RIP CARTOON NETWORK STUDIOS Anonymous 10/12/2022 (Wed) 18:08:34 No. 29699
They've skinned the sheep and now WB animation is wearing its skin. And somehow Roosterteeth still lives Lets pay our respects and remember the good times.
S
>>29699 They shot themselves in the foot years ago. They're lucky they're surviving by being absorbed even if they trimmed the fat of the employees.
>>29699 They digged their own grave really.
(70.01 KB 451x527 calarts merchant.png)

>David Zaslav was born to a Polish and Ukrainian Jewish family in Brooklyn, New York.
>>29699 Things must be getting desperate over there.
>>29707 Let the jews kill the jews.
Did CN even make any good cartoons lately?
>>29709 >>29707 This probably Nigger pill. He been sperging over anti-ESG investors are popping up. Especially from Israel after WEF backstabbed them in the name of American woke culture.
>>29699 >And somehow Roosterteeth still lives That because David Zaslav investing more in anime for toonami. Rooster teeth has IPs to farm out to japan.
Hahahaha! Good! Let it all burn! If Cartoon Network are going to focus on Steven Universe 'Anti-Racist' PSAs lecturing white children, then they deserve their fates!
>>29699 Cartoon Network died a long time ago. Around the time they started pushing that live-action bunk. It was resuscitated. But the shows that were keeping it alive were canceled in favor of trash which killed it again.
>>29699 Wait were all the employees laid off or were they just assimilated into WB animation?
They're getting merged, so not exactly shutting down. Have they produced much of note over the last 5 years?
If they did Over the Garden Wall then that must have been their swan song because they haven't done jack shit of worth since then.
>>29715 sounds like an anime but i say that as someone whom hasn't watched a lot of anime in my own lifetime
(39.55 KB 1401x1080 Williams_Street_1st_Version.jpg)

How come Williams Street isn't merged with WB animation? Is CN just being downsized and becoming reliant upon European and Asian animation studios going forward?
>>29729 I don't think a single American CN show nowadays outside Teen Titans Go makes money.
Is the channel still going to be up? even if CN studios folds they still got the channel right? Not that it matters, I dont watch TV on the regular.
>>29703 >digged Literally kill yourself. Retard.
At what exact point did Cartoon Network fail?
>>29745 When Stu Snyder went full retard, the network hit the point of no return.
(1.16 MB 3335x1403 2007 the year it went to shit.jpg)

(212.36 KB 1477x1941 2007.jpg)

>>29745 Take a guess...
(33.57 KB 364x368 OH MY GOD A BOMB.jpg)

