OPERATION MAX REVIVE Rebuild the board's userbase and activity through simple, but effective methods 1. Post across the entire board Activity creates activity. Use threads you like, make new ones if topics don't exist. Easy examples are Drawthreads and Friday Night threads, go request or draw something right now. 2. Recruit and recover lost or potential anons Use this site's OC and features to entice anons if necessary when recruiting, just inform that we are alive. Here's some sites and links with at least some confirmed anons that can be recruited again: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chotwheels https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SSAVCH https://steamcommunity.com/groups/video_games https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chmohun https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chan_monster https://steamcommunity.com/groups/GoodLuckEbolaChan https://steamcommunity.com/search/groups/#text=8ch.net https://steamcommunity.com/search/groups/#text=8chan Other sites that might yield fruitful results and have anons (art sites use an account so you can see 18+ content): https://www.deviantart.com/search?q=Vivian+James https://www.newgrounds.com/search/summary?suitabilities=etm&terms=Vivian%20James https://twitter.com/search?q=Vivian%20James&src=typed_query&f=image https://rpgcodex.net/ https://old.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction/ Somewhere on Telegram Just searching up GG or 8chan-related terms on certain places/sites can get you possible results. 3. Make your own OC/Memes/Content
[Expand Post]Doesn't matter what it is even if its just simple edits or full-on drawings or webms, just make it and have fun. Ask in thread for software recs if necessary. 4. Encourage or create fun events, activities, projects, etc. Think things like 8chanmania, weekly streams, re-translation projects, demo days, or zzz's gaming magazine for example. If you want to do something, try making or reviving it, it can't hurt and these things are great for the board. 5. Use other boards All it takes for a board to grow is at least 2 dedicated anons using it. Don't be afraid to make a post, check places periodically, shill, or what have you. Don't force discussions to boards, just encourage the usage of them. 2. OPERATION TRAJAN: Collect and catalog all of the various localization and censorship accounts of past video games into a single repository from these sources: romhacking.net The_Cutting_Room_Floor/tcrf.net Segaretro.org https://redirect.invidious.io/channel/UCFItIX8SIs4zqhJCHpbeV1A Examples: http://archive.vn/XQOHW Sony's policies forces censorship; JP devs allegedly have to go through ENG approval process: https://archive.fo/awzFF - Japanese blog post about it: https://archive.fo/bF9bE Sony Japan President Says PS4 Censorship Policy Is To Match Global Standards And Protect Kids: https://archive.fo/U3GLa - Confirms censorship was deliberate: https://archive.fo/XgAgP - No rules for censorship policies, games judged case-by-case: https://archive.fo/37DhK - Marvelous partner starts petition against policy: https://archive.fo/rxQtf https://archive.fo/84UHo • Twitterfags: Tweet with Sony's stock code $SNE so that investors see your tweets and know you're pissed. • Consider spreading OP Timber materials to targets as well: http://archive.vn/URjtu ONGOING TASKS: A. >>268392 >I feel like if they didn't treat it as a mainline game then people would've been more receptive towards it, however the jackasses at capcom wanted to make Donte the new face of Devil May Cry. It's not hard to come to that conclusion, because it's obvious that's what they should have done, and it's not like there was no precedent for this because Mega Man has a ton of spin off series, and no one ever became worried Classic Mega Man would be gone forever. "Of course it helps Mega Man X was pretty much an improvement in nearly every area, thus justifying it's creation." There are multiple things they could have done to soften the landing of DmC >A) Make it clear it was a spin off Alt Universe, and that Classic DMC wasn't off the table in the future >B) Should have changed the character names from the start, so it didn't seem like Dante was getting replaced. >C) with a few adjustments DmC didn't even need to take place in an Alt Universe, there really isn't that much about the events of the game that couldn't have happened in the classic universe to characters that weren't Dante, Vergil, and Mundus. Limbo city is just a much less subtle version of nearly the same shit that was going on to the City and Villain in DMC2. What they choose to do was some how make the dumbest most nonsensical decisions possible, that it seems like no one knew what the fuck was going on with the game they were making. No one knew DmC was supposed to be an Alt Universe, it's possible it actually wasn't, because there are interview videos with the Voice actor of Dante were he calls the game a Prequel, "The actor didn't play the DMC games because they told him not to" no one corrected him in editing or anything. So maybe not even the people who made the fucking game understood wither or not they were making a prequel or a new universe. and anyone with half a brain would know DmC's events are impossible in the Main DMC universe. Everything about DmC's story production and PR was a cluster fuck of nonsense, it's the most unprofessional thing i'v ever seen. >>268404 The thing about Donte while he's an asshole and a dumb ass, it does feel like there is an honesty to him. when I see Donte I do feel like he is a real character who is an Asshole and an idiot. Same goes for all the characters in DmC, I can separate them from the Classic universe and definitely say everyone in that story is a believable idiot who thinks they are better then they actually are.
>>268405 Others have said this, but it’s like Japanese animators turning a shitpost about a bad American live-action adaptation you see on Netflix into an actual anime. Nu-trigun intentionally strips away masculinity from Trigun. Not just the fan service.

