Hey. This is the furry board. We'll see how this goes, alright? Sister-Wives of /fur/: 【Comfy】|【Vidya B】|【Fast】|【404- RIP】

Furry games Toshiaki 05/28/2024 (Tue) 23:33:40 No. 9787
Not just games that happen to have anthropomorphic animal characters, but ones obviously written by or for furries. They are never high budget games, but some of them are pretty good anyway. Here are some that I have played and liked recently. 1) Tails Noir (previously called Backbone, then they changed the name for some reason). A point-and-click adventure game. Nice pixel art, great characters, and an interesting story. Kinda runs out of puzzles early on, but still fun. Although clearly furry, it's a normal game. https://www.gog.com/game/tails_noir 2) Cobalt Core. It's a rogue-like deck-builder, but I think that description sells it short, as the ship-to-ship combat mechanics are quite novel. A nice combination of relaxing and challenging. It has super-cute characters and a heart-warming story. Another game that normal people wouldn't bat an eyelid at. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2179850/Cobalt_Core/ 3) The Necromancer's Pact. A weird physics-based ball-flipping game. Not exactly ground-breaking gameplay, but you don't play this for the gameplay, you play it for the weird physics-based jiggly fox parts, which it has in exaggerated abundance. https://adinsteinx.itch.io/the-necromancers-pact 4) Kink Jinxed Halloween 2. Now we're getting into the really depraved stuff. This is a point-and-click adventure game, but designed to appeal to people with specific fetishes. Even if that's not your thing, it's fricken' hilarious, and cute. https://bubblegumdrgn.itch.io/kink-jinxed-halloween-2 5) Night Adventure. The author describes this as an "animation test", not a game, but you might still find it appealing if you're a perverted fox lover. Calming, and maybe even wholesome, as far as a fox molesting simulator can be. https://berside.itch.io/night-adventure-test

This place is really dead, huh? I secretly love shouting into the void though, so here's some more. Arcanium: A rouge-like deck-builder, as if we weren't already drowning in those. It feels a bit mobile-y, but it's fun anyway. Really nice character art, and lots of them. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1056840/Arcanium_Rise_of_Akhan/ Armello: Basically a board game. Very strategic, with multiple ways to win. Would be better if the devs weren't total twats. https://store.steampowered.com/app/290340/Armello/ Beyond The Edge Of Owlsgard: Old-school point-and-click adventure game. Like real old-school games, it has stupid illogical puzzles. Still, if you like games like Monkey Island and Broken Sword, you'll probably like this. Nicely drawn pixel art and good voice acting. https://www.gog.com/game/beyond_the_edge_of_owlsgard
>>9797 >This place is really dead, huh? Yeah, it's been slow recently. I blame summer and the currently ongoing vidya shows. >Arcanium: A rouge-like deck-builder Have you played Roguebook? All but one of the player characters are anthro and I like the balancing of it. There's also Banners of Ruin, but I didn't play it yet. >Beyond the Edge of Owlsgard Already on my backlog, I think I'm gonna have fun when I get to it. Lunistice is another 3D platformer on my backlog, I've heard it's pretty short, but fun. And though the "for furries" part is debatable, the "by furries" part isn't, so once again I'm gonna recommend Lugaru for being a playable martial arts action film.
>>9798 Just to keep the fire going a little longer, I would like to make some suggestions, as controversial as I fear they may be: Friendship with Benefits, Twistedscarlett60's copyright-friendly pastel horse game. Pretty decent VN, I am kinda glad Hasbro doesn't have the time or money to try to take it down: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1299370/Friendship_with_Benefits/ Snoot Game is pretty good too, I am glad that they took a woke game and made a better version of it: https://snootgame.xyz/index.html There's also I Wani Hug That Gator!, another good /hmofa/ VN: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1895350/I_Wani_Hug_that_Gator/ >>9797 Yeah. It's kind of sad, since I don't know of another place that carries on the spirit of 8chan's /fur/ board. If you have any ideas of other places like that, that would be good. Otherwise, it looks like much of the old community of 8chan is in tatters.

Here's a new one called Bombun by kekitopu >>457 https://inkbunny.net/s/3343961
>>9798 One thing I forgot to mention about Roguebook is that the DLC scheme is incredibly jewish. The only DLC worth any money at all is the extra character and I'd still call it overpriced. Other than that there's some cosmetic DLC, and one of them is quite literally just "Replaces a dozen jpegs in the game files with alt versions and changes card backs" as paid DLC. >>9811 Neat. Where's the announcencement? Searching Bombun only gives me some 2D Gamejam project.

I am not sure whether this qualifies as "by or for furries," but it might be adjacent, at least. https://spacedimsum.itch.io/morgansskateclub The guy writing it frequents the /hmofa/ (Human Males on Female Anthros) thread on the /trash/ board of another imageboard altogether. IYKYK. The game itself is a low-poly Tony Hawk clone with a chiptune soundtrack, a low-poly PS1 aesthetic, and lots and lots of playable anthro waifu characters. I personally like the title character, Morgan, a nerdy Christmas cake genetic chimera, but there are lots of characters to choose from, mostly lovable, and most of them are waifu'd by at least some people in the discussion threads that spawned the game, even the not-especially-friendly rat girl. There is even a sparkledog, and she is totally OP. There is a great deal of fanart of the game and of all the characters posted in the threads. Same guy has a very much unfinished, work-in-progress racing game called Knead for Speed, involving racing bread delivery vehicles through an enormous 3D city, picking up loaves of bread, also in a retro, low-poly PS1 sort of style. Currently contains two fuzzy ladies, and when you win they perform the dance of their people. Not sure if he's going to go any further with it or if it was acktchewally a demo for physics stuff and vehicles that are going to go into the skate game all along. https://spacedimsum.itch.io/bread The games are pretty comfy and the author seems like kind of a chill dude. There are physics bugs, and not everyone likes this kind of game, but I do not ask much of free software. No, there's no sex, though this does not keep people from lewding the characters in the /trash/ threads.

Here's one for ya. https://ralivdev.itch.io/archipelagates Early access, with not many features yet, but this is already something special. You can customize your character *and NPCs*. On the surface it's a 3rd person hack and slash game, but in addition to smacking down monsters, you can find NPCs wandering around who you can seduce and have sex with. The NPCs spend all their time seducing each other too. Really nicely animated.
>>10201 Sounds real neat, I'll check them out. There's not all that many indie Tony Hawk clones. >>10208 >hack and slash That can mean anything. Is it the Diablo variety or the DMC variety or the Darksiders variety?

I figure i might as well ask this here Am i the only one who notices this uptick of both anthro characters (even sexy furbait ones) appearing a lot more and even indie games made by furries rising into more mainstream popularity since the 8th gen? Why are they so much more common now than they used to be, say, 10 years ago? >>10281
(91.72 KB 320x200 Xia.png)

>>10549 I've noticed too. I guess it's because it's much easier/cheaper to make games now, so niche games get made more, and some of them end up popular because we furries are everywhere. And I'll contribute to the thread by mentioning Lustyrinth, which might be the most furry game ever made (pic related). A JRPG-style game where you fuck or are fucked by everything. Try to play it without laughing the whole time.
>>10549 Hard to say. Might be a sort of throwback to the anthropomorphic mascot era of console games.

Any of those furry games are RPG ones? I don't like roguelikes since I want to keep my shit after dying.

>>10549 Anthro characters have a lower skill ceiling to make and they're easier to make look not ugly. Another inadvertent benefit is that they completely sidestep concerns about diversity and representation.
