/sthg/ - Sonic The Hedgehog General Anonymous 06/20/2022 (Mon) 00:04:22 No. 25124
Welcome to the Sonic General! >>25124 >Sonic Origins releasing on June 23 What does /fast/ think of Origins so far and are any of you getting it when it releases? Also damn Sonic's birthday is this Thursday already.
>>25127 also relevant
>>25127 >What does /fast/ think of Origins so far It's shit. Gameplay changes for casuals (New content is exclusive to this mode), content changes for progressive purposes (No more MJ OST), and nothing new that wasn't already available on the GC/PS2 releases of Mega and Gems Collection. >and are any of you getting it when it releases? Nope!

>>23855 I decided to go back and try to play Unleashed on RPCS3 again to see if the new processor and software made a difference. It does run a lot smoother and it's almost ready for a playthrough but not quite there yet. To be honest I was expecting a bigger speedup everything considered. I'm gonna try to read up and fiddle with it to see if I can make it perform better and finally give the game a play. I probably should also try for myself some of the Xbox emulators which I've read perform much better, however apparently they're a lot more unstable compared to RPCS3 and I've already had RPCS3 crash on me several times while testing. Something that I don't remember from when I last tried this is how hard the game uses the controller vibration, though it feels pretty good.

>>25120 A new episode of this stuff dropped today, focused on the Sonic 1 remaster. These turned out rather gay.
>>25134 >not even 5 seconds in I thought we were free...
>>25127 As much as I wanted the taxman versions of 1 and 2 on PC, as well as a similar version of Sonic 3&K, they fucked up a lot of things about this. Tying the technical improvements with outright gameplay changes is retarded, Jun somehow fucked up several of the beta music tracks in his touch-ups, and they're pulling this day-one dlc bullshit where half the "content' in the dlc is tiny menu features that were obviously cut from the game to be sold separately. >>25129 >content changes for progressive purposes Don't be an idiot. The music changes are due to legal bullshit, same reason the original 1997 PC port had the exact same changes, and the same reason S3&K has only been since sold as emulated roms until now.
>>25137 >Jun somehow fucked up several of the beta music tracks in his touch-ups Can you elaborate? I haven't heard anything about that yet.
>>25138 There's comparisons between the beta and Origins versions from Sonic Stadium on youtube. Some tracks made it mostly fine, but others like this one sound completely butchered.

Ian gave an interview to IGN about Frontiers' story. https://archive.is/GFNDp >It’s been a very different experience to be sure. With the other tie-in media, I’m the one to pitch the story, the characters, the themes, etc. With Sonic Frontiers, SEGA provided the story, backstory, plot beats, usable characters, and so on. So it was a very different approach to telling a Sonic story than what I’m used to. Why is it that the bad rumors always turn out true? >Sonic, Tails and Amy embark for the Starfall Islands to investigate the disappearance of the Chaos Emeralds. Things take a turn for the dramatic immediately, and Sonic is left alone with a lot of questions. The story is his journey to uncover all the mysteries of the islands, rescue his friends, and discover how everything ties together. >For veteran players, I hope they enjoy the individual character arcs and the threads I tried to weave between Sonic Frontiers and the rest of the Sonic Series. God damn, this has to be the shortest interview I remember. Hopefully he's still able to deliver something at least consistent. >>25139 Oh, I guess this comes from the game itself right? I didn't think it could have already been out in some territories, pretty cool. The more I listen to that video the more annoyed I get. I don't think the Origins version is terrible but it's very underwhelming compared to the beta tune. The instruments sound so wrong, and in turn the beta version really does feel like it'd be right at home in Sonic 3 which being the first time I listen to it feels awesome because it's like I got a new part of Sonic 3 to enjoy. Either way, Carnival Night sounds so awkward without the cheesy carnival music playing. I hated it when I played the game but it just stuck to me, it's so iconic now. I've kind of been curious for some time about Jun's performance when composing for chips because more often than not I feel his chiptuines are really underwhelming. What's Jun's most popular chiptune?

