Serena stood barefoot in the blistering desert, her pale skin flushed under the relentless sun. She was completely nude, her golden hair cascading over her shoulders, but modesty was the least of her concerns. Her focus was on the mysterious L. Cut device—a last-ditch effort to stop Team Rocket's floating airship from wreaking further havoc.
The instructions were vague, the technology foreign, but Serena had no time to hesitate. "This has to work," she muttered, her fingers hovering over the control panel. Without another thought, she pressed the glowing red button.
A deafening hum erupted as twin beams of light sliced through the ground, carving a massive circular chunk of desert around the airship—and Serena herself. The severed land shuddered violently before beginning to rise, lifted by rockets hidden deep underground.
“Hey, what’s goin’ on?!” Meowth screeched from the deck of the airship. Jessie and James stumbled, their usual cocky demeanor replaced by sheer panic as their fortress ascended into the sky, trapped on the floating landmass.
Serena clung to the controls as the platform lurched upward, faster and faster. Wind whipped her hair, her bare form trembling against the freezing gusts. She smiled briefly, thinking victory was at hand—until the sky darkened unnaturally fast.
She looked up, her breath catching in her throat. The blue sky faded into blackness, and stars emerged, glittering coldly. The air grew thin, and a crushing realization swept over her.
“I’m going into space?” she whispered, her voice trembling. She clutched her throat as her lungs began to burn. Panicked, Serena puffed out her cheeks and held her breath, her face already turning a deep shade of blue from lack of oxygen.
The ground beneath her feet was bitterly cold now. She fell to her knees, gasping through closed lips, determined to hold on just a little longer. Her cheeks ballooned comically, but her body betrayed her, shivering uncontrollably as her vision blurred.
In the distance, she saw Team Rocket's airship, its engines sputtering uselessly in the vacuum. Jessie, James, and Meowth banged frantically on the windows, their cries silenced in the void.
Serena's body grew heavier, and her thoughts slowed. Her determination gave way to helplessness. "This… isn’t how it was supposed to go," she thought, collapsing onto the rocky surface.
The landmass, now a drifting island in space, carried her and Team Rocket far from the world below. Her puffed-out, blue face would become a haunting reminder of a well-intentioned plan gone tragically wrong.
