I was browsing Pinterest and I came across an interesting illustration of a lg in a nurse’s uniform. The source turned out to be a 1952 children’s book illustrade by Corinne Malvern and Band-Aid advertising called Nurse Nancy. Researching a bit more I discovered that aside from this Nurse Nancy there were two other similar but apparently unrelated Nurse Nancys.

Nurse Nancy number two is a very similar book from 1965 called Nancy Plays Nurse. Despite having a different author and illustrator the similarities are remarkable.

The third Nurse Nancy was a long running (1968 - 1998) strip in Twinkle, a British girls’ magazine, called first Nancy the Little Nurse and then simply Nurse Nancy. I don’t know if plagiarism was involved, but it’s an interesting coincidence at least. Hopefully there’s some r34 of any of them out there, or someone might be inspired to make some. Any little nurse/doctor art is also welcome. I wouldn’t be surprised if Trevor Brown might have been inspired by one of these characters.
