I don't know if this is where you got the title from but man, as a kid I had an absolute fascination with these books. Seeing everything so nearly laid out and explained really fills the mind with ideas of how all these different tools and weapons were used. I should check with /lit/ or see if there's an epub of them online.

Yeah this shit was always cool. I loved little battle scenes and "character designs" featuring knights and such
