>>17771 iPhone is best phone thx
>>17781 I have an S21fe and I don't plan to change it unless the screen gets damaged.
Just curious, has the voice assistant on android been working for people? When I tried it, it never fucking worked AND you had to unlock your phone to do simple tasks.
I've been using a Pixel 8 running iodéOS for the last year, and so far I've been fairly happy with it.
>>17880 I'm very tempted to upgrade to the Pixel 9a, but many of the roms I like still don't even support the Pixel 9 yet. The Pixel 9a also have quite a thicc bezel..
>>17882 Isn't 9a kind of crappy hardware and they are leaning heavily on AI to be more efficient? If so, I would not expect custom ROMs to perform so well. Which turns me off from getting one because a custom ROM is a must for me. Can anybody dispute this?
>>17915 If my freaking Poco F1 can run lineage 22 smoothly, I see no reason why Pixel 9a won't
>>17915 >>17919 My father runs the latest Lineage on a god damn Redmi Note 10 Pro. It's Snapdragon 732G is actually less powerful than the SD845 in the Poco F1, and yet it still runs the OS really well. Fully degoogled and using only FOSS apps, but that's the way he likes it.
>>17880 >>17922 Very based.
I have a z flip 4 and i love it everyday. I know its not the most durable and it did develop scratches on the crease from normal use. But id buy another if it broke. I love folding it to put it away so much. And i love not worrying about the screen since its folded shut. I dont want the newer one because i like the smaller screen on the 4. Having a big screen when its closed seemes to defeat one of the big perks of folding it. Protecting the screen. You can get it refurbished for around $300
So is the red magic 10 pro the best phone atm
The LineageOS developers need to steal some features from lawnchair for trebuchet. Would be great if trebuchet had more customization.
>>18110 what's stopping your from just installing lawnchair and using that? do you lose out on stuff by switching off the stock launcher?
What can I do to get away from Google's spyware?
>>18113 Install iodéOS.
>>17781 I really like my iPhone 13 mini but I hate that when I'm charging it it'll say its 44% complete but at the top right it says something like 55% complete. Other than that its a flawless phone as soon as you remove a few hiccups to help preserve your battery life. But I still love my Motorola g9 plus.

>>17771 Not sure if I should ask here or the consumer advice thread. I've been torn about getting a new smartphone. My current one is a Xiaomi A2 I bought 7 or so years ago, it's serviceable, but it's showing signs of an imminent demise. I've wanted to get a higher end phone with a good camera so I could record myself painting minis and building yugioh decks. From a software perspective, can't be Chinese (apps cant be uninstalled, hyper OS has ads...) as I'll be scanning all my medical documents onto it as PDFs for easy sharing with doctors that always bother me that I don't bring a binder full of paper to them. I also want to play master duel on it. I really wanted an S24 Ultra, but can't find one at a decent price, S25 Ultra feels pointless and due to insane VAT these phones are very pricey. Don't want to risk a Tensor/Exynos chip either. Considered the S25 or S25+ as well, but unsure if I even want to spend that much. The S25+ is 1 224€ or 1100€ with a cashback offer. Could get a used S24Ultra for 910€, but would prefer something new with more than a years warranty at these prices. Maybe I'm missing some other obvious choices, but as of now Samsung feels like my only Android option. The S25 non-plus I'm worried about the battery and heating. It's also around 900€ new for the 256GB version with a discount. Have considered an iphone, but I need my tachiyomi and the like. I initially considered an ipad A16, but I went to the store and it seemed pretty meh and small next to the air and also non-laminated screen was kinda bad. (Maybe that was just a vibes thing next to the Air.) The air 13 felt too heavy to hold and also the price difference escalated to the flagship phone territory. At that point I might as well get a phone with a good camera. Any suggestions or opinions on the matter? Honestly I'm reluctant, somewhat trying to talk myself out of doing it. It's like 1.5 months of my wages, though I'm still a leech so whatever. The phone should last me at least 7 years as well.
>>18430 13 mini is an excellent phone. I really hope they come back to the minis every one in awhile.
