I think the funniest part about this episode is that the country singer grows to overcome racism through his own racism, only for Ruckus to get mad about it until they can find another target of ridicule (Mexicans). You can't have shit like that in modern TV anymore. Not even South Park gets to be that edgy and still bring home some sort of moral lesson.

>Despite y'know Elmer Fudd & Yosemite Sam's whole gimmicks revolve around using guns
Not necessarily, Elmer Fudd is a hunter and Yosemite Sam has a short temper, that's their gimmicks. For proof of that, the Bugs Bunny Lost in Time game has the former be a prehistoric hunter and the latter a privateer who only uses cannons.
It's the whole "we changed it to fit modern audiences" angle that fucking sucks. I don't think even catholic soccer moms from the 90s gave a shit about cartoon guns blowing up in some schmuck's face.

They keep rebooting franchises to:
1) Prevent the IP from being forgotten;
2) Renew copyrights or jerrymander researches (see how Yidnsdey keeps making bad 3D adaptations of popular old movies, they really don't want you to go look at their older stuff if it has any chance of going in the public domain);
3) Experiment with new formats with shows that most people will give very little shit about.
>Was the DuckTales reboot any good?
There is only ONE interesting plot thread, that being Darkwing Duck being two separate people - a washed up actor who plays a campy Adam West fictional-in-universe version of the character and a super fan of the Darkwing Duck show who grows to emulate the fictional character by getting his own lair and acting a lot like OG DD. There's even a rather cool part where the washed up actor becomes increasingly deranged from not being on the spotlight anymore and seeing his own creation stolen from him by a younger lad which eventually will turn him into Nega-Duck from the OG series, but since there weren't enough girlbosses or dark feathered characters they completely abandoned that plot.
Modern cartoons were a mistake. There's a reason people only watch anime or stuff geared towards extremely young kids.
