I’ve been thinking about surviving in the isekai with a cheat: Mint — Produce any amount of currency you want with certain limitations re volume and can only be in a closed container, etc. So, you can magically fill a chest with gold, silver, copper, platinum, or anything that is considered “currency” by the Goddess. But you can’t fill any arbitrary space with it; there has to be a room or container that is shut. It’s a system that’s tuned by the Goddess so that it’s hard to use for any other purpose than to just be rich.
Sounds good? The problem: you are being physically transferred to the isekai. You are not being reincarnated or transmigrated (put into the body of a native). That means you are literal nobody in the isekai, and all your skills and EXP are starting from scratch. So….how would you survive? Could you even make it to a town in which to spend your currency? Even if you do, because you’re a nobody with nobody backing you up what’s stopping any random asshole from robbing or even killing you in the process? Would you have to strictly lay low, never showing off your wealth to anyone and surviving in a cheap inn until you figure out a game plan? Like, even if you wanted to buy a mansion in the city, how do you deal with the registration? How do you hire guards without them screwing you over when they realize there’s no family of big shots standing behind you? Isekai ALWAYS bypasses this by making the MC be reincarnated into a powerful or rich / famous family but if you’re going in as a nobody it seems like a major problem.