Ubisoft CEO tells staff the ball is in their court to turn the company around >Ubisoft's been having a rough time of it lately: Skull and Bones got delayed (opens in new tab) (again), the company cancelled three unannounced projects (opens in new tab), and its share price has taken a hell of a bruising. But CEO and co-founder Yves Guillemot knows just whose responsibility it is to turn things around: His staff's. >In an email seen by Kotaku (opens in new tab), Guillemot told Ubisoft staff that "The ball is in your court to deliver this line-up on time and at the expected level of quality" after the company's myriad delays had "weighed on our costs and decreased our associated revenues". Guillemot told staff that he needed their "full energy and commitment" in order to make sure that Ubisoft "[gets] get back on the path to success". >Guillemot, who was set to make €624,824 (opens in new tab) (around $675k/£550k) last year after taking a 30% pay cut—he earnt €1.03 million ($1.1m/£910k) in 2021—also implored staff to "be especially careful and strategic" with their "spending and initiatives," in order to assure that the company was being "as efficient and lean as possible". >To be clear, Ubisoft is foundering at the moment, and it'll absolutely require hard work from everyone at the company to steady the ship in the months and years ahead. But for the company's millionaire CEO to lay all that responsibility at the feet of his staff—and seemingly take none for himself in the process—is profoundly tone-deaf. For the statement to come from Ubisoft, with its recent and ugly history of workplace mismanagement and abuse (opens in new tab), only makes the statement more wince-inducing. >Ubisoft's best bet to shake off its current slump is probably this year's Assassin's Creed Mirage (opens in new tab), its upcoming AC game that looks set to return to the series' roots in both setting and gameplay. >It'll offer a more contained experience (opens in new tab) than the likes of Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, and will be set in the Middle East. I'm no management expert, but I imagine it'd be easier to get that game out the door if its staff don't feel like the CEO reckons it's entirely on them to turn around the fortunes of a multi-billion dollar corporation (opens in new tab). https://archive.ph/gm1ga

Here's a blast from the past as far as the reboot is concerned: https://archive.ph/jvN8P TribladeX is a former Ninja Theory employee who worked on the title as a technical designer and was in charge of quite a bit of stuff to upgrade it to the Definitive Edition. Admits the Devil and Angel weapon system was deply flawed in both concept and execution as well as being inspired by the DMC4 mod "Gods Must Die"in addition to the "Must Style Mode", giving a shout out to "Dahbomb". Also talks about why Unreal Engine 3 was used in favor of MT Framework which was used not only in DMC4 but Lost Planet, Ex Troopers, Resident Evil, Dragon's Dogma, and many other pre RE7 Capcom games of that era. Bunch of interesting stuff that's worth a read of that thread. There's also something I want to share in the Bayonetta thread that's been done recently too.

>>268470 < (Trigun) > I tried watching it many years ago, but got bored in around 6-7 episodes since it felt like nothing was happening. The first 6-7 episodes are the best IMO. They are self contained stories where Vash is an unlikely goofy hero who saves the day, but he gets blamed for the massive property damage that someone else caused so he has to ditch town. I like that formula and would have been happy if the show had stayed that way. The rest of the series is a DBZ-like arc where Vash has showdowns with absurdly powerful supervillains, and the girls who were introduced as strong characters in the beginning are just along for the ride because they aren't powerful enough to match their godlike powers. One thing the later arc has going for it is that it tells the backstory of the world.

>>268486 >It's about making it inconvenient enough that the few sites that do bother are basically ghost towns. But they won't be able to do that. The algorithm It's not AI is already capable of emulating basically any artistic style. In under five years, it will be indistinguishable from something someone actually drew, and you'll even be able to tell it to retain lines while "working its way up" through a series of images that appear as though it was hand drawn from separate layers and assembled, if you're questioned about it. It's not like "oh, that's obviously a drawing of what we call 'a child,' therefore it's banned." It's "shit fuck tits nigger, is this something this guy drew by hand, or did he generate it in 30 seconds with AI?" They won't be able to know. The ONLY method of enforcement will be mandatory video streams of the entire drawing process being uploaded alongside the image, which would turn THEIR sites into ghost towns.

