Yu-Gi-Oh Anonymous 07/17/2023 (Mon) 21:39:17 Id: ec859a No. 898
My apologies if this doesn't go here. This board doesn't have a thread for this game, even though we know a lot of people here play either master duel, the tag force/world championship games or in real life. Here's some links anyway, the game is actually pretty easy to understand. >Master Duel <https://store.steampowered.com/app/1449850/YuGiOh_Master_Duel This is the official simulator, made by KONMAI itself. Very F2P friendly if you want to build a certain deck (or just buy 3 structures, also very cheap, with dragonmaid and zombie being the best ones), and recent changes have made the experience "on-rails", so just download it and give it a go. Your first purchases should be the staples: Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Maxx C, Infinite Impermanence, Called by the Grave and Crossout Designator. These go in every deck, and you need 3 of each besides Called by the Grave (2) and Crossout Designator (1) >EDO Pro <https://projectignis.github.io/download.html The best unofficial simulator bar none, really fast with updates, runs on potato computers/phones and you can customize just about everything for free. Not a lot of people playing online though, but at least it's chinese-free. Doesn't have a story/solo mode, so you just build your deck and take it online, still useful if you want to learn the ropes. >YGO Omega <https://omega.duelistsunite.org/ Botnet, bitcoin miner and takes a lot of resources, it's still an alternative as it has a lot more people playing online, however the program is notorious for using a lot of resources and the devs outright telling people to fuck off when asking if the code will ever be made public, so everyone takes it as the game mining bitcoin for them. It also needs a discord account to play online in the first place. So why even bring it up, you say? Because the UI is less of a clusterfuck than EDO, and it's less autistic if you want to play against bots, as Omega lets you duel them regardless of how many illegal cards they run, so it's a decent choice if you want to test out a certain deck before you take it online in EDO or irl before you spend all your savings on shiny cardboard only to lose to a a fellow autist who spent more on even shinier cardboard. >Other links <https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Yugipedia The only decent wiki, and the devs are still a bunch of tranny lovers, they infamously removed the "list of female monsters" after a tranny made a video about it, stating how transphobic LOL and irrelevant it was, even though there's a reason for its existence (in the anime ZEXAL there's a card, Zombiestein, that won't attack female monsters, and over time people just kept adding to that list). <https://ygoprodeck.com/ Go here to get an idea of what your deck should include, i'm not saying just copy paste someone else's build and use it, but checking out someone else's deck can give you ideas on what to run, as you probably don't remember what every single card does (there's around 30k now) and how they could benefit your deck. <https://www.tcgplayer.com/ If you ever need a card, check prices here first, as local game shops will rob you blind. If you can't buy it here because it's out of stock, your only other real choice is ebay. >Overall tips for TCG/OCG Use sleeves, dragon shield if you don't mind the price and ultrapro if you do, both are really good. Konami sleeves are trash, however they're really pretty, so only buy them if you're planning on maxing out the rarity of your cards and double sleeving them. Double sleeving is unnecessary, and even in local tournaments people will ruleshark you about it, which can lead to a DQ. So just double sleeve your favorite decks and only use them in locals against friendlies. Don't go crazy on a deck box, as long as it can hold your deck (40 to 60 main deck cards, 15 extra deck cards and 15 side deck cards), field center and a single dice it's more than enough. Unlike master duel, you don't need to buy ALL the staples, only buy what you need, unless you fancy wasting all your money on cardboard, believe it or not this game is addicting. Don't be afraid of playing online/irl against randoms, the game is played mainly by autists. Just steer clear of metafags and trannies.

Branded Fusion You can only activate 1 card with this card’s name per turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck the turn you activate this card, except Fusion Monsters. (1) Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster that lists “Fallen of Albaz” as material from your Extra Deck, using 2 monsters from your hand, Deck, or field as Fusion Material, including at least 1 “Fallen of Albaz”. The thread's old as shit but I figured I should add something to help it bump especially with the thread trending. This card's gonna be busted with verte anaconda as everyone expects it to be.

This was copy pasted from whatever version of ygorganization exist at that time It is like the archetype sabotaging itself. The tribute monster need steelswarm specificly to get effect, the fodders have at least 2 restrictions on them, the dodge support is minus 2 (-1 at best). The trend has removed much of the richness of the competition in terms of exotic variety, but it doesn’t necessarily mean worse football. Oh and i made this thread because i'm testing out some decks irl, and since i have no friends i'm forced to try out decks against bots first, and then in locals. This is what i'm messing with right now, the structure deck came out in february so it's still pretty cheap to build, the most expensive card in that build is zeus (i got mine for $22) however they go for $10 to $15 these days, in a higher rarity even. The 3 impermanence are technically more expensive though, around $12 each. I think the ratios are pretty standard, though i'm considering swapping out a floodgate and a gravedigger's for a network and time-space. The dark rulers and nibirus have won me a lot of games, so they're staying. I'm at a loss when it comes to the extra deck, i technically only need a single pinguicula, cularia isn't useful unless i'm link climbing into atypus or something else and allomerus has been completely replaced by pinguicula. I'll probably test out something like accesscode talker, since link climbing to it is easy and will net me a 4300/5300 ATK beatstick with amazing effects, however it's stupid expensive. I do have the knightmares, so maybe those? Not siding a harpie's feather duster because it's currently in my other deck, i'll post it later.
(42.81 KB 544x544 Shien.jpg)