Also happy birthday blue rat, you're pretty cool.
>>25137 >The music changes are due to legal bullshit, same reason the original 1997 PC port had the exact same changes <One possible explanation for this is that the tracks featured sampled sound effects not supported by the MIDI standard, and some sound cards during this time were not capable of playing these alongside the standard MIDI instruments. https://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_%26_Knuckles_Collection#Differences_from_console_version <It is possible that the compositions in the PC/Prototype were what was originally planned before Michael Jackson's team was introduced, and only the development team working on the Sega Mega Drive version got the compositions produced by Michael Jackson's music team. https://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_the_Hedgehog_3/Development/Music#Current_issues
>>25140 >What's Jun's most popular chiptune? Hard to say. If we go strictly on songs that were liked as a chiptune, it would be something from Sonic 3 & Knuckles or 3D Blast
>>25136 I have no idea. Even the readme says there are supposed to be over 200 issues uploaded. I guess anon died while he was uploading the files. This reminds me I need to update the IDW archive. I keep forgetting. >>25143 Oh wow, I didn't know Jun has been with the series for that long!

Are you gonna do something special for Sonic's birthday /fast/? Play some games (or all of them) or listen to an OST perhaps? Maybe draw something nice?
>>25146 >special I hadn't really planned on anything but I guess now would be a good time to play the PSP Rivals games and the 8bit games <spoiler I guess a few sketches later wouldn't hurt
I just realized that /fast/ has a new general thread, so my post from the last one will likely be ignored. As I was saying, what about the Fleetway Sonic Archive? the readme says it has over 200 issues but only the first 55 issues were there. What happened?

I haven't been following Origins' release too much but it seems people have been having issues and Stealth made some posts to shed some light on the issue. It's an interesting read for sure and now I'm really fucking curious about what went on. Honestly the idea of them doing some part of the work and then handing it to another team to integrate it all into a game sounds stupid in the first place. https://archive.is/2xvHo

It adds nothing to the stories outside of virtue signalling to a small and mentally deranged demographic that can't live without every production on earth pandering to their fetish and I would rather have none of it, specially in kids properties.

Now that Origins has released people have been digging through its files and it seems Sonic Team used resources shared with Frontiers for stuff related to the menus and UI but they've also left artifacts from other parts of Frontiers inside like shaders from the cyberspace levels and strings from other unannounced features. What the fuck is a Kodama?
>>25158 >It adds nothing to the stories outside of virtue signalling to a small and mentally deranged demographic that can't live without every production on earth pandering to their fetish So furries, weebs/otaku or Archie fans in general What you're describing is the is a regular imageboard user if anything, but I've seen worse anons here and elsewhere You're basically doing the same thing on a /fast/ board; the only positive is there no fetishes in your posts that you're so worried about. Tangle liking Whisper is no different than Amy liking Sonic. But the subject of, if anything sexual or related should be in sonic at all, is a whole other subject, the devs wanted to make Madonna and then later they went to make rouge and that has more fetish then two girls being in love by itself, so at what point do the devs stop. Because that's tame compare to other games or vn in japan, and the devs even made fun of other fetish-full games at the time (like VN) and it mixing with sonic Because if you want no fetishes at all oh boy, artists can be on the same level or worse.

