The first 5 books are about some chosen dragons trying to stop a world war Books 6 to 10 are about some highschool students trying to stop dragon hitler Books 11 to 15 are about some bug dragons or some shit. Haven't read them though The graphic novels do a bad job at adapting the books by toning down the violence (the books are surprisingly gruesome sometimes) and leave out certain parts