(328.14 KB 1200x1477 F0FM-ihaIAAyB3a.jpg)

Unfortunately unlike well-designed TCGs, how good a card is does not correlate with its rarity, and the key cards in shit-tier decks are still ultra-rare.
>>901 To add to this here's the link to the specific yugioh thread on /tg/. >>>/tg/480 or >>>/tg/308. It's more out of date and needs an update to the OP but it's there if you want.
>>902 Not really, you could foil out a tier 3 deck (a former tier 1 deck) today and only spend around $50-$70, even if all the cards are secret. TCG is shit because they already know which cards are going to be meta, and they bump the rarity in the west, kashtira was a ~$100 deck in japan, when they imported it you had to spend $500 on it, and that's without the staples and non-kashtira cards (which everyone in japan has, because they reprint them all the fucking time in low rarities). And it's not just meta decks, VS was a tier 2 deck at best in japan, when it debuted here in wild survivors the basic core (3 of each except panthera, the slime and the robot) was $600, and it needed 3 kurikara ($60 each) plus a bunch of staples, including the $60 pot of prosperity. Basically you had to spend 1k on a shit deck that lost 50% of the time, and didn't even look good. >>903 I didn't see the second thread, only the one that had dark magician, and i didn't post on it because the latest (and only) post was from 2021.
And here's my first, technically second deck (i built traptrix first, but shaddoll was the deck i've always wanted to play). >main deck, shaddoll I used to run 3 squamata, 2 wendi and 1 genius, but they were bricks most of the time except for squamata. As you can see i run 3 spellbook of knowledge, which lets me tribute a spellcaster to draw 2 cards, so wendi, genius and ariel were dead draws. I'm still not sure if i should run 3 squamata and 2 spellbook, or 3 spellbook and 2 squamata. Everything else just werks, not changing any of that. >main deck, invoked The same ratios everyone runs, because they're perfect. >main deck, everything else Veiler is a useful handtrap and it's light attribute. Super polymerization i will always run at 3 as long as it's legal, even if the discard does not trigger shaddoll's GY effects it still puts a body in the GY for schism to utilize. Ash and imperm are as generic as they get, so they go in all of my decks. Called by, foolish burial and harpie's feather duster are cards that can easily be replaced with anything else, but they're really good. >extra deck, shaddoll These are the ratios that work for me. Construct's sole use is fetching schism (dump squamata then dump schism), so she's fine at 1. Apkallone's negate is immensely useful, but requiring 2 shaddolls of different attributes is kinda awful, she can also fetch schism directly from the deck, but having to discard a card is not always a good thing, even if her effect does trigger shaddoll's GY effects. So she's fine at 1 too. Winda is an extremely strong monster since it locks combo decks and can only be banished or ran over in combat, so i need 2 of them. >extra deck, invoked 2 mechaba because omni-negate. Caliga is like winda in the sense that it can really fuck over your opponent if he's on the field, as he can only attempt to trigger monster effects once per turn, so ideally you bring him out at the end of your combo to completely prevent the opponent from doing plays, since he's also restricted to 1 attack per turn, meaning he either deals with winda or caliga, but (usually) not both. Raidjin looks awesome and has an useful effect, not sure why many people don't even run him. Augoeides destroys a monster on summon and then sits his fat 2800 DEF ass on the field until your opponent specials summons something, at which point he destroys it. He can also banish a fusion and gain its ATK, allowing it to go for game. Elysium is a invoked card, but i consider it a super poly target. Either way banishing itself to banish an entire attribute is too good, and it's a quick effect to boot. >extra deck, everything else. Artemis is just there because you can link aleister into her and bring out mechaba or construct. Gravity controller just sends construct/apkallone directly to the grave to trigger their effects. The super poly targets are self explanatory. The side deck isn't actually a side deck, it's just cards i plan to buy to improve the deck. I'm holding off on the branded cards, accesscode and garura until i'm 100% sure they won't be reprinted in the upcoming tin. Borreload savage is coming in december's rarity collection, so i won't buy it either. Apollousa, shadow's light and zealandis are still in the mail, cross-sheep and omega i already own. Verte and chaos ruler are there because i swore they were limited instead of banned, this also puts a hamper on my "pure" shaddoll build that had 1 red eyes fusion/destiny fusion, 1 verte and the two bricks needed for dragoon/enforcer. It might not look like much, but these cards speed up the deck a lot, normal summon aleister doesn't end in mechaba+schism if you drew shadow's light, it now ends in mechaba/raidjinn, apollousa and/or borreload savage with two negates plus schism and materials for a winda. Being able to dump apkallone/garura/omega directly to the GY without having to run a fuckton of brandon/ligmatika cards is a blessing, to bad it's only level 6 dark or light monsters, otherwise i'd run n'tss as well. It's still a tier 3 deck at best, but i'm happy that one of my favorite decks is a little bit stronger than before.
>>904 It helps they're actually going to release a Rarity Collection at the end of the year almost identical to the one JP got recently.
How do i ask a mod to move this thread to /tg/? It'll just get buried here, at least in /tg/ i can do semi-frequent posts and not worry about the thread dying after a week.
>>907 To be specific, i want to move all the posts but the OP to >>>/tg/480.
>>907 To move a thread from one board to another you need the BO of the board its currently on (Mark) and the BO of the board its moving to (Felbot) to agree that it should be moved. Once both agree a global mod can transfer the thread.
>>907 You can also do a Global Report of the thread and ask the admins to move it, that's how we got Drawthreads on >>>/drawarchive/

