8moe Interboard Games Re-Visited CLERMONT FOOT 63 05/18/2024 (Sat) 06:16:39 No. 5921
Welcome the the 8moe Interboard Games! After finishing Hunger Games at /b/ for around 5 matches, we've decided to go back to the drawing board and consider another game.
When we last discussed what games to try-- Potential Game Idea List: >any sports sims or wrestling game >Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 (/icup/) >Fire Pro Wrestling World (8chanmania) >WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw >Hunger Games Simulator >Soulcalibur VI >Hedgewars or Territory War or Worms >Stellaris or Galimulator >DOOM >AoE2 DE (Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition) >RTS or Starcraft? >Europa Universalis or Crusader Kings II grand strategy roll

If we ever want to go back to the Soulcalibur VI tournament, the good news is I have all the character slots from the last tourney games. It would be easier because I have most of the character submissions still.
Aún tengo todos los personajes del último torneo.
(The next time we host a game might be next week or a more of a while). La próxima vez que organicemos un juego podría ser la próxima semana o dentro de un tiempo.
>>5922 Doom could be fun.
OOOH YEEAAAH! SNAP INTO FIRE PRO YOU HULKAMANIACS!
>>5921 I suggest you to make two independent threads, one for Spanish speaking anons and the other for English speaking only, so more people would be able to contribute. >>5926 The issue with Doom is that we need someone who's into sprite making for making the custom characters sprites. I tried to do that with Slade and it was a fucking tedious process. I remember finding a thread on Doom World in which the OP posted a Python script that allowed him to turn a blender model into 8 views doom sprite, but I can't find it right now and I have no idea of viable that would be. Also the AI on Zdaemon is dogshit. >>5922 I think EU4 is doable. I remember some guy on Hispa made a blank map with custom made nations and let the AI play it while reporting interesting stuff. It was fun, but I'm a vicky player so I have no idea which tools he used for that.
Also, I suggest you to ask the roots for a global announcement.
>>5929 Where do we find roots?
Heroes of Might and Magic 3?
>>5930 Admins. Codexx, Acid, Parias. On the irc.
>>5929 What would you like the announcement to say?
>>5933 The announcement broadcast could say. 8moe Interboard Games at /icup/ board. Looking for volunteers & suggestions
>>5928 The situation with DOOM sprite art might be interesting. Do you still have the /ac/ Hilda sprite art pic?

I'm fairly experienced with Soulcalibur 6 & Hunger Games Simulator so far. Some games would be easier compared to others. Like Hedgewars or Territory Wars or Worms. /icup/ 8? Hosting another /icup/ would be ideal. It would take more community involvement and effort, but the information is available. Is the old /icup/ team disassembled? We would probably have to start from scratch or ask the old /icup/ hosts for help. It would take more community involvement and effort, perhaps. icup 7 archive: https://ia601509.us.archive.org/23/items/ICUP7/ ... An /icup/ tutorial: https://infinitycup.miraheze.org/wiki/Pro_Evolution_Soccer_2017 -- https://infinitycup.miraheze.org/wiki/How_to_host -- Might look into the RTS games or Hedgewars / Territory Wars / Worms. I don't have the wrestling games, so hosting those is a little dubious atm. I thought about trying Smackdown vs Raw 2011 or Fire Pro Wrestling World. Another idea I considered was a Sims game like Sims 4 or trying an arena gladiator match the way Krugsmash did with his Dwarf Fortress Splatterface series.
Here is a difficulty scale for games I might host-- (from easiest to hardest): EASY tier >Hunger Games Simulator >Territory Wars, Hedgewars, Worms MID tier >Soulcalibur 6 >The Sims (1, 2, 3, 4?) >RTS like AoE2 DE HARD tier >Wresting games >Grand strategy games like EUIV or Stellaris or Crusader Kings EXTREME tier >DOOM >Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 We could try Fire Pro Wrestling World, but I'd need to get a copy of that game. I feel lenient towards what I put in easy to mid tier games in terms of hosting.
>>5931 I'll look into Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Do you think we could get something going with that game and all the boards?
Hi. BO of /comfy/ here, I don't have many anons right now since my board is new but I am interested in those interboard games event. Is there a archive of all the previous played games so far? Anyway I would like to see that my board participate in those games too and I wouldn't mind some announcement post in advance. Thank you very much for your time.
>>5941 >>>/comfy/ anon here, and I wanna back up my BO, and say we are excited to play games together with you all. :)
>>5939 How would a sims tournament work? You just put them all in a house and wait for them to die?
>>6116 It could be like an 8moe sitcom

>>6116 One of the only ways to really make some sort of competition or tournament out of the sims would be to set up multiple households and see which one reaches a certain goal first. Maybe whichever sim successfully gets married and has a baby first wins, for example? Each household would be made up of sims representing various boards. With how much customization there is, especially with mods, it would be pretty easy to make them look like the OC or characters they are representing. Of course, that would be what takes up most of the time in terms of prep. Downloading mods, customizing possibly a dozen or so sims, building interesting houses for them to start out in, etc. That work could be shared though, isn't there a way to share sims 4 creations through a private link? >>6118 That would be another way, just putting a bunch of sims in a big house and seeing what happens. But that seems better suited for some kind of edited playthrough video and not so much competition. Would be funny though.
I want to host another game, but I'm not sure what game. I've been thinking Hunger Games or The Sims (1, 2, 3, 4?) would be fun.
I am planning on a Sims 3 show, but I'm not sure how to make it entertaining to watch.