>>29750 >>29745 >>29746 You want to know what's worse? He only got the job because the previous CEO resigned after the Aqua Team Boston stunt, which saw dozens of post 2001 retards conditioned into thinking everything and everyone was a bomb believing that a fucking neon light was somehow a goddamned bomb.
>>29755 Some people praise Japan as the "last stand against Western degeneracy" but anime produce more trannies than any Western creation
>>29770 >Which do you choose anon: <Soap operas about men and women that look like men that spend their day ridiculing their readers >OR... <Simple stories about masculine men and beautiful women doing extraordinary things
>>29772 Real people are ugly anon
>>29756 That anime chart is a fucking shitpost that some retard added to the 2007 chart because he doesn't know any better, the bottom row consists of shit older than the top row.
>>29699 Oh shit. >>29703 Yeah it was pretty self inflicted. >>29751 I completely forgot about that idiocy.
>>29756 Lolicon has existed since way before 2007, what the fuck are you talking about? >>29758 Twatter tranies are not real people.
>>29745 Early 2010s.
>>29798 Indeed, transvestites and gay people has been a subject taken seriously on japanese animation basically since always, in contrast that's a very recent subject for american animation, they have taken the alphabet people as a joke since the 40s.
>>29804 Homosexuality doesn't exist on mainstream japanese stuff unless its comic relief or yuri, the vast majority have a negative view on alphabet people. Probably I'm wrong.
>>29699 >And somehow Roosterteeth still lives NOT FOR LONG! One of its key members has been sacked. https://archive.ph/Zx785
>>29805 >Homosexuality doesn't exist on mainstream japanese stuff Sailor Moon Card Captor Sakura The Rose of Versailles
>>29820 Yuri, even the most reactionary neanderthal its ok with women kissing.
>>29813 >One of its key members has been sacked. But Burnie and Joel left years ago.
>>29821 You said it doesn't exist, I proved that isn't the case, now shut up.
>>29699 Let it RIP
>>29699 Thanks for Frankie and Gwen. CN was at its best when it was cranking out hot red heads.
>>29804 Alphabet people are a joke. That's why they got Bill Nye the Science Guy to come up with that gender spectrum rubbish.
>>29805 The treatment of the topic is different, but it has been a thing.
>>29798 >Lolicon has existed since way before 2007, what the fuck are you talking about? Anon, he's just one of those wojack shitposters from /cow/ who kvetch about anime and lolishit. They raided the thread earlier. Frank just missed this one guy's post.
It's just a merger. Calling it dead is dumb since all this is that they're gonna combine the production teams. People got fired but that's just normal for mergers. Redundant people get let go
>>29844 >It's just a merger Its called skinning them and wearing their hide.
>>29825 >Homosexuality doesn't exist on mainstream japanese stuff unless its comic relief or yuri, >unless its comic relief or yuri, >unless its [...] yuri
>>29732 If they really want to cut expenses to bare minimum, I suspect that it will be around but rerunning old cartoons. Kind of how cartoon network started out with Warner Bros, MGM, and Hanna-Barbera cartoon reruns back in the early 90s. It's a cheap way to make some money.
Cartoon Network isn't shutting down you stupid shitlords! It was just fact-checked and debunked: https://archive.ph/dQdM8 So, it's shutting, but they're not admitting it, yet.
>>29861 Because greenlighting woke shit like back in the 70s is what kept WB to exist.
>>29846 Sailor Moon has literally trans people. Now shut up.
I fapped to Dexter's Laboratory Mom so much, my dick almost dropped off. And it wasn't even rule 34. It looks like some kind of merger so CN will still be around?
>>29892 They'll probably throw a few old 90s family sitcoms on it like they tried to do with Adult Swim.
(28.43 KB 540x405 Judgemental Grandpa.jpg)

>>29699 I was expecting fucking Viacom first, there's so much political correctness to keep their cattle retarded as possible. >>29716 >RoosterTeeth's higher-up outed as a rapist >The anime remake got a catastrophic premiere Do the fucking japanese have really low taste in quality? They're watching anything as long there's waifus with colorful and flashy frames?
(1.37 MB 264x264 1532921562934.gif)