>>911 >>910 Well shit, then it'll stay here, i don't post every single day, so don't blame me if the thread dies.
>>912 Well dont give up so fast anon. Whats the problem with the OP? I bet a few edits could fix your issue with it and still keep its useful info thus pleasing both of you anons.

Hate this piece of shit game made from the butchered corpse of the original. Cyber Dragons because they are better and have more soul than anything in the modern format. Also, they are 8chan because of Infinity.
You know I was going to merge it but thinking about it I think Its fine to just have it like this.
>>917 Yeah we arent exactly hurting for room on the catalog. This works fine.
>>918 It'd be nice to have all the posts in a single thread though, i don't wanna be rude to the people who posted their irl decks in the first jew-gi-oh thread. Can someone please make a global post to merge them? I don't wanna fuck up again.
>>924 I mean I could do that but see, I kinda like the op of this one. Not to mention the first yugioh thread only has like 1 post in it. It does look rather sloppy though having 3 different threads for yugioh + the general card game thread. You know what fuck it, ill merge them all into this one. Probably a stupid idea but ill try it.
(3.30 MB 1810x2433 Shien.png)

>>925 It is done. This is your third reminder that Six samurai is best deck. Holy shit I never noticed he was smiling until I saw the full card art.
I was advised to spend only around 4k-6k on a special pack if i wanted to build a certain deck in it, i want to build traptrix and so far i've bought the 10 pack with guaranteed SR 3 times, then i crafted a myrmeleo and bought the pack gotten from it 1 time, it was also the 10 pack with guaranteed SR. I've gotten nothing but labrynth cards. I have around 1800 gems, i'll scrounge up the remaining 200 to buy the special pack 1 more time, and if i get even a single Sera and/or Rafflesia i'll buy it again and then stop, as i'll have spent exactly 6k gems on this (5 on the special, 1 on the normal traptrix pack) and i probably have enough dust to craft the important UR's and even SR's.
>>927 Well, i got nothing but dark world and magikey stuff this time, the UR extra deck monsters even. I'll buy another pack and call it a day.
>>927 Reminds me of the time I dropped 6-7k gems on the Runick/Labrynth pack when it was first in the store rotation 1 each of Lovely and Welcome, the two core cards of the deck, 5x of all the Runick cards. Funnily enough it was probably for the better, Runick has been serving me surprisingly well despite how much I hate it's "no battle phase" restriction and is poised to remain a meta contender for awhile, assuming the banlist plays nice with them.
Ok so i did end up spending the 6k on this shit, at least i got two holeutea's out of it. This is all i'm willing to drop on this shit though, i'll just dismantle the irrelevant SR and UR cards i got and complete the deck. >>929 I got 2 Lady and 1 Lovely (two princesses and 1 armored, can't remember which is which), one with a white finish/glow, which i'll be dismantling right now to craft my Sera's.
5k on dreaded conspiracy. 1k on mother nature's snare. Picked the 10-pack with guaranteed SR every single time, after dismantling all the unnecessary/unrelated cards, this is all i could afford. I only got two pudicas and 2 holeuteas out of the pack, but hey, royal sera. It looks ugly as sin, but this is the maximum rarity in MD, so it's ok. To me it feels like having a premium gold rare in real life, and i avoid that rarity like the plague. I need 270 UR dust just for THE staples: ash blossom, maxx c and infinite impermanence, and then i could cut a floodgate, a gravedigger's and either a terrifying, mantis or exceed for 3 dark ruler no more, which i use in my TCG deck. Not even gonna bother with the nibirus i use as well, i feel like maxx c takes his place.
I keep experimenting with my TCG shaddol invoked deck, either i'm shit at deck building, an awful player or this deck is really that slow. Not that i can do anything about it, most of the cards i need to improve it are getting reprinted soon, so it's a waste to buy them right now. Not that i can afford them since i've been living off of my savings for two months now, and i finally ran out of money to spend on frivolities, so i guess today i'll go look for a job. If i didn't have time/energy to post here often before then i definitely won't have it once i go back to wageslaving. I wish my country had NEETbux. Anyway, here's what i'm running, and the few changes i want to do. -I took out a spellbook of knowledge and added a nehshaddoll genius, originally i wanted to add a third squamata, but then i realized, what exactly am i going to "search" with it? Not to mention i need more elemental shaddolls to bring out apkallone, and genius' effects aren't half bad, either i make one of my dolls