So comes the turn of the 20th century and what was the "othered/marginalized" group of the day:
WOMEN. Because apparently society improving to the point that women no longer needed to work long hours performing manual labor was now somehow "oppressive". And Lenin (Followed later by Hitler and MaoMao), looking to push through the Cultural Revolution in Russia anyway possible, took advantage of those greviances and elevated women and their "sex positive" messaging to be important aspects of the "New Russia":

Meanwhile, the sexual revolution never quite made the transition out of Russia because of the 19th amendment being passed around the same time took all the steam out of that matter.
Then we get period from the 30's to 60's and the new "othered/marginalized" group:
BLACKS. Except, the Socialists went full mask-off this go-round and lost almost immediately because of three things. First, they attempted to start this "Colored Revolution" during the middle of the Great Depression, and (As much as I hate FDR) it likely prevented a worse outcome as conditions were so bad that people didn't give a shit about other people's skin color and cultural problems because everyone was too busy trying to scrounge up some money to buy the daily bread. Second, when they tried this again in the 50's and 60's, the passage of the Civil Rights Act practically shut down nearly any and potential avenues for a "Colored Revolution" to take place as it solved almost every greviance a resonable person would have. So, now the Socialists have a problem. They cannot radicalize the workers because Capitalism works "too well" and gives them everything that they want, and they cannot radicalize the women and blacks because every developed nation recognizes and treats everyone equal as far as the law is concerned (To the point that countries amost force their inclusion). So who's the next group?
The fags, of course! Oh, wait, no one actually cares if you suck dick, and every single Communist regime executed the fags almost immediately after shooting the revolutionairies. And the average person just doesn't care if you're a homosexual so long as you stay away from the kids.
So we're about 150 years later and there's no more "othered/marginalized" groups that they can rely upon to bring about a schism in society. What to do next? Well, you raise an entire generation to have a Critical Consciousness anyway, and leave them to put the pieces together. Herbert Marcuse argued for radicalizing the intelligentsia, the modern education system was entirely designed by Paulo Freire, and you staffed the schools with radicals (For example, former Weather Underground members) intent upon destroying the modern social order. And the result of that happening for now three generations is coming intro fruition. We can no longer define what a woman is, your sex is whatever you list your pronouns to be on a social media blog, and nearly every single TV/movie/book/sport event/video game/comic parading across all of society just how much people want to have degenerate sex.
And the justification behind all this is that, "Well, you're just homophobic/transphobic otherwise there wouldn't be an issue."
Any place where people feel guilty or hushed about a matter, the Socialists are going to creep in and use that group to further their agenda of causing a cultural revolution by promising a future where "no disciminiation will exist" all the while leaving out how that will be accomplished either by (1) discminating against everyone equall any and all the time (
Not unlike Harrison Bergeron), or (2) everyone who disagrees is dead.