>>29912 >Lolikikes were literal outcasts in the early days of the internet, but now they are being enabled more as people start to genuinely believe that child rapists "deserve a second chance". I don't believe in mercy for child rapists because they willingly rape children. When has a lolicon ever raped a child? It's funny how you point to the first picture in >>29909 when the reality is that the likes of Sony, the UN, and woke journalists and activists are actively campaigning to ban loli while aiding and abetting actual child predators. Just look at the recent cases of grooming at public schools. Interestingly enough, some people in the three aforementioned groups have been exposed as child predators or have expressed sexual interest in real children. If people wanna protect kids then they should turn their attention towards the criminals who are actually hurting them and not those with benign fetishes and kinks on the internet >That's not what tranime is about bucko. It's flashy non-thought-provoking bullshit full of autistic shitty waifu porn for japfaggots to fap to. You're cherry picking here. Anime is far cheaper to produce than the average western cartoon, which is why over three dozen are produced every season. Of course there's going to be a lot of bargain bin-tier anime in the form of generic romcoms and light novel adaptations, but by the same token there's a also few enjoyable shows. By your logic, since there's fewer western cartoons by comparison they're far worse because they have no regard for aesthetics or storytelling and exist only to convince children and manchildren alike that men are shit, there's more than two genders, and that there's absolutely no drawbacks to being non-heterosexual.
>>29908 Viacom is next. SJWs always find a way to bite the hand which caters to them. They turned on DC for trying to "straight-wash" Harley Quinn. >Do the fucking japanese have really low taste in quality? They're watching anything as long there's waifus with colorful and flashy frames? Such flashy frames did result in a large number of Japanese children to suffer seizure spells in the 90s, which caused a scare here in the US.
>>29916 Actually kinda glad flash frame scenes like that are no longer used. Not just because epileptic inducing but the rapid flash of frames drew away from the action.
Imageboards weren't create by weebs and anime was one of the cores of it? Anime disdain its not a literal recent zoomer meme thing?
>>29927 To be honest, I think Cartoon Network was better off without anime on it. There were a plethora of classic and modern cartoons they could have brought the rights to air instead of the Toonami crap.
>>29915 >Responding seriously to the "trannime" spammer You are such a fucking mongoloid. >>29927 Disdain of anime (or any japanese product in that regard) has been a thing since always man. I don't mind japanese animation, what I can't stand are otakus, they are like furries and since most of these places there are a lot of them they don't realise how annoying they are.
>>29931 >Hates furries >Goes to furry forum
>>29959 After a couple of years browsing imageboards I learned which don't have otakus or at least they are not annoying.
>>29927 The problem with anime is they're usually slice of life bullshit or a self insert interacting within a D&D world. Was K-On aimed at children? Can you tell the difference of any Isekai animes?
>>29984 Do you think anime was only invented a few years ago?
>>29984 >The problem with anime is they're usually slice of life bullshit or a self insert interacting within a D&D world Fuck off! Off hand I can name dozens of works that don't fall into either category, some of which are even recent in addition to being popular.
>>30000 Comics (or most western content in general) always have some degree of "ugliness", you will never see that on Japanese stuff, no matter how hardcore the content its.
>>29984 The problem with the japanese animation industry is that it has been taken hostage by their fans for several decades by now; the thing the consumer needs (what the fans are asking) is impossible to accomplish without relying on cheap production pipeline and alienating their entire workforce by paying them penies. Miyazaki noticed this back in the 80s but nobody gave a shit (not even himself). The lack of variety outside the otaku market (even there, I would argue) is a consequence of this; although you can see it in other industries. >>30000 >>30004 Please, shut the fuck up. >>29908 After a while I learned that otakus don't give a shit about their national industry or how their cartoons are produced as long as they get their "waifus with colorful and flashy frames". Asking them to think otherwise is the impossible.
(252.87 KB 800x1262 JAPAN_TBP_cover.jpg)

