I haven't washed by bike since the end of last monsoon and don't even remember when I changed the oil last. I have the km written somewhere but it doesn't matter because the speedo cable broke long ago
>>323 good. which bike do you have
>>323 Cleaning bikes reminds me of the summer vacations where I'd go to my village and help my uncle clean his bikes. I used to think using idli like a sponge to clean the grease and dirt would be very effective. Comfy days.

>>324 Splendor unironically. I know no one wants to steal it but i still armed it with a hidden kill switch as a weekend project (this was when I was interning at a place known for bike thefts). It was as much for if any pehchaanwala got a hold of my keys as for a regular thief. Still one day I had taken it to a busy part of the city and when I came back I found the ignition connector removed (if you don't know this opens the otherwise short circuit parallel to the ignition coil, enabling you to start the vehicle without the keys in bikes with AC ignition). The handle lock was intact so i think it was someone who saw me do the weird action involved in activating the kill switch, deduced I had a one and just wanted to confirm his suspicions. >>325 Nice. I like clean cars and bikes but the effort involved is too much, it's a very boring job. Wish i had an rx too
>>325 smoking is for w*men and faggots
>>326 how does the killswitch work?

>>328 I put it in series with the ignition coil. I think it is better to put it between the capacitor discharge unit and the alternator coil, but this works too. No (or very little (I think some voltage jumps the switch contacts)) current to the cpil means no spark and bike won't start no matter what Now you have to hide the switch in a non-obvious place so people can't find it, but it should also be in a way that you can easily flick it (mine fails at both tbh)
>>329 >>329 >No (or very little (I think some voltage* jumps the switch contacts)) current to the cpil means no spark and bike won't start no matter what Some current*
>>330 >>329 i c i c what type of switch did you use?

>>339 single pole double throw (the other throw is useless i just bought this because the electronics guy gave it to me). It's rated for 12 volts DC I think, I'm using it to switch several hundred AC, but it has been years and it still works. Just wanted a switch that had standard spade connectors. If it ever fails open I will tie the two wires together and be on my way
>>340 i just paid 320 rs for gear lever what do you think. >single pole double throw why is the other throw useless?
>>341 >single pole double throw why is the other throw useless? because I don't use it >i just paid 320 rs for gear lever what do you think Bretty cheap what bike?
>>342 >i dont use it whaaaa!?? why dont you use it >what bike? discover 100cc 2009 model meeds some emgine work but still runs like a new
>>347 Why would I use it if just one throw is enough to break the circuit >eds some emgine work but still runs like a new You must get good mileage I love those small displacement bikes so much, super cheap to run. However I hate bikes with lousy brakes and lousy electricals/headlamp. It's a big safety issue. Mine has both and i nearly rode off the road and into what is basically a drainage stream, when riding at night with no street lights. It's a good thing i instead collided with an activa guy. Woh nahi hota to gutter me chala hi jaata mai. He was pissed but i just left the scene

Finally got the oil changed today @ 32083 km That's not the real reading because the speedo cable broke about 1.5 years ago which I also changed today. Just 560 rupees bretty cheap Wanted to get it washed too but i couldnt find a service station
>>348 >You must get good mileage yes!! its a good bike but not suitable for long rides. i get leg and back pain if i ride for more than 3 hours. >>348 my headlamp switch doesnt work, i use the passlinght switch during night. i want to get it fixed but i dont feel.like doimg it now
anyone else find it very hard to perceive the depth of those LED lights on new activas? I can see them easily but it's really really hard to figure out just where the light is - how far it is and the general location of it on the horizontal plane This happens even when they are on low beam not necessarily only when they're blinding you I was riding last night and saw a headlight, for a few seconds it felt very close, then it looked like it was far away, and suddenly I approached it, turns out it was a guy stopped on the wrong side of the road (mine) never would have guessed, it always looked like he was in the other lane, never happened with halogen lights either
>>442 I think it's true, it's like the light comes out of a spray can with a huge nozzle and it sprays all over. What's worse is cars with only one working headlight. Just few days back, almost crashed into a similar car thinking it was a bike
>run 100/90 watt halogens in stock reflectors (factory ones are 60/55) >notice yesterday the reflector is burnt due to the extra heat I wish there were xenon bulbs which did not have the faggy white/blue colour
