Why wouldn't it be is a better question anon. Dissemination of state propaganda to it's masses has been a long tradition for nations throughout history anon. Learn psychology. Some people care about status and big name publications. Some people only care about the status quo. Some people only care about muh facts, logic and reason. Some people only care about muh feels. Etc...

The people who the secret police get sent against are the only ones who even agree that secret police exist, and said people have been shut out of the major social networks which would allow them to inform others.
