okay I'll clarify
so Roe vs Wade was a SCOTUS ruling where they said that the constitution gives a right to abortion, thus banning states from banning abortion, meaning that it was legalized in all 50 states instantly regardless of the state laws
they just struck that down, meaning that states can now ban abortion if they want, and most red states will (or already have, because some have passed 'trigger laws' which explicitly state that the moment Roe vs Wade gets overturned, abortion is banned)
that leddit post is brainlet because the court just ruled that 'the supreme court does not have the power to tell states they can't ban abortion', and the ledditors respond by saying "reee you don't have the power to say you don't have the power" keek
>tbh don't federal rulings go under state law so all the libtard areas will just allow abortion anyway, like iirc how the AoC is technically 16 according to federal court but individual states raise it up
federal law trumps state law, but according to the constitution 'any authority which is not specifically endowed to the federal government is left to to the states' (in practice the federal government overreaches all the time, there's no mechanism to stop it other than SCOTUS)
so yes abortion will still be legal in blue states, what they're chimping out about is that they might have to drive to another state to get an abortion. and of course there will be all sorts of programs to bus pregnant women to the nearest abortion clinic in another state for free. and yes that about the AoC is true