>>268487 This has less to do with AI easily blending into the galleries and more the human consequences of the paranoia surrounding it. Yes, assuming AI gets to that point, it'll be impossible to tell (I sincerely doubt it'll be as fast as you say, but I'm a cynical ass) without going full draconian, but the faggots won't care. They're already shooting first and asking questions later, and they will bake their desperate attempts to kill AI into legal language and promptly be taken advantage of by Copykike hawks like (((Disney))) like with that SMART Copyright Act. Once established, the ball is in the accuser (corporate or otherwise)'s court as their whining become credible legal threats, to say nothing of fanart if a company doesn't like what's being drawn if you """"claim"""" it's AI. Strictly speaking, the lawsuit would be easily defended against (assuming you didn't have a Ty Beard-tier incompetent lawyer), but that's the thing; going to court in the first place. We're talking about a scenario where AI accusation becomes a legal risk -- the absolute best way to make ordinary people to cuck out because lawsuits cost money.
>>268487 Assuming that AI can detect AI generated work, sites would probably just use some NFT-style system where you need each generated piece to have a string proving it was generated with a goyim approved dataset. But even that all that would do is delay the inevitable. Even if you use an entirely ethical consensual dataset for the AI to learn off of the conclusion is the exact same as before. So it's all rather pointless and all you end up doing is catering to the fleeting dreams and egos of artists desperate to maintain a sense of importance. As if their contributions are uniquely worth protecting over everyone else's.
>>268491 We should cut the internet cables and get EMPs, the ai will replace talking in real life next.
>>268492 As an aside, I say "easily defended" assuming there was rationality in the court and decrepit boomer judges know what the fuck internet AI is to make a qualified precedent on cases brought before them. What I fear is not the likes of Deviantart self-destructing, but the fact people trying to make any alternative would effectively live with a legal sword of damocles for not falling into the same "if someone calls it AI, kill it dead" lockstep, unless they get a Musk-tier rich patron who's willing to fight for AI rights without turning up suicided by corporate assassins.
Too many retards are thinking AI will replace us artist and are panicking which is dumb as AI might have a use as tool, but you also have a lot of retards hoping AI will replace us artist but that's not really the case either as there is lot of things AI will never truly replicate or come up with. >>268491 The more technology is made, the more problems are caused, but in return, those problems will be solved, along with problems endemic to the human condition. There is literally no reason to not welcome AI. If humans are worthless shits who can't survive after billions of years of surviving already, we're pieces of shit who don't deserve it anyway. Being for or against something is trivial. There is only progress. Welcome it or get out of the way.
>>268499 AI already went from being unable to create anything coherent to being able to create professional human-like art in a year, what makes you think it won't be able to sort through shit better? This is the major recurring theme of any AI discussion, there's always people pretending the current state of AI is permanent and unchanging when it's advancing at breakneck speeds.

>>268535 I know, but most social media bots right now still resort to keyword triggers and usually have a predetermined set of responses (with maybe some sort of way to make permutations of them). It still requires their owner to build a 'personality' and history for them as a cover. They also require supervision from time to time. Leading edge development could almost fully automate the creation, deployment and maintenance of them right now. But still the problem is having a bot that can engage in reliable off-topic conversation to add that extra degree of "realness". Far as I know, the bot owner would have to control that part.
>>268533 But the joke with that bit is that it was completely untrue that BOB SAGET RAPED AND KILLED A GIRL IN 1990. That it's completely unfounded, highly exaggerated, and otherwise untrie that BOB SAGET RAPED AND KILLED A GIRL IN 1990, and if anyone out there, anybody at all, were to try to come forward with proof that BOB SAGET RAPED AND KILLED A GIRL IN 1990, i would spit in their face.

Fuck, I might as save it as a text file since he keeps making thus dumbass argument. >>767376 >You both seem to missing the point of his statement, so I'll play devil's advocate for a paragraph. Yes, you can spend time on multiple things. But you're not immortal. You don't have infinite time. Time spent on X is time not spent on Y, and even if you split your time between multiple things, because everyone does, that's still to the exclusion of all the things you didn't spend that time on. So he's saying, from an "our competitors might financially crush us in the future" perspective, that time spent playing a pirated version of game X, is better than time spent on game Y which is competing with game X and is thus supporting the developers of game X by pirating their game. This is silly though for two reasons. >Firstly, this implies time spent doing Z, which is totally unrelated to games X or Y, somehow benefits game X purely by virtue of it not being game Y. Therefore, if pirating a pozzed dev's game is helping them because you're not giving money to their competitors, then that means watching Dragon Ball Z is helping pozzed devs because you're not giving money and attention to their competitors when you do that either. If one still accepts this to be true, one must at least then concede that this level of help is entirely negligible, as if it wasn't, this would mean everyone in the world is significantly contributing to the success of millions of products that they never even know about by simple virtue of never knowing about their competitors either. Therefore, piracy's benefit is also negligible. The only benefit piracy has for a dev is word of mouth praise, and that's only if their game is good in the first place and mostly applies to places where buying isn't easily possible. >Secondly, while time may not be infinite, the time required for games X and Y is still a factor. If games X and Y are short or niche, whether you pirate game X is irrelevant to this competitor time logic because you're probably going to consume both all of games X and Y regardless, since people who like game X have a very high probability of liking game Y, as these are competing games and thus similar. So ultimately the piracy has no effect besides denying game X its potential profits.

