through redirects or flooded recommendations.
TL;DR The incline ISREAL buuut these numbers are insanely inflated and don't represented real audience whatsoever