The cyberspace levels got officially unveiled today in some nintendo event and shortly after a barrage of articles followed. Does the music in the trailer sound familiar or is it new? I fucking dig it a lot. There were rumors some old zones would be returning in Frontiers, but at this point Sonic Team must be memeing putting GHZ again into this. From the demo they showcased it seems Sky Sanctuary might be returning too. The GHZ level looks linear as all fuck, unless they got really clever there's no way to even put an alternate path there, though I guess GHZ in Generations was also not super great given how linear it was. The other level seems to have more paths you can take, but it rubs me the wrong way that you're stuck to the highway. I hope they got creative like with Speed Highway. From the not-Sky Sanctuary level (see >>25101) it seems a similar approach to level design was followed. The lack of great looking setpieces really is a downgrade compared to Unleashed and even Colors, and even if this is done to better fit the story of the game it's just inferior and looks sterile. <faginformer https://archive.is/xOXoy >Completing a Cyber Space level rewards Vault Keys used to unlock new areas throughout Starfall Islands. >This particular Cyber Space stage didn’t offer anything 3D Sonic veterans haven’t seen before. >Still, Frontiers’ improved controls meant that it at least played a bit better than the Hedgehog’s recent outings Kind of makes sense it wouldn't offer much anything new considering it's probably one of the first stages. Having said that it's always wise to keep expectations low. <polygon https://archive.is/68XYv >The demo began with Sonic waking up in a lush green field and being informed by a disembodied voice that he’d successfully escaped Cyber Space. This seemed to be early in the game, after what appeared to be an introductory level that resembled a traditional Sonic course. >(The demo was confusing in many ways, including featuring the wrong button prompts for the controller I was given, and being presented in a weirdly low resolution and in windowed format. The booth attendants at the preview event were unable to provide any supplemental information or context about any aspect of the game, so please bear with me through some guesswork.) lol >Sometimes, doing it [the cyloop] creates a burst of gold rings, though it was never clear in the demo when this would or would not work. I don't remember this from before. >I played through three different Cyber Space levels. Two were 3D courses in which the camera raced behind Sonic, similar to the Sonic Adventure games. In the third, the camera spun around to Sonic’s side, turning the 3D course into a side-scrolling 2D level à la classic Sonic the Hedgehog >Granted, Sonic has no roll ability in this game (that we know of, at least), but these levels still felt satisfying and fun to play. wat

>>25171 Together with the video there was a Sega press release or something with more information, including details about the story, characters, enemies, and so on. https://archive.is/deld5 >Sonic’s new journey begins when him and his friends – Amy and Tails – head to the Starfall Islands in search of Chaos Emeralds. As they approach the islands, sudden trouble hits their plane, and they are sucked into a dimensional portal. Sonic then finds himself separated from his friends and awakens in a strange, digital world – Cyber Space. In terms of the story opening it seems they did pretty much the same thing they did for Lost World. >He miraculously escapes Cyber Space and arrives on Kronos Island, one of the Starfall Islands, full of ancient ruins where strange enemies roam. It is then up to Sonic to explore the Starfall Islands, find his lost friends and uncover the mysteries around him. >The combat in Sonic Frontiers will require players to use various button controls to fight strategically. The game throws an incentive to combine moves in combos, such as dodges, parries, and counters, to deal with enemies during the journey. The combat can be further expanded by unlocking new moves and combos via the Skill Tree. >For players that want more straightforward gameplay, the game will have an Auto Mode where various attack combos can be executed with a single button They really are terrified of retarded players huh. >sage Jesus the sloth got into the god damn next Sonic game. Awkward that after phasing out literally every human presence in the series outside of Eggman they went for what seems to be a human girl. She looks like she could be Infinite's girlfriend or something.
>>25172 >Infinite's girlfriend or something. Too young for that, there's a better chance she would've been his daughter or a part of the Jackal Squad at one point Maybe there finally going to do something with the phantom ruby for once

Since June is over IGN did a last video answering people's questions about their experience with Frontiers. https://yewtu.be/watch?v=B1Ss6ZZQoEM tl;dr: >4 cyberspace levels confirmed so far: GHZ (which is the very first thing you play in the game), the highway one, Chemical Plant, and Sky Sanctuary >the cyberspace levels on the demo were short, like 2 minutes each on the first try >there are 5 'goals' for each level and each goal will give you a vault key which is used to unlock Chaos Emeralds >no wisps SO FAR lol >some cyberspace levels are entirely 2D >each time you get hit you lose 40 rings >at 400 rings you can activate an even bigger boost >there's a drop dash, but no rolling has been revealed so far Given the amount of collectibles and how they're kind of stacked on top of each other to unlock something it makes me feel the game designers had extensive training or experience in designing mobile games which is where you see this kind of thing which they do so that they can provide an option for you to skip the whole thing for real money. It's not necessarily bad in this case because you unlock cool stuff and it's probably not designed to jew you but it gives off that kind of feeling that it's really psychologically engineered in some way in contrast with old games that felt a lot more natural. I really hope the cyberspace levels get better later in the game too, they aren't sound too hot right now.
>>25175 >Yes, I was just shitposting anon. Then wow, i didn't know Infinite wasn't only a hot topic consumer but also a Friday Night Funkin' fan