Want to know how I figured out how leftism, Islam and climate change alarmist were bad? I actually read up on them and learned the sheer amount of bullshit they were on, which is why I was able to to debunk their retardation, this has been a thing taught in these threads since 2015 or better it's just debating skills 101.
>>268650 >this has been a thing taught in these threads since 2015 or better it's just debating skills 101. I'd bet my left nut that 90% of anons, both are against Communism and haven't read the Communist Manifesto.
>>268651 I think the ones who did read it would say they are against Communism™ too, and real communism hasn't been tried yet.
>>268651 Why would you need to read it? The results speak for themeselves, its the ideology with the biggest killcount and responsable for the most human suffering.
>>268641 >>268646 Just so that I can outline my line of thinking: >Firstly, this implies time spent doing Z, which is totally unrelated to games X or Y, somehow benefits game X purely by virtue of it not being game Y. No, in that instance, what you're doing benefits Z while being a detriment to X and Y. There's a reason why the Netflix CEO said that their primary competitor is video games, NOT TV and video. And, this plays in to... > this would mean everyone in the world is significantly contributing to the success of millions of products that they never even know about by simple virtue of never knowing about their competitors either Which is slightly true. When it comes to things like supply chains, people don't tend to care about how a product is made, just as long as it is made. Think of it like buying a new waffle iron. While you may only care about the brand of the company it comes from, you may not care about where the each company gets their supplies from to build said waffle maker. Jumping out of the hypothetical and into the practical, there's a food distribution company out there called Sysco. While you may not care who Sysco is, what you do care about is that Sysco supplied food and that you eat at fast food chains like McDonald's and Wendy's or buy from stores like Target and Costco. So, for Sysco to achieve the best financial results possible, their goal would be for keep the public in the "dark" about finding a place by where they can find food (Even directly) that isn't provided by Sysco (Meat comes from the supermarket, not cows), or make the sure that any backlash on the foods Sysco distributes falls upon one of their customers (Restaurants, super markets, etc.) rather than on themselves. >The only benefit piracy has for a dev is word of mouth praise, and that's only if their game is good in the first place and mostly applies to places where buying isn't easily possible. What about cases like Cyberpunk and Pokemon, where people are STILL pirating and talking about the damn things (Even before the former's anime) despite all the hubbub about the games being thoroughly broken, instead of playing and promoting better alternatives like Temtem and Biomutant, which fell by the wayside?
>>268649 The notion isn't that art is dead. It's that art will be less commercially viable for artists. These are radically different things. Art can be entirely made by only AI and it still wouldn't be dead. Art will be more alive than ever because it will be more accessible than ever. AI will bring more creativity and content. It will just diminish the value of artists.
>>268491 >Why are most people here pro-AI? We're not. These algorithms have fucking nothing to do with artificial intelligence. Moreover, we're in favor of the destruction of low effort jewish "content creators" and the spurring on of human innovation. >Aren't you worried AI will replace you? No, because we're not mentally ill and don't believe what jewish media says simply because they said it. You realize that Luddite claim exists solely to get you to support communist UBI, right? There's zero evidence for it being true. >What if they make an AI that instantly mass-generates GG threads? They already do. The number of paid shills we get here means that most threads are entirely formulaic.
>>268650 >Pic Wasn't me. I wasn't making serious discussion that time. Just funposting. >>268654 >what you're doing benefits Z while being a detriment to X and Y. But it's better for X than spending time on their competitors? That is the argument being made, is it not? >>268654 >There's a reason why the Netflix CEO said that their primary competitor is video games, NOT TV and video. I'm sure the CEO of Netflix is fucking retarded just like the CEO of any company that pays for DRM. If you consider entire other industries your competitors, you've lost the plot, as the young'uns say. Saying "we're competing with everything that isn't us", is a useless statement, empty corporate buzzwords. It doesn't benefit the development of your product at all, to look at something that is completely unrelated as a competitor. >Which is slightly true. Lmao. >people don't tend to care about how a product is made, just as long as it is made. >you may not care about where the each company gets their supplies from I think you've jumped to a totally different discussion all of a sudden without any explanation as to how it's relevant to this one. >their goal would be for keep the public in the "dark" about finding a place by where they can find food But you can't pirate food, and playing a pirated game doesn't keep you in the dark about similar games. Hell, playing game X at all and discussing it, even to the benefit of game X in spite of your pirating it, could lead to discovery of competing games. I don't see how this is relevant in any way to the discussion, as you're talking about information control through centralization now, not use of time/mindspace. The only way I could relate what you just said to videogames, would be a discussion of how people's reliance on online storefronts such as Steam prevents them from finding all the shit that's not on it. And piracy, even of things available on Steam, leads to discovery of things not on Steam. >What about cases like Cyberpunk and Pokemon, where people are STILL pirating and talking about the damn things (Even before the former's anime) despite all the hubbub about the games being thoroughly broken People are still buying those things in spite of them being shit too. That has nothing to do with piracy allegedly benefitting them. You have to account for other factors. Mainly piracy has no word of mouth benefit for anything of any medium that already has plenty of advertising. This is regardless of whether the word of mouth that exists is positive. If something is marketed to hell and back, it's probably going to be both bought and pirated a lot, even if it's shit. Such is the power of marketing over normalfags.

