Okay, this may be good if they're self-aware enough to make this parody.

>and mostly just recycle centuries old basic ideas from philosophy and science fiction books with a little bit of now dated CGI action on top
But, a huge part of the first film's plot was everyone obsessing over how Neo was "the one", him telling them that the entire way through, and going on the suicide mission at the end of the film to save Morpheus because there's no one left who can save him. In some ways, it's kind-of like
Die Hard, where McClane saves the day because he's the only person there that can do it, not because he's on some mission from God.

>it's just the same unoriginal bullshit but without the benefit of hiding behind an advance in visual effects.
You also forget that, since 1999, we've had films like
Equilibrium and the
Resident Evil,
Blade, and
Underworld series that all expanded upon the "gunfu" concept from the first movie; not to mention an endless stream of "currazay" actions games spawned from folks that housed CPS4, the entire
Gungrave series,
Van Helsing; then there's all the bullet-time games like
Max Payne,
Dead to Rights,
F.E.A.R.,
Superhot, and the "Return of the King" that was
Strangehold.

>I'm genuinely concerned they're not actually from the movie and are just some low quality parody of it.
I heard that the action scenes from the second and third film were dogshit (Wouldn't know because I turned the second one off after the orgy), it's
THAT bad?
Should I actually watch it since I get HBO for free?

Someone should really edit that image so that both of them are laughing.

What do you expect when they guy's school of intellectual thought was spawned as a result of just chilling around at a prostitutes house?
