Actually, training is far more important than the gear. In any apocalypse, there will always be more guns than people. But if you're going to grab that ambi gun and you want it to last a long time, get one with higher end parts, privately made (more expensive). Maintain it, maybe even get some spare parts if you want to go full prepper. The main thing there is ammo. You want it to fire something very abundant. That's a common refrain among vets and why so many get similar rifles to ones in service. It's not that we are just addicted to one weapon most of the time, although it is something you're already skilled in. Often requirements for a different mission are more ideal for something different. And what's with your goal of fucking dying? 90% of self-defense is just awareness of the environment. Nononsenseselfdefense covers that well. The next 5% is using a basic firearm. The next 3% is basic martial arts. The next 1% is more advanced moving, shooting, and fighting, and tactics. The last 1% you never reach, but you get a piece of it with advanced training and topics after all that.