Yes I know these caps are from cuckpol but bare with me, Pakis and most other muds have this way of making nearly everywhere they live an arid hellhole.
>>268658 >Much of the art made by AI currently is pretty cookie cutter which is to be expected as it's fairly new. Or because people have cookie cutter tastes and like to produce generic shit. The AI can mimic basically any art style you want it to.
>>268657 >Hell, playing game X at all and discussing it, even to the benefit of game X in spite of your pirating it, could lead to discovery of competing games Theoretically, yes. In practice, no. Unless explicitly asked for, when do you ever see people bring up competing games (Outside of the series, itself)? Look at the GoW and Pokemon threads. In neither of those do you see discussions of competing series like Bujingai, Darksiders, and Marlow Briggs, or Spectrobes, Monster Rancher, and Medarot? >And piracy, even of things available on Steam, leads to discovery of things not on Steam. Funny thing about that is that people don't care about buying a game unless it's on Steam. Several weeks ago, there was a news article that popped about some vintage title "finally" getting a digital rereleases after it was out of print for years, only for me to immediately fire back you could have bought it on another digital storefront. >If something is marketed to hell and back, it's probably going to be both bought and pirated a lot, even if it's shit. Such is the power of marketing over normalfags. But doesn't that create the issue that people on this site should be "better" than that? Or even those aware of the practices? For example, with the upcoming Dead Space, we KNOW it's going to be shit just by looking at the videos already coming out. Yet, you can bet your ass that SOMEONE from here is going to pirate the game, play through it, talk extensively about how shit the game is, and nothing will ever be gained except increased focusing on the game's existence instead of playing something else. That's also beside the fact that I buy into the idea of "No bad press" when porn is almost exclusively the reason why Overwatch is still so popular, and then there was that Evolve image where the shill said that the game died because 2k pulled all marketing of the game because they weren't too happy about all the porn going other there (Quality be damned).

Are we talking fates-tier here where characters are changed entirely and whole chunks of dialogue are replaced with "..." for the 'funny', or is it closer to three houses where the most "censorship" we get is adding accents and removing certain uses of "woman" in some dialogue. Or is it closer to triangle strategy's translation where they rewrote characters significantly and signal-boosted female characters as a women empowerment kind of thing? Or... you get the point, just saying "It's censored bro" or "they fucked up the translation" ain't saying much.

First, one particular thread is not all discussion of a game. Second, Pokemon discussion is so popular that people make topics specifically to discuss "pokemon-like games", i.e. monster catchan competitors. >and nothing will ever be gained except increased focusing on the game's existence instead of playing something else. There's good fun to be found in tearing things apart too. Look at Uncommon Time. Are you seriously going to tell me that anons' obsession with Uncommon Time, all filled with explicit hate of the game's design and story, has had a net positive benefit to the game? The way you frame "focusing on the game's existence" is implying any attention given to poor product good for it. Not all publicity is good publicity. Negative discussion about something will discourage both further piracy and and purchases among those with their ears open. If people start talking about your cookies causing cancer, that's not good for your cookies just because more people know about them. >That's also beside the fact that I buy into the idea of "No bad press" Then as I stated above, you're fucking retarded. >I buy into the idea of "No bad press" when porn is almost exclusively the reason why Overwatch is still so popular Porn isn't bad press. The shill lied. How can you not know this? His pointing out of Evolve porn was a desperate attempt to get people into the game. It had nothing to do with the game's failure except that him looking desperate made it's in-progress failure more obvious and nosedive faster. There's also big difference between porn existing of your product, and having official PR statements about the porn for a game that isn't lewd. Not even porn could save Evolve.

