Because he's obsessed with the site and the people who "worked" on it, specially Jim. When a person is genuinely obsessed with something it takes over their whole world, to the point where they can't stop thinking or talking about it. These people constantly try to bring the specific subject on every conversation because they can't let it go for a second, and no matter what you do they'll always return to it until it consumes their lives and leaves them with nothing else.
To me, these people are constant reminders on what will happen if I don't keep my own obsessions in check so they don't devolve into addictions. Is scary.

By the way, here's a banner I made based on this pic that I just saved.

I wouldn't be surprised if that actually was the norm for yaoi in general. Shotas, traps, twinks and practically everything in 2D/anime are idealized versions of the real thing, in this case homosexuality, and lack the ugly and gross things inherent of the male human body. People are hypnotized by their beautiful appearance and lack of imperfections, and develop a distorted preference for them that clashes violently when they see the real world equivalent.
Take Link (any Link) for example and think of everything that makes him attractive (there must be something on his body that you like, even if you aren't homosexual) and try to find a human with the same set of traits. The chances are that you find a girl or a super feminine "femboy" who have surface similarities like a smooth skin and androgynous body, but as soon as you look close you'll notice the imperfections on their bodies and your vision of a "real Link" will disappear.
The same thing happens in porn/hentai. In hentai there aren't "ugly" things (moles, excessive hair or fat, scars, warts, warts, stretch marks, etc.) or "gross" secretions (blood period, shit, pee, farts, mucus, etc.) that reduce the overall appeal unless the artist explicitly adds them, and in these niche cases said elements are added in an appealing way (scars are simple lines over the body, moles are just dots, blood is plain red, even poop looks less gross than in the real world). This gives drawn pornography an enormous advantage over real porn, where finding subjects who lack these imperfections becomes more difficult.
