>If CN had any brains working for them, they would have had Mezco or NECCA make their action figures
No, CN is a channel for
kids and again the reason they now gear towards girls and toddlers is because those groups still buy toys.
As for adult collector toys based on their older franchises, they should let multitype of companies get the license like how ATLA got three different companies making action figures which is quite amazing.
>Mezco
Half-assed action dolls aren't my cup of tea and they completely screwed up that Darkseid.
>NECA
Questionable durability.
>MAFEX and S.H. Figuarts
I like them more. MAFEX does suffer from QC issues sadly, although their stylized/cartoon figures are pretty much spot on. S.H. Figuarts cost less and they're more experimental and innovative with their articulation, but that's only true for 3DPD and male characters from Dragon Ball.
Soul of Chokogin of Dexter's Lab, PPG and MLAATR
I know it's from Nickelodeon would be perfect, but probably never ever.
>Ben Ten
Despite the new cartoon looking like shit, the new Playmates figures are overall great; they have much better articulation then the outdated 5 PoA/single hinge joints the Bandai figures had. Heck, Playmates gave most characters more articulation than non-turtles characters in TMNT.
>Fuck Mattel and TTG
Definitely, also add Hasbro.
As for current attempts for action figures+action cartoon goes today:
Alter Nation which is new toyline by a new toy company called Panda Mony that does seem to struggle which is very unfortunate. The actual cartoon is crappy flash on youtube and only up to 6 episodes so far and it's been a year. It also has comic book which seems to be decent, haven't read it, but I did enjoy the mini comics I got with the figures I own. The toys are excellent with each character being a complete new mold with its own unique gimmick/s and accessories. The articulation is lacking, but not awful and the gimmicks are worth it.
Final Faction (behind the 10$ gummy Leia) by Dollar Tree. The cartoon is crappy CGI on youtube (only one episode so far) as you can imagine from Dollar Tree, the figures themselves while not being the greatest to say the least (minimal slightly sloppy paint jobs on 5 PoA ) for their value they're quite great. You get a figure with weapons/big accessory/big figure/weapons pack for 1$, compare that to all the overpriced Reactionby Super7/Hasbro SW 5 PoA shit that cost like 10$-15$ and it's quite mind blowing! You can get weapons packs and easily army build as those figures are very cheap and have great distribution.
Heroes of Goo Jit Zoo by Moose Toys, another shitty flash cartoon on youtube with like 4 episodes. Technically these are stretch figures, but I guess they can still count. The toys are great. They also got licenseshit from both big two, yet no Elongated Man, Plastic Man and Mr. Fantastic
FUCK THIS GAY EARTH .
Honorable mentions: Grossery Gang went from blind bag crap to modern Food Fighters and had something like 35 crappy flash cartoon episodes on youtube and mini movies. The figures were neat, but sadly the line got canceled.
Strech Armstrong cartoon look nice though I haven't watch it, but Hasbro being pieces of shit as usual made crappy preschool toys which is odd since the cartoon seems to be aimed at older kids.