Sankaku Complex - Western Censorship Invades Japan: “Animal Ears Might Be Considered Bestiality” https://archive.is/uy0rV A publisher apparently wouldn't take on an ero-manga's neko art because they deemed it "furry" and such "beastiality". The ero-manganka specifically said the magazine adopted western standards... >Speaking of which, for the ero-manga I’m drawing currently, when I suggested having a sex scene take place at a shrine with a god’s messenger that had fox ears and a tail, I was told, “Because this is an e-magazine, we’re afraid we might break the rule about ‘no bestiality’,” and so adding the ears and tail was rejected. Because e-magazines follow Western standards, sometimes things like this may happen. >Even when I said they were a ‘neko’ and not a ‘furry’, the editor was not able to immediately tell… >Hmm, on the topic of kemomimi and tails, basically the publishing company will outsource the e-magazine to a company working in the online publishing industry, and so the editor isn’t able to immediately determine if it’s okay or not. Normally speaking, you’d think they are overthinking it, but as soon as there is a report from the online publishing company saying that “this is bad”, it’s easy to get the manga taken offline. >For paper publications, the only parties involved are the publishing company, and distributors like Nippan or Tohan. For e-magazines, lots of companies like Fanza or Kindle are involved in the dealings, you see. Speaking of which, my ero-manga tankobons, which feature a lot of onee-shota and incest, are pretty much all removed from Kindle. >They were registered there once, but suddenly one day they removed it from the shelves. It’s quite tough. As soon as somebody raises their voice, saying: “I can’t believe you’re distributing something as disgusting as this”, it’s gone. >How should I put this… for publishing companies, at the very least in post-war Japan, they have the duty, or at least the pretense, that the freedom of speech and expression should be protected. But for online publishing companies, there’s no such understanding. “If there are complaints, we’ll strike you down. >>268711 There's legit people who can't function without keeping themselves busy with work. Now there's things like manual labor & food service jobs that can be replaced without much loss to people's needs.
>>268711 These two anons got it right: >>268712 >>268714 People have significantly less tolerance for mindless bullshit work because COVID took away most of the bread and circus they enjoyed, leaving them only with work (if they were lucky). Compound this with automation and work that require less and less skill, work that doesn't allow you to grow, work that makes you dependent on specific tools that your corporate enterprise uses as opposed to whatever you may learn, work that is owned by the tools you used as opposed to your own prowess or ability to create anything of value. Bureaucrats put up with that shit for centuries because they're soulless and mentally stunted, but even they needed their creature comforts and social stimulation--not to make themselves believe that they were anything but cogs in a machine, no, that much they came to terms with. They just need them to take the edge off the pain, like a lubricant hence why weed became legal all over the place all of a sudden alcohol and prescription drugs from a shrink that would have you dependent on a pharmaceutical company to not kill yourself, well those things just don't cut it anymore. The unabomber was pretty on point when he stated that the industrial revolution and its consequences were a disaster for humanity. With every iteration urbanite society only dehumanizes its components further and inflicts more blight upon their very existence simply by the mechanism of removing the meaning and ownership over your own labour.
The real problem with this whole discussion of AI art bringing an end to human artists is that human artists already are starving because people don't want to PAY for art. And then, there is the fractal distribution of success: for a Steven King there are ten people who sell a tenth the books, a hundred people who sell a hundredth the books, etc. For that combination of reasons, most artists either have a real job, or make due being in one of those lower tiers. tl;dr : AI art is just a manifestation of the lack of value of human-made art. My two cents.
Artfags better GIT GUD or fucking wild if they want recognition or moolah. Only dozy cunts with more money than sense pay for that shit anyway, my copy of Stable Diffusion has made more pictures in 3 months that I'll be keeping than I'll EVER save of a human artist. Humans are too hemmed in by style and the social pressures of their day, AI is unrestricted so it's got them by the balls.
>>268717 Commercialization of art has very little to do with your intrinsic artistic skill. It's always been the case that good art only gets you part of the way to financial success. Artfags are just butthurt that the starting line just moved very close to where they already are. Now people without the artistic skill but the marketing and business competence can catch up or surpass them because most artfags have zero interpersonal, marketing, and business sense. Before the industry was dependent on the autistic but skilled artist. Now they can skip over them and only work with the ones that have a wide spectrum of ability, who in turn will also see significantly increased output because of AI tooling. Note how not a single person is complaining about the writing industry being equally if not more shit out of luck because of AI. Drawfags are the only people pissing and moaning.
>>268680 Sankaku has an extremely obnoxious samefag who spams the comment sections.
>>268718 >Note how not a single person is complaining about the writing industry being equally if not more shit out of luck because of AI. Probably because you'll always need humans to proofread the AI's output and add necessary corrections (in the foreseeable future). In a writer's case they'll become more like editors supervising such AIs. A similar thing will happen with artists. There's always going to be demand for designers to draw and tailor training data (like sketches to give an AI references to draw things a precise way) and editors which fine-tune the output of such AI tools.
>>268698 …How do you know it’s with a filter?

>>268716 >human artists already are starving because people don't want to PAY for art And that is a good thing. As it was done to music before, people are rightfully fed up with artists and companies exploiting appreciators and making them "hostages" to the things they like, in order to extort money and give back less and less works of quality, and fewer quantity of what people want. Anything in the world can only have monetary value if people decide that it has it. If people decide that it has no monetary value, it has none. No matter the amount of labor put into it. Labor has no value on it's own. Products have no value on their own. People decide if they have any value or not. And people decided that art has no monetary value. And that is because when it had, people were exploited and extorted. So now people said enough and decided, rightfully so, to never pay for art ever again. >AI art is just a manifestation of the lack of value of human-made art. Precisely. Any perception of value that human-made art "had" was illusory. A machine can now create the same art. And the machine improves infinitely, at a unstoppable speed. That made artists, and people in general, notice how human-made art has no value on it's own, and how machine-made art is preferable, for being easier, faster, available to all, and soon, more precise and beautiful than any human-made art could ever be.
(3.03 MB 1280x720 ALERTA MACACO.mp4)

>>268716 fun fact - check out freelance website like fivver or upwork, the most common place for "artists" since there's no interview job for artists. The most common work they have is for websites and corporate illustrations, which are dime a dozen and not unique. The odd "real art" you see is just one off for special grandma giftcards and maybe you'll see a printed poster or wallpaper. Compare that to the fetish porn art market where people want specialized art, with very specific demands, and (somewhat) streamlined job security. But that shit obviously won't make it to normalfag crowd.