A new episode of Speed Strats is out and man just when I thought it couldn't get worse it does. What does /fast/ think of Sonic CD? Am I the only one that got frustrated and quit near the beginning?
>>25202 It's alright, the soundtrack is fantastic (both of them), but I find it to be on the lower end of the good Sonic games. The time travel mechanic is annoyingly executed, there's absolutely no point to traveling to the future except just to see it (and you have my sympathy if you want to see the good future without collecting the time stones), most of the zones are just enhanced repeats of Sonic 1's zones, the level design can get real annoying at times, and many of the bosses are not great. Seriously, what kind of fucking final boss is the panel wheel of doom? Could they not think of anything better? The crusher in Sonic 1 was more intimidating.
>>25203 >The crusher in Sonic 1 was more intimidating I've never actually given it much thought but now that I think about it, as a final boss the crusher is pretty underwhelming don't you think?
>>25202 >what does /fast/ think of Sonic CD I tried CD ages ago and played it like a traditional classic game and recall stopping shortly after the Metal Sonic race. I want to play it again to give it a fair shake but my memory of it seems to be that it was neither a positive or negative experience

How come everyone who draws Eggma'am always draws her like a young anime woman? Eggman is canonically a 60 year old fat fuck. It makes more sense for Eggma'am to look like an old crazy cat lady and/or a jaded lunch lady with a sadistic streak. I actually really like the common Eggma'am design, it just doesn't fit the Eggman role.
>>25221 I imagine it's because it's more pleasing and interesting than the alternative, even if less fitting. I don't think rule64 eggman ever crossed my mind honestly, what made you want to look into rule64 eggman designs?

I know they're trying to make something new for a newer generation, but i'm not sure if kids would be into generic pop music they can get from any north american radio compared to the non-crush 40 bands like bowling for soup or anyone else in the sonic 06 soundtrack, even the more poppier "reach for the stars" is more unique
>>25310 And they just released the main theme song! Man I'm so mixed on this song! I hate the effects on the vocals, I would much rather have something less stylized and produced but more realistic like in the regular vocal songs. Tuning effects are so overused that they sound gross. I love the part after the introduction when it starts going hard, specially around the 1 minute mark, but I hate how later there's a shift to give the vocals the lead and the music gets interrupted all the time by the vocal pauses, it's really annoying! Get a melody going and let it flow god dammit. I really wish they would have just continued with what they had going before 1:10, it would have been amazing. But yeah, it's not terrible or anything, it's just that it was so close to being so much better.

Some footage of the fishing minigame in Frontiers. It seems pretty mindless and that animation when a fish is caught is all sorts of awkward. There are a lot of animation related things which seem really unpolished in this game. Additionally this just reinforces the idea that this game was conceived by people that have been indoctrinated into mobile game development, they just can't stop introducing mechanics which give you some sort of token or currency which then you can juggle around to get some other type of token which then you can exchange for prizes. It's always the same cookie cutter pattern and the only things missing so far are the prize roulette and the screen to get tokens for real money.