>>30004 Looks like shit to me. But, indeed, quit shilling MANGA.
>>29699 Does this mean anything for Tartovsky's next show after Primal? What was it? Something about unicorns?
>>29714 sure. but usually they were cancelled due to lack of interest or executive metaling. Guess who scoobydoo - classic scooby even bothered with the old styles but in modern production. will get canned due to lack of interest when that one show that got announced this year that everyone hated from the thumbnails alone. smearshilling unfortunately still works and will work for the next decade or so. Infinity Train - starts out good and slowly devolve because the concept of the show requires characters to have life changing issues but when they start using characters that have issues that arent too severe it starts to look stupid not serious anymore. also the show is very dark sometimes but the network made sure they didnt get away with too much. thundercats roar - despite how much flak this show generated and how hard people were looking for any reason to hate it, even indirectly, i still watched it and its decent. its very much a mix between Super Jail and Adventure time before sugar ruined it. Victor is a really good animator but this show failing is very much what he needed. he eventually pitched and was producing a non comedy show for CN call Driftwood but that got canned before we could even see what it was gonna be thanks to the merge OK KO - a shitpost nerd culture show jammed full of references and guess animators (pretty sure saru science and studio trigger did some stuff for it) there is very little reason to hate it other than its very very simplistic artstyle and the writing sometimes, and they gave a 'monster of the week' some kind of plot. Mao Mao Heroes of PureHeart - Canned due to executive metaling and in turn people lost interest. its a great show if you can get pass how annoying adorabat is Tom and Jerry Special Shorts - very well made mini eps made to promote the terrible cgi movie Jellystone! - if you liked chowder you will like this Final Space - show took a few seasons to find out what it wanted to be but got canned due to executive metaling. I honestly have nothing to compare it to other than imagine if rick and morty started to take itself seriously, turned down the humor and start making a show about the lingering demise of the universe through celestial beings that were imprisoned in dwarf stars. it has a cosmic tribal vibe which ive never seen before Batwheels - i went in expecting toddler shit but its not too bad. i only watched it because i very much enjoy the styling of the show, wb threw way too much money at what is basically a paw patrol clone Frankelda's Book of Spooks - imagine some random studio from mexico making a complete stopmotion show only to get zero marketing on top of wb shilling Santa inc through their not perfect smear shilling. the amount of people that know this exists are so low you cant even pull up subs and torrents for it despite being on hbo max for a few years. anyway the studio took their work to annecy and they won a bunch of awards and got praise from del toro.
>>30597 >Guess who scoobydoo Looking at the wikipedia page, I still can't tell if this is real or not https://scooby-doofanon.fandom.com/wiki/Guess_Who,_Scooby-Doo! >Adam Sandler >Kilala Reno, a Disney anime looking girl >Puffy Ami Yumi >The 3000 gang <Talk about some forgotten shows >the COVID monster >Spiderman >Dora the Explorer >Fairy Oddparents >John Boyega >Hanna Barbera I half expected seeing Sonic or Goku, adn that was just season 1, season 2 they apparently got a lot more Marvel and Nickelodean properties, as well as Tottally Spies, and Shantae??? This has to be fake, I have been trolled, 8/10.
Looking even more through it: PreCure, Michael Jackson, Sonic, Akko. I was gonna say that someone edited the wiki, but I think that was a wiki for scooby doo fanfiction or some shit like that. This should be the "real" one as well as this vid. https://scoobydoo.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Scooby-Doo_and_Guess_Who%3F_episodes
>>30597 Guess Who, Scooby Doo? - It would have been better if they had slasher film villains guest star each episode. But, no. We get frigging Steve Urkle and Zane Cook tier celebrities. OK KO - Oh there's plenty of reasons to hate this hyperactive pile of crap. Final Space - Adult Swim not CN per say.
>>30599 Fuck, I didn't even realize this show came out and it's already been through two seasons. I gotta check this out.
>>30600 >We get frigging Steve Urkle and Zane Cook tier celebrities. Majority of the celebrities listed I've never heard of. Who's Halsey, Kenan Thompson, Joey Chestnut, Sandy Duncan, and Sean Astin?
>>30617 >Sean Astin He was Sam in Peter Jackson's LotR movies, the rest I don't know.
>>30617 Kenan Thompson is one of the original cast members from Nick's All That. He was also in the movie Heavyweights and the well known Good Burger film. Now he's a cast member on SNL.
>>30630 To be fair to Kenan Thompson, he has been on SNL for nearly 20 years, meaning he was on for a long time when it was only kind of shitty, and not only in the current era, which is somehow a million times shittier than every other era. Sean Astin was in Lord of the Rings and Rudy. Sandy Duncan is old and I'm surprised wasn't on the original New Scooby Doo Movies. The others, I have no idea. Urkel, though, that's great.
>>30598 >scooby-doo fanon(fan canonn) anon...

>>29861 Shameless bump, just to remind everyone how well that article aged.
>>39777 >that bullet
>>39784 That's 65% more bullet, per bullet!
Apparently they found someone dumb enough to buy/finish their season. No real info but i do hope they pull out before financially ruining themselves.

>>39793 >Scream if you love buck breaking >>39794 You mean RoosterTeeth? Someone fucking bought their leftovers?
>>39845 Nothing official so far, but with Warner losing money this quarter then they might as well sell it for a dollar.
RIP The website finally died, its only a matter of time before it finally folds over.
>>40832 Crazy how killing your animations studios in lieu of producing cartoons for grown men with fetishes and a peter pan complex. I want my animators to be sex offenders and womanizers thank you very much.
>>40833 They're still sex offenders and womanizers. Now they're just holier than thou about it.
>>40832 And it seems their franchises that are worth something are being put for rent or something like that, just to see if Amazon is interested to fund their leftwing slop: https://invidious.nerdvpn.de/watch?v=hfWSKyCF-HQ