>>268910 It's basically saying that a computer AI "learns" by rote and doesn't actually understand anything. >>268914 Technically there is some sort of abstract meaning built over time, even if it's as simple as acting like a subconscious "bookmark" or "junction" to a certain sequence of memories or knowledge. The brain tries to find correlations in everything and like you suggest, unique stimuli experiences would result in a distinct personality forming.

>>268916 >Velma is so bad, there are people claiming it was made as a right-wing psyop
>>268911 That's not wrong but it's incredibly reductive. Modern AI uses perceptron-type "neural" units that activate based on math. In a sense, this isn't that different from biological brains which sense impulses based on a chemical threshold. The complexity is much lower. That said, it's all playing association games. That's not unlike humans, though. Most human behavior is also down to watching others and doing what they do. You get a dopamine hit when something "feels" good. Creating an AI is mostly about giving AI "rewards" for doing what the researcher wants it to do. The performance is largely based on the complexity of the model and how rewards are allocated. In short, it's all stochastic but the human brain probably works on similar principles. The problem is we never established a clear understanding of what "critical thinking" truly is, and neurologists still don't know if there's anything special about the human brain or about animal brains in general. Both neurology and AI are young fields. Humanity may look back in a couple centuries and say "those AIs could never have imitated a human because it's missing a fundamental part", or they could say "actually those AIs were incredibly primitive, but robust, and this is when we started being able to artificially reproduce human intelligence".
>>268918 You should see when he starts losing it over "proshippers" though he mostly keeps that on twitter.

Good morning, faggots. I have a question that needs a serious answer: How do you study comic book strips? It's for my internship.
(153.58 KB 1250x423 45.jpg)

idk
>>268950 Depends what you mean m80, comic book or comic strips. The former would have things like page layout variation and how engaging the plot or opening a random page would be, the latter you can judge with bullshit art-critic-like lines to interpret hidden satire or something. Of course drawing style, individual compositions, the feel of the colors used, maybe font, and how wide a range between drooling retards and intellectuals can enjoy it.

The pushie and pop-up care you will never use because it will just get dirty and ruin the value. I don't even know what to say about the trading card. Exclusive? Trading? Trade for what? It's not like there are sets of collectible Little Witch Nobeta cards out there that you could put it in your album or whatever. This is just a heap of useless junk that you can sit upon like an autistic dragon. It just takes up space and collects dust. And I fucking bet will all that crap there still won't be space for a game manual. You know, the one thing that would be actually useful. >>268957 Acquiring things that don't have a practical use is degeneracy. Collectibles are for fucking faggots. >>268959 I don't fault people for wanting to collect trinkets and baubles, but the degree to which some do it is worrying to say the least. The obsession to collect more and more of such pointless nicknacks leads to other issues, hoarding behavior, financial ruin, what once was attributed to the mentality of those who lived through the great depression is just a disorder of the mind, thinking that those worthless objects are somehow an investment. It doesn't have to just be physical objects either, as evidenced by the scam shitizen jpeg market that people have thrown their life savings, their kids college funds away for. It just keeps harkening back to the philosophy of "everything in moderation". Many things humans do can be considered degeneracy because it produces nothing, but many philosophers would argue that so long as we do not become slaves to our vices that a bit of pointless behavior is good for the soul.
>>268965 Proper vices taken in moderation don't leave baggage. Collecting things necessarily leaves baggage. Once you stop collecting things you still have the things you collected.

(There's only one time this doesn't happen, see the last bulletin) >Every time Vivian's gender comes up, it's treated as a joke. The topic is never seriously delved upon outside of a gag >The game's most reliable narrator, Goombella, tells you it's a boy >On the character screen the game's description of Vivian blatantly tells you it's a boy that looks like a girl >There's a sidequest where a character named Goom Goom is looking for a girlfriend. If you try to pick Vivian as his girlfriend he tells you that's not a girl >The only time I can personally remember where the game's text uses BIG GIANT RED TEXT is when Beldam calls Vivian a man. >The only time I can personally remember where the game's text plays some sort of meta joke with the player is in the epilogue, where Goombella calls the Shadow Sirens "sisters" including Vivian, the game still manages sneak in a joke by putting a question mark in parenthesis right after it. Even in the damn epilogue they still made a subtle joke about it These are the ONLY times where Vivian's gender is ever brought up throughout the entire game. Reminder also that ALL OF THIS was removed in localization. Anyone using Vivian as any sort of positive trans representation has clearly never even peeped at the Paper Mario JP script where's it's not taken seriously at all.

