Around an inch-half an inch is my favorite size. It's still big enough to be recognized as a person but with a lot of potential for unaware stuff as well.

Ideal size for gts would be about 30 ft - 50ft or so and shrunk would be about 2 inches. Anything too small or big and there really can't be too much interaction.
