I do honestly think that that was because they were a drain of resources, but it ended up making it difficult for people to talk about the purge because all discussion was on a random Discord server. Even if one made a throwaway account just to see what was going on, you could not comment without providing your phone number, which for obvious reasons pretty much no one will want to do, especially babyfurs.
