Hey /co/, have you heard of Jellystone? It's a fun Hanna-Barbera show with lots of slapstick. So far only half of S1 has released, but there's lots of favorites, Top Cat, Yogi, Huckleberry Hound, Jabberjaw. If you miss slapstick I say give it a shot.
>It's a fun Hanna-Barbera show with lots of slapstick >Posts motionless pngs instead of webms to highlight said fun slapstick My expectations for you anon for low, and you still manage to disappoint me.

>>16356 >man has a mental breakdown at grocery store Oh, you cunt.
>>16356 I'm not normally one to accuse others of being shills, but this sure reads like a shill post. No actual discussion, very generic info, language that feels like an outsider that only knows how to use HR talk. Anyway this show looks ugly as fuck. And it's not like HB ever looked great. Fuck that.
>>16362 If I provided any information you still would come here just to bitch. >>16358 Yup, sure man, it's b8. >>16357 I'll be honest I'm a retard who can't into webms. To anyone who actually is interested in seeing for yourself, here's a MEGA, the showrunner is CH Greenblatt. https://mega.nz/folder/7NxjGSpY#LFXlr648drCpW0i2oiEtKQ
>>16363 >the showrunner is CH Greenblatt. Knew I recognized that style. His work is nice but I think it really works best with an original idea like Chowder or Harvey Beaks that allows for more creativity instead of an existing property.
>>16366 I wasn't a fan of Harvey Beaks, it didn't stand out to me personally, but I understood why people liked it, it was a genuine show in a pool of shows about cynicism and meta humor, and that alone stood out to people which I can respect. Chowder's a classic, I'm just happy to see someone who gives a crap working in animation again, and I understand what you're saying, the art style isn't too great but it grows on you, but I completely understand when an artstyle/animation style is off-putting enough to be a dealbreaker.
>>16356 >Half the cast now have a vagina I'm sure HB already had a good chunk of female characters, why did they have to sacrifice like half the cast?
>>16374 Most of the female characters in HB were boring cookie cutter teen girls, they wanted mainly animal characters for the cast, that's why they played heads or tails with what HB would be girls.
>swaps a bunch of classic characters for women >but it's a good show, guys! Fuck off. Call me when they make Josie and the Pussycats into men, then tell me that's any good.
>>16356 I don't wanna and HBO Max is not worth it,
>>16356 >If you miss slapstick I say give it a shot. What I want it a show about a ska band that accidentally gets involved in criminal conspiracies! Or a show about a group of female musicians trying to make it in the constantly evolving music industry. Or, a proper revival of Johnny Quest.
>>16410 >What I want it a show about a ska band that accidentally gets involved in criminal conspiracies! The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan? Shit. Their "Shoyu Weenie" song is a chart topper. But Pain's 'Jabberjaw, Running Under Water' is on their self titled album. Same with The Apples In Stereo's Signal In the Sky.
>>16385 >comes into thread to bitch and moan You niggers are the worst. >>16407 HBOmax isn't worth it, and a Mega was posted.
>>16421 Dude, as I said in other thread people here only bitch about cartoons, they don't watch them, if you want to have a decent cartoon discussion just go to hispa's cartoon and comics board, we actually have a really decent Jellystone thread right now and we are having a lot of fun we don't mind english speaker posters or just go literally anywhere else. Regarding the thread, yeah, it's a really fun show I hope we are going to get another season. >>16441 Please, just shut the fuck up already.
>>16448 Thanks for the invite Anon I might join you.
>>16448 And you spics boot licked the cripple when he took down 8ch.net, fucking kill yourselves. The fucking janny should ban your ass just for showing up.

What are your favorites jokes of the show? mine is vid related. >>16451 Sure, man I hope I'll se you there >>16462 Come on, dude, you are not even using the correct memes here (hispa's anon is red with a yellow ñ on the face). I thought we were fine or at least I've read a lot of positive comments about this place over there. This board is not bad, I just wish you complain less and watch more shows whether modern or not.
>>16376 >female characters in HB were boring cookie cutter teen girls They could also get a redesign and change of personality and leave the forgotten male ones intact.
>>16448 >Dude, as I said in other thread people here only bitch about cartoons, they don't watch them No, that's where you're wrong. I still watch cartoons. Just not on HBOmax, Netflix, Disney+, and whatever the hell else. If said cartoon was so grand, they'd have it on either Cartoon Network or it's more appropriate sister channel Boomerang. Since Yabba-Dabba Dinosaurs will be coming soon to the latter. But they won't be able lull sheep into signing up for a mediocre streaming service that way. My higher priorities deem it feasibly impossible to shell money at a streaming service at the moment. So more power to the persons which can.
>>16482 Or just make them their daughters.
>>16479 >you are not even using the correct memes here (hispa's anon is red with a yellow ñ on the face). First reaction image I pulled, there isn't much oc of red and orange anon interacting, but still you should kill yourself.
>>16363 >not knowing how to webm >especially with converting and compressing video websites that are easy to find Well, you being a retard does explain your shit taste.
(78.05 KB 1154x654 1628116261235.jpg)