Iizuka and Kishimoto were interviewed in TGS and they revealed some interesting bits about the Frontiers and its development. https://archive.is/f2wz7 >originally the cyloop could only interact with terrain and allowed Sonic to cut grass, but this was met with internal criticism because of the appearance of Sonic damaging the environment >The "Sonic" series is being playtested in North America, and in our usual project, we've been doing two tests in alpha and beta to get feedback. Since "Sonic Frontier" was a five-year project, we conducted tests at a pace of about once every three to four months. >First, we created a 3D space called the world map where you can play in the open zone. After that, I got some pretty harsh feedback . I've been told a lot of things like "I'm bored from where I am to my destination , " "Nothing happens," and "Only grasslands ." >"Cyberspace" , where you can enjoy the conventional Sonic-like time attack, was well received from the beginning. That's because it's the base system for Sonic that we've cultivated over the years. However, when I returned to the open zone, I wondered, "What can I do here?" It was playtested into what it is today, so it was almost empty at first. >Our big goal was to make Sonic Team shine once more in the world. For that reason, it was necessary to optimize Ian's scenario for Japan . So I rewrote all the lines for Japan. We have tuned the context of words for Japanese people. For example, if you watch with Japanese subtitles and English audio, the dialogue will be completely different. I think this has been the most underwhelming pre release period for a Sonic game in a long time, it was for the most part really quiet and shy with nothing out of the ordinary whereas for pretty much every other game in the last 10+ years there were panels or events. Something I've noticed is that they keep trying to make the story justify the inclusion of so much content from previous games and it just feels really insincere given the games' history, it just feels like a cover to hide the lack of talent or resources to create something new, original, and on par with what they've been reusing for the past decade. A new Sonic Prime trailer got released together with a release date of December 15th. What do you fags think about it? Maybe it's just because I'm sleep deprived but it just doesn't catch my attention. I guess it explains the premise of the story but it just doesn't really do anything to get across why this is interesting or I should care. Some of the models and expressions look great at times, but other times they just look pretty bad. It's confusing. They also released some character renders and you can kind of see a pattern where some of them look squished down or stretched horizontally, most notably on Sonic and Rouge. Rouge kind of looks like she has downs syndrome. I hate the white circles on Amy's dress at the shoulders, they're so distracting.

The "Rhino Deluxe Edition" of The Wizard of Oz soundtrack consists of 83 "tracks". <But, how, exactly, does the film have 83 "tracks" when it's 101 minutes long? Well, they consider things like the Lolipop Guild song, the coroner song, the mayor's proclamation, both the original and reprise of "Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead", and rest of the other "songs" from that 6 minute segment ALL as separate "tracks". <Well, what about the "6 hours and 40 minutes"? All things being equal, that equates to each song being 2 minutes and 40 seconds long. But, who knows what's actually happening during those segments. Think of it like "Speak To Me" on Dark Side of the Moon. Nothing happens until the final 30 seconds on the song, and, even then, it's just a bunch of random noises that lead into the next track, "Breath". In the case of the Sonic Frontiers OST, who knows how they have everything arranged.

I'm glad Sonic Frontiers is revisiting old Sonic Lore this time. I have always wanted the Knuckles Tribe Lore to be expanded on, as well as Knuckle's origins. New trailer for Frontiers! As a promotion video I think it does a great fucking job. It looks cool and beautiful, the music is great, and it shows some fun stuff. I really missed this kind of trailers because it means we can get the now sadly rather rare Marza CGIs which are gorgeous. For some reason this kind of trailer felt completely missing from the promotion of Frontiers when usually there were a couple of them for the previous games. But like they usually do with CGI trailers there's no way the game is as fun as this shows, they just link the beautifulness of the CGI and the arbitrary actions you can do in them without being constrained to gameplay to the actual gameplay and in game renders which are not as fun or great so that they can show something that you think is good and get a good feeling for it when it doesn't actually describe the product you're getting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4Mnp5A5iG4 https://yewtu.be/watch?v=t4Mnp5A5iG4

I randomly stumbled upon this fangame that I used to be excited for years ago and then forgot completely about because there was basically no progress. Now I find they added Shadow and his stages are focused on combat. Do you think there's a way to implement combat in Sonic games in a way that's fun? When thinking about combat the first thing that comes to mind is Heroes and that was awful, but even if you managed to make it better it would still be rather antagonistic to the fast platforming and stage design, and the alternative is doing it the way they've been doing it where it's inconsequential or used just for homing attack platforming so there isn't actually any combat.
>>25516 >Do you think there's a way to implement combat in Sonic games in a way that's fun? Yes, but as you said, the problem is the designer finding a balance between Sonic's primary gameplay, combat, and getting the player to perform said combat. Have weak combat mechanics and it can range from the player avoiding fighting altogether, to a mild annoyance when forced to perform to continue (Heroes, Rush, etc). Have great combat mechanics, and it could either feel like a natural extension to the existing gameplay or a DMC-lite game in a Sonic world controlling Sonic (Frontiers comes to mind for both). Unfortunately, the best answer is also the one that can feel the most pointless to the average player and the designer themselves if the game is designed to let the player go unhindered. An advanced player will use whatever the game gives them if it's fun and effective. A casual will use the first response that comes to mind a.k.a mash a button and hope it just werks. So can it be done? Yes, but as the designer you'd either have to force people to use the combat or let them do as they wish even if they never touch the mechanics you spent planning and testing for a fun game

