I'm not gonna pretend like I support e-celebs, but this kind of bullshit is getting out of hand when it comes to people acting like rabid faggots towards anyone on our side whom people don't like for some retarded reason.
e-celebs generally are cancer, and they should never be worshipped or relied upon for very long and immediately cast out when they stop being useful or start showing signs of betrayal. That being said, they can have some utility for a time, and Hero Hei is one of those few who strikes me as quite useful to our side and is unlikely to betray his beliefs, which are aligned with much of GG's.
I've been paying attention to what kind of person he was since the Vic incident since he was one of the few people defending him, and this guy is unique among that group of people involved.
For one thing, he supported Billy and OAG when it was under his control, a site that, while it was under him, never wavered in its support for freedom of speech and pushing back against SJWism, deplatforming, cancel culture and censorship while meticulously cataloguing every fucking instance of it in our sphere.
He more or less did the same thing, though not as good as Billy did, but he gained an audience on youtube for his efforts. Grew from 5k subs 2 years ago to now over 300k subs, and he is still anti-censorship and anti-SJW, and that is important because the anime media sphere has lacked a prominent person to act that way for a long fucking time.
Communities like Smug /a/ are fucking useless because they only keep to themselves. PLW is too small ever since the 8kunt shitstorm killed off so much activity on 8ch.net (and really the same goes for most boards as a result) and we've been on the defensive for the past 2 years as a result.
OAG has been successfully deplatformed and places like Sankaku are starting to lose their fangs thanks to SJW efforts against them.
Things are not looking fucking good, and there are still people here (not many, but enough; maybe they're fucking shills and redditors but they've been around for fucking ever) who would shit on places like OAG for Billy being "autistic" for caring about the truth and engaging with people and would call his site's death as a result of him not listening to him, rather than a much bigger system than him choking the life out of his site, along with the likely legal threats based on what we've seen.
I'm going on a tangent here but seeing people shit on Hero Hei for no real reason reminds me of what people used to do with Billy. That doesn't mean he isn't above criticism, that doesn't mean he should be worshipped or even trusted because he
is an e-celeb, but the dude is anti-censorship, pro-loli , pro-anime, and shits openly on crunchyroll, funimation, and defends anime against twitter outrage mobs, and he's fucking
successful in doing so.
His videos are pretty low effort now, but he realizes that being agile is the way to go about to get growth on youtube and to pull in people.
Creating a vanguard of pro-anime, anti-censorship people to fight back and actually potentially go on the offensive against these cancerous faggots

I used to check him out a bit during the Vic stuff but now his content is short-form shitposting, but I won't begrudge him for doing it because for the time being, shitposting against our opponents and gaining people to do it and fight back is something useful for now and he recognize d that that was the way to survive, grow and thrive for himself.
Ask yourself when was the last time you sent an email, made an infographic, helped organize something, helped gather more information for a GG operation or endeavor than just searching up an article or two, or did a mass archiving before you go around bitching about random people who are acutally doing something, and more importantly are