>>16479 Honestly that's the best gag and it fucking killed me when I first saw it, especially Quacky's wrestling gimmick just being a kid, and made Magilla uncomfortable. >>16485 It's gonna be on CN soon, are you gonna watch it on CN? >Boomerang Boomerang is dead and you know it. Oh man, this thread's just a fucking shitshow, Anons coming into complain about cute grils and saying how they want a sausagefest in Jellystone, and not providing any other argument besides "It looks weird." or "There's too many girls." before you faggots shit yourself, no the characters aren't fucking trannies some twitnigger said that to gain clout.
>>16498 >unironically calling characters that were originally male "cute girls" Really doesn't help your case when they're just hand me downs meant to lazily check off progressive quotas.
>>16504 When you see a rule 63 thread do you throw this much of a temper tantrum?
>>16507 Not the same Anon, why would he its all fanwork while the show is made by the company that owns them.
>>16508 the point still applies
>>16507 Personal question anon, which one would you rather have? An original female character, or a gender swapped character?
>>16510 Original, how is this a question or at least look through the Hanna Barbara catalog for female characters that haven't seen the light of day in years. The Looney Tunes show back around 2011 did it right by making a completely new love interest for Daffy and completely re-engineering Lola while giving her a brand new design.
>>16509 No, it really doesn't.
Which male characters were turned into females? I don't care enough about the show to watch an episode or trailer and find it by myself, specially with such ugly art style.
>>16519 Jabberjaw was the only one I remember from watching the trailer.
>>16498 No. Because it's no more different than The New Looney Tunes. Boomerang is dead in the sense of what it was intended to be; when the channel was first launched. They should have just kept it as a channel for 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s era cartoons. But the low-attention-span-having-kids-of-today require colorful jingling keys and sparkling fidget spinners to sit still for about 2.5 seconds. >saying how they want a sausagefest in Jellystone, and not providing any other argument besides "It looks weird." or "There's too many girls." Gender and/or race swapping of characters is stupid and it's not done out of sincerity. It's done to say "Hey, all you suckers! Look how we [insert] swapped a popular character that we'll eventually place in the background!"
>>16498 thatsprettyhot
>>16537 > Boomerang is dead in the sense of what it was intended to be; when the channel was first launched. They should have just kept it as a channel for 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s era cartoons. But Boomerang always had better programming than Cartoon Network, and zero commercials. The cherry on top was when they added Pokemon.
they turned all of the characters into strong empowered females who don't need no man and can do everything men do with high heels on. fuck you and fuck this show. i dont even want to watch it.
(491.23 KB 1023x766 JOSEPH SMITH.png)

>>16658 >hanna barbera cartoons twerking
>>16658 >>16661 And there goes what little interest I had. Trash like the rest of cal-arts.
>>16658 Now that's what I call degeneracy
>>16520 >From Curly Howard with Rodney Dangerfield catchpharses <To a retarded Leslie Jones impersonator >>16658 >Dykes trying way too hard to impersonate the original actors from Top Cat Is like having currently updating your tumblr account can fuck up your sense of humor and makes spread your legs to get pegged.
>>16614 Boomerang wasn't intended for modern cartoons at the time. It makes more sense to air shows like Dexter, Two Stupid Dogs, The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries, and Cow & Chicken on it now. Than it did in the late 2000s, early to mid 2010s. >>16658 That's provocative, and if they can do that then Pepe Le Pew can "chase women."
>>16672 >The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries That was on Kids WB, which also had better shows than Cartoon Network.
(180.27 KB 250x288 8503464.PNG)

>>16479 >motion rigged Nigger why? How come bobby spongey is the only fucking American cartoon allowed to exist without motion tweening?
>>16678 True and very true. But the Boomerang On Demand service had it listed also.
(34.48 KB 397x520 gentlepersuasion.jpg)

>>16678 It had some better shows, but then it also had Johnny Test and Coconut Fred.
>>16672 >then Pepe Le Pew can "chase women." There was a scrapped scene for Space Jam 2 where he was getting a restriction notice and Petunia would take his place instead, but that was shitcanned thanks to corporations listening to triggered roasties. Dave Alvarez keeps getting the shit on the stick.
>>16701 >triggered roasties. Anon this isnt twitter.
(45.90 KB 700x684 75107501.jpg)