SGB and Mecha Madness Two fan games that both had combat as a major factoring line with mid to decent results(the former more well known and using option B) but both ended up canned or banned like most fan games. SGB's creator went full tism and got his game and himself Banned from SAGE and older builds don't usually work on Win10 and Mecha Madness's creator lost his code so he scrapped it, restarted in 3D, gave up less than about 2 builds in(neither with the combat or even a quarter of the features) and then he made Sonic Smackdown and later dropped sonic for his own 2D Unreal engine(?) fighter. Main point being: It can be done but the results for mixing it with 2D and the base format of just reaching a goal usually makes it useless unless you gear the gameplay to give combat an actual purpose past just being a way to beat/get past an enemy. Frontiers pretty much got the idea but even it kinda abides by the same mindset since it blocks out the linear race to the goal stages in cyber space. Sonic Gather Battle was as close as it was gonna get to mixing the two things but even then it also did the usual beat em up troupe of 'block off progression at parts of a stage by walling off the player and making them fight a wave or set of enemies in teh area before allowed to progress.

>>25540 http://www.mediafire.com/file/pya2f14cc5r4325/MechaMadnessBaseEngine.rar/file It was quite literally 1 level, not super long either. The game also won't tell you but you have the agility to swap elements to do other moves and have some unique movement abilities https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCYzXVHZdQE AT one point there was another build with a different level but I have no clue where that one is and am sure it's download is pretty much lost to time
>>25540 And before you say >>25541 isn't what you were asking for, understand that the image of that beat em up isn't a project or mock up. Just some artist who thought it would be a cool idea for a game but stated upfront no interest in getting a team or learning how to code to get it into the realm of possibility
>>25539 Looking at your image, it wouldn't be too hard to make our own beat em up with that art style.

Sega just announced the next Sonic game, Sonic Superstars. https://nitter.net/sonic_hedgehog/status/1666891505594933248 It's a classic Sonic game which seems to be similar in appearance to Generations' classic stages. I like the detailed textures that Generations had but overall it makes me feel there's no art direction. I'm not sure how to put it, everything just feels like a mishmash of colors that don't match or have a pattern like you'd normally have in good art. Do you think there's a chance they learned who their target audience is and made the physics right this time?
This fucker is so high up his own ass and pretended he did nothing wrong and thinks he can get away with this shit Scott free and worse he's made up shit that didn't happen

Another trip around the sun and it's Sonic's birthday again, so say something nice about him. I think there was some Sonic news a few days ago during a Nintendo direct and they're hosting another stream today, but I'm so deep in shit I haven't been able to keep up with any of it. >>25557 >RIP US Sonic comics #2 I have mixed feelings about that. On the one hand I've enjoyed reading it but on the other it feels like it lost direction completely after the metal virus arc. Also they keep introducing too many OCs but they aren't the OCs that everyone wants too see from Archie or Fleetway or the cartoons, or the OVA or whatever because Pender's malicious autism and SEGA's mandates won't let those OCs be anymore so what's the point?