>>269071 yeah and bridget used to be a boy, but
Judepedia changed its desktop design to match the oversimplified mobile version. This could be used to promote alternative platforms like Infogalactic.
>>269071 That would mean Vivian's trap as opposed to being trans as he's supposedly pushed as.
>>269074 Yeah. That's been the point since the beginning.
>>269069 only newfags use newfag :^)
>>269072 >and bridget used to be a boy, but And if I never play another Guilty Gear game past Xrd, then he always will be.
>>269077 I never get this line of reasoning. Playing past games doesn't magically make Daisuke not be a cuck.
>>269057 Nigger, youre noone to judge someone else's choices in life, specially when its anons just wanting to get neat stuff for their homes. Youre larping your way through adulthood, get that through your thick skull.
>>268543 >stop making fun of how criminally unfunny I am This is ACTUALLY funny.
>>269020 He's trying to argue that gnostic fanfics are canon.
>>269063 >it was the storehouse of all of the world's knowledge Indeed, no knowledge was known before or after that point. How wonderful it was.
>>269044 CCP is increasigly stopping the renew of contract of foreign companies, and they obviously have power enough to push this on the private companies
>>269061 Hymens can break through physical activity or not form at all really. Hymen testing only works if they checked before anything happened to see if it's there and what it looks like.

>>268543 >Though in fairness, one notorious dumbass here thinks "cunny" is a word used exclusively by trannies and legit pedophiles That's listanon. Is a joke. He' very dedicated to his merely pretending to be retarded act. I rarely ever see him break character. He's an real hero. >>268602 >It literally was until it got astroturfed into being a general loli meme. While it's true cunny was originally a /tv/ pedo meme, I don't think you're using the word "astroturfed" right. Cunny was adopted by lolicons very organically, with them even quickly permutating on it with further memes "uoh 😭", "chest and belly", and "mesugaki correction 💢". Also, the anon he's talking about didn't take issue with the term until after lolicons had adopted it.
>>269085 Before it was a /tv/ pedo meme cunny was and is still used by actual pedophiles to refer to a child's vagina. The term has been around a long time, so it's nice to see it finally being embraced by the "muh just fiction" group.
>>269086 It was used in general to refer to female genitally, just look at kingdom come: deliverance, or are you going to argue that the witches getting high in the forest were pedophiles?
>>269087 Well, we could always argue that no matter if what you say is right or not.
Or heres a possibility. You could all just not talk about child vaginas AT ALL.
So, is the bakery open? or the price of flour went too far because of the ucranian war?
>>269089 What are you talking about? Sexual thoughts about pure, innocent little girls are horrible. I would never suggest removing a little girl's clothes and licking her tiny body all over, nibbling her neck and kissing her adorable little nipples. Only a heartless monster would think about her cute girlish mouth and tongue wrapped around a thick cock slick with her saliva, pumping in and out of her mouth until it erupts, the cum more than her little throat can swallow. The idea of thick viscous semen overflowing, dribbling down her chin over her flat chest, her tiny hands scooping it all up and watching her suck it off her fingertips is just horrible. You're all a bunch of sick perverts, thinking of spreading her smooth slender thighs, cock poised at the entrance to her pure, tight, virginal pussy, and thrusting in deep as a whimper escapes her lips which are slippery with cum, while her small body shudders from having her cherry taken in one quick stroke. I am disgusted at how you'd get even more excited as you lean over her, listening to her quickening breath, her girlish moans and gasps while you hasten your strokes, her sweet pants warm and moist on your face and her flat chest, shiny with a sheen of fresh sweat, rising and falling rapidly to meet yours. It is truly nasty how you'd run your hands all over her tiny body while you violate her, feeling her nipples hardening against your tongue as you lick her chest, her neck and her armpits, savoring the scent of her skin and sweat while she trembles from the stimulation and as she reaches her climax, hearing her cry out softly as she has her first orgasm while that cock is buried impossibly deep inside her, pulsing violently as an intense amount of hot cum spurts forth and floods through her freshly-deflowered pussy for the first time, filling her womb only to spill out of her with a sickening squelch. And as you lie atop her flushed body, she murmurs breathlessly, "You came so much inside of me", then her fingers dig into your back as she feels your cock hardening inside her again. You're all freaks. A little girl's too pure for anyone to imagine her in such a terrible situation, and anyone who does is evil, evil, evil.
>>269085 You know what they say about ironic shitposting and pretending to be retarded. Speaking of, it fits in with the theme of the NEW THREAD: >>769398 >>769398 >>769398 >>769398 >>769398 >>769398` Remember when Gamergate was namedropped in Rick & Morty's Vat Of Acid Episode as part of an angry mob that wanted to kill Morty for various reasons? I know someone made a webm of that moment.