>>16701 You forgot to mention how an actress got her only role in the film cut because it involved slapping Pepe so hard that he would spin on his bar stool, and then she cried to the media about how it was a big moment for her to finally give him what he deserves only for the studio to remove the whole thing.
(468.48 KB 486x331 le pew.png)

>>16718 >she cried to the media about how it was a big moment for her to finally give him what he deserves only for the studio to remove the whole thing. <laughs in rapist skunk
>>16711 How else you want to mention it: Cheap Ramona Flowers' impersonators? >>16718 I feel bad for Dave Alvarez clearly an example of never meet your heroes up and close, stick to your drawing practices as a hobby and don't prioritize them as a main income.
>>16718 It's also amusing because Pepe Le Pew depicts french people as smelly rapists, and that part was never an issue.
>>16718 >You forgot to mention how an actress got her only role in the film cut because it involved slapping Pepe so hard that he would spin on his bar stool Oh, that is kind of sa... >then she cried to the media about how it was a big moment for her to finally give him what he deserves only for the studio to remove the whole thing. What a fucking double nigger faggot, Pepé Le Pew did nothing wrong.
(255.51 KB 1600x902 lui.jpg)

I ended up watching it but i felt nothing. everything was just drawn out for way too long or not funny in the slightest.
>>16939 Fair enough, I'm guessing you weren't a fan of Chowder.
>>16945 i enjoyed chowder but jellystone doesnt hold nearly as big of a light as that show. if jellystone had some more thought out jokes and voice actors that werent just reading from a piece of paper maybe i could enjoy it. also the voice dynamic between the main cast of chowder is what really sells that show, they really were having fun with it.
>>16946 I see what you mean, I can understand and respect why you're not fond of it, I'm sorry it wasn't as entertaining for you. I'm just glad we're seeing slapstick in Cartoons, Dialogue's great but I'm a sucker for idiots hitting each other.
>>16952 >I'm just glad we're seeing slapstick in Cartoons Bearing in mind the The wonderful world of mickey mouse and looney tunes cartoons are airing we are certainly having a slapstick resurgence.
>>16956 You know I've been meaning to watch The Mickey Mouse Shorts/the Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse.
(689.14 KB 400x300 LMFAO.webm)

>>16510 >asks question so simple, anyone can answer >around a half hour later, one anon answers preferring the former, while disagreeing with another anon a minute later >more than ten days later, no other anon has yet to answer, while defending gender swapping Really tells ya a whole lot, doesn't it?
(31.63 KB 500x281 doctorwhoremovekebab.jpg)

>>16945 >Chowder. >came out at the same time as Flapjack >Flapjack would be a better name for a cook and Chowder would have been a better name for a sailor >mfw I can't murder Cartoon Network creators without going to jail
>>16939 This. The pacing is all off and the humor is telegraphed and toothless. Having such utterly simple designs still rigged makes it even worse. I wanted to like this show because I enjoyed Chowder but this isn't inspired. It's like "IP usage: the show" without any idea what to do with the characters aside from sex-reassignment. Yogi being an incompetent doctor is sort of a character? But considering his talents he would be a much better thief.
It's literally the Looney Tune's Show but for Hanna Barbara. What's worse is that it doesn't receive any fanfare from anyone who isn't a fucking furry. Good lord the show's been out for what, about a month? There's so much fur faggotry there that it's astounding. I have yet to see any non furries talking about it in any way.
I don't give a fuck about Jabberjaw's fancy new vagina, but the jarring motion rigging, spastic meme references and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jThsTDl6SF0 made me dash my cursor away from the magnet link in a nanosecond. I'd rather watch that mapel town ripoff those SU interns are cooking up than this crap
>>17077 >mapel town ripoff What?
>>17077 >mapel town ripoff the fungies? or is it another show that i sort of remember but don't know the name of?
(80.00 KB 230x283 1327979715828.jpg)

It's essentially the lukewarm mixed child of chowder and harvey beaks, it's decent but it's too balanced. Not enough wacky, not enough comfy. It felt like greenblatt was too restricted by the execs into truly making it his show, or maybe the direction really is on purpose. Suffice to say, it's just ok
>>16658 >>16661 Almost as bad as seeing the PPG twerk.
>>17164 Thank you for actually providing something of substance to this shitshow of a thread.
>>17164 Imagine having unstrained unprotected nasty gay jew sex with whitesplatt
>>17164 >Limiting Greenblatt's sense of humor They got dykes as producers, so it checks out. >>40274 That's what it feels like when you work for TimeWarner.
