Saudi National Day 09/23/2021 (Thu) 03:57:48 No. 2894
Today is the 89th anniversary of the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one of the last absolute monarchies on earth

>>2894 I fixed your gif. Not sure it's sacrilege to let Grace dance in front of the shahada, so I spoilered it. Instead I offered a version with the royal emblem
>>2897 thanks, im a bit of a boomer when it comes to photo editing. Also, شكرا for correcting the issue with the shada, I unfortunately forgot about that myself, even as a muslim.
>>2894 Wasn’t it the 91th anniversary not the 89th ? also ‏كل سنة وانت مبارك
This raises a question should Grace convert to Islam and are there pics of this?
>>2915 1. Perhaps, not, but I see no reason for more art of her post-conversion 2. Not that I know of yet, just the GIF's
Surprising they didn't blow themselves up
>>2917 Israel didnt exist then to make fake terror organizations to get them to blow up
cant wait for the Islamo-Grace art
>>2917 haha an overused joke on the internet 101, get lost u idiot.
>>2919 She’d look cute in a hijab
>>2937 ikr
>>2937 Good news: art has already been made of that The catch: it was /abdl/
>>2920 just like /monarchy/
i'm surprised that those guys didn't fall for the constitutional bullshit
>>2955 Ive thought about this for a bit, wouldn't any monarchy following Islamic Law be a constitutional one, as the Qur'an and Sunnah are the constitution they need to follow
>>2960 Absolutists don't see a problem with following the laws of God and nature. The main difference between an absolutist and constitutionalist is the former is for a pre-eminent Monarchy with the relationship of the general to the particular, while the latter is for a limited monarch that has the relationship of particular to general. So when an absolutist talks about being "absolved" to act from laws (Princeps legibus solutus), they mostly refer to human laws or customs (with respect to fundamental laws, meaning the laws concerning the state of monarchy itself). Jean Bodin always left the clause "except for the laws of God and nature". (Read the Absolutism series in Grace OC thread). >wouldn't any monarchy following Islamic Law be a constitutional one So to answer your question, that is not so, from an absolutist perspective, if those are the laws of God and nature.
I’m sad there are no states ran on Christian principles like Saudi today. I’ve heard good things about life there–stuff like how people can even leave stores unlocked as they go off for prayer and stuff like that
>>2985 Based Saudi posters on /monarchy/: >supports an Islamic Kingdom and ideals of monarchy. >Understands how politically monarchy works for such principles to flourish Some cursed /christian/ posters on /monarchy/: >support anarchist ideals >put their local priest before the entire kingdom >will never see those principles realized beyond their parish despite dreams of a theocracy
>>2986 Protestantism was a mistake. It unironically killed the West.
>>2987 The Church decentralized into multiple denominations. I don't see the problem here.

>>2988 Protestantism was a re-judaization of Christianity. Multiple books of the OT were thrown out because the Jews did not have these books in their Bible (which was not even a firm canon until after the death of Christ). Luther even tried to throw out the book of James, written by the brother of Jesus himself, because it didn't fit with his own theological leanings. Protestantism unleashed relativism into the Christian world, and opened up the Bible to personal interpretations over actual spiritual, apostolic authority. This is why there are 30,000+ Protestant denominations today and McChurchs in every strip-mall. Protestantism is a major contributor to atheism as well, and is more of a form of bibliolatry (sola scriptura is a self-refuting meme as well) than an actual tradition like Orthodoxy or Catholicism is. Take the Eastern Orthodox-pill.
>>2989 >This is why there are 30,000+ Protestant denominations today and McChurchs in every strip-mall. Nope, not problem at all. ' Should be as many denominations like the border gore map of the HRE.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Custodian_of_the_Two_Holy_Mosques >The first King of Saudi Arabia to assume the title was Faisal bin Abdul Aziz (1906–1975). His successor Khalid did not use the title, but the latter's successor Fahd did, replacing the term "His Majesty" with it. The current king, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, took the same title after the death of King Abdullah, his half brother, on 23 January 2015.