The metal virus saga was boring and it only may have seemed like better direction because of the sheer length of it. >>25608 I enjoyed playing Gens but I've overplayed it so much that I don't want to even go near it anymore. New game has just been announced and not a single peep here. Where tf are you niggers at???
>>25774 >New game Isn't it more like a map pack than a new game? Either way, I'm gonna be pretty fucking upset if they give him the characterization he has in IDW. >Where tf are you niggers at??? I got bored of being unable to post and contribute properly.
>>25775 >I'm gonna be pretty fucking upset if they give him the characterization he has in IDW. You mean none at all? Shadow's barely appeared in that comic. There just aren't enough pages to allow him any time. If Shadow had a page or two here or there, that would be a page that couldn't be spent on Tangle or Whisper or Belle or Lanolin, and we couldn't have that now, could we? Could we?! Shadow's fine in the comic. He just doesn't do shit. In fact, that makes him better than other characters, like Sonic, who do appear enough to have their characterizations messed up.
>>25774 The chans are dying.
>>25777 Nigger, he still has a personality and characterization and it sucks. The previous chao stuff and animations in general were pretty good, so hopefully this is nice too. >justice league x sonic crossover comics >ian flynn writing >longer term crossover extending into 2026 I feels this cannot possibly be good. >shadow animation Interesting shit. So I guess this means Shadow met Emerl before Battle? And it seems this is also going to span the beginning of Heroes maybe? First episode releases Wednesday, I'm gonna look for that tomorrow. Overall it seems they are a lot more ambitious than just a few years ago. In that sense I'm surprised they haven't tried their hand at making an animated show of their own given that they seem even more hungry than before about these animations with 2 going on at the same time. I guess part of that is due to there already being the Netflix show and the movies. Too bad.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1s188WNEiqw Holy fucking shit it's actually good. There's some legitimate character interactions and a plot that for now looks interesting and reasonably nuanced and complex. The characterization is also pleasing, I hope to fucking god they don't end making shadow the unlikeable irrational cunt they've made him in every single story for the past several many years. The pacing is so good, holy shit it ties together several landmark events without treating the viewer like a retard that isn't going to understand unless all the concepts and details are introduced immediately before. Holy shit I don't remember when was the last time something like this happened, it's so cool.

>Emerging Role of Sonic Hedgehog (Shh) Signalling Pathway in Alzheimer's Disease Development Abstract <During the development of the central nervous system the Sonic hedgehog (Shh) signalling pathway play an important role in neurogenesis and neural patterning. Dysregulation of Shh signalling pathway contributes to various neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. Shh signalling pathway directly or indirectly regulates other related pathways involved in the development of neurodegenerative diseases. In our study we aim to explore the role of Shh in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). We have treated the SH-SY5Y cell line by AlCl3 to develop an AD model. Thereafter, we have checked the Shh expression in AlCl3 treated SH-SY5Y cell line. In our results we have found high expression of Shh in Alcl3 treated SH-SY5Y cell line compared to untreated SH-SY5Y cell line. Also, we have found low expression of Gli1 in Alcl3 treated SH-SY5Y cell line compared to untreated SH-SY5Y cell line. This study signifies the role for Shh-Gli1 signalling pathway in the development of AD and suggested that shh-Gli1 signalling pathway can be used as a therapeutic target for AD. https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4295046
>>25959 A little overdramatic, the CGI isn't really the best, and Maria's voice sounds awful (will be playing Japanese dub), but I like it a lot still. Not bad. I'm just glad the plot of Sonic is becoming more consistent. I also love that it was made by the Japanese, I'm sick and tired of western Sonic cartoons I want another anime.

>>25959 The next two episodes have been released since then. They're more action focused and it's made me miss the way the story was told in the first one, but they're still fun and interesting and sadly they're quite good to the point I was expecting them to actually have some sort of conclusion like a real series would. But they're clearly just an introduction to the game, which I guess is fair but man I hate it, I really wanted more of this, I could watch this all day. >>25982 >Tower Interesting that Flynn managed to sneak that in. That name was only used in the Archie comics previously. He never had a name in the games, and in the movies he's called Commander Walters. Frankly, I think Flynn should have tried to sneak in the movie name. Of course he'd have more affinity for the name he came up with, but the movies are current and relevant, and it would be extra hilarious to more clearly confirm that "The Olive Garden Guy" from the movies watched Maria get shot when he was a kid.