completely immune to effects but his own (wish it worked on any fusion instead, but i guess magical meltdown kind of grants immunity to my fusions already) or i negate the effects of an opponent's monster. -As soon as i get my hands on a copy of upstart goblin i'll take out either genius or another spellbook to add it. No idea why i never considered this card before. However if i take out a spellbook i might as well remove both and add something else instead, maybe a falco for the free body? Helshaddoll hollow or another wendi, since i need elemental shaddolls? Pot of avarice, since i end up having too many materials in GY while having nothing to use them with? Maybe even another schism, as it gets destroyed pretty often? -I'm not too sure on the extra deck, i feel like i have too many super poly targets and i've been in situations where i can fuse a shaddoll from either the hand or the GY, but i have no targets in the extra deck, so i'm thinking about cutting either dragostapellia or mudragon in favor of either another apkallone or construct. I'm definitely keeping elysium though, it's been extremely useful, no one expects me to super poly my own mechaba and an opposing boss monster to bring out this thing and either snipe another one of their boss monsters or just attack since it has 3200 ATK, and since his banish is a quick effect i can do it on their turn as soon as they're done summoning whatever, and my field is never empty thanks to schism. -Caliga has been useful exactly zero times, even if i bring it out in defense they just destroy/banish him with card/monster effects then proceed to run over my winda. If i end up taking him out i'll add both a construct and apkallone while keeping the super poly targets.
Am i really the only one posting here? I took my traptrix deck to locals this time, i brought my tin with staples as well because people don't mind you swapping cards after a match and essentially having an infinite side deck, i noticed a few things. -Mantis isn't needed at 3, being a searcher is good, but so are sera and pinguicula (technically), she doesn't have a special summon effect, so reviving her from the GY is pointless aside from the extra body, as she isn't the strongest level 4 either (to extend with allomerus then go for game). Bouncing a spell/trap from the field to the hand isn't relevant either, unless i'm running a certain card in the extra deck (i'll talk about it later). -I'm still not sure on whether to run 2 pinguicula or 1 pinguicula and 1 allomerus, i definitely need another "strong" traptrix monster to kill on my second turn, but that extra 300 ATK does make the difference, believe it or not, even with allomerus' effect (summon a level 4 insect/plant from the GY). For now i'm running one of each, if only because allomerus is my favorite of the entire archetype. -Every time i summon atypus, i tend not to have a single normal trap in the GY, unless i drew infinite impermanence and used it. Why is this you ask? Because i always summon dionaea off of sera and thus end up recycling whichever trap hole that was in there. and my opponent doesn't always trigger all of my set trap holes, not that i can have more than 1 every time i go first, unless i had them on the initial hand (not always a good thing). -It is exactly for this reason that i've decided to change my "backrow removal" monster from tornado dragon to knightmare phoenix. Dragon is easily summoned and can remove backrow during the opponent's turn due to it being a quick effect, it is OPT but i get two uses out of it. Phoenix on the other hand can pop a spell/trap on summon by discarding a card, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, i can dump a dead impermanence/holeutea/evenly or even a trap/spell i bounced back to the hand with mantis and meet the requirement for atypus' ATK boost, not to mention that if i summon it under sera i get to draw a card as well, and his arrows are actually useful (sera only points downwards, this thing points to the right as well). -I definitely need another strong monster. Sera, atypus and pinguicula, under atypus' ATK boost, can deal enough damage to kill in a single turn, but unless my opponent had an empty field or triggered my gravedigger's and burned himself for 2000 LP, those three aren't always enough. For now i'm running a borrelsword dragon, but i definitely need something better. -Accesscode talker. This is the card i need, but it needs a couple more pieces (masquerena and unicorn), and i don't really have space for them in the extra deck. I can summon it off of phoenix easily while still having an atypus/sera and pinguicula already on the field, but he would only boost to 4300 ATK and a have a single link in the GY for his destruction effect, which is doubly useful here since pinguicula can "absorb" it if it was a monster. -This brings me to my next point, is he even worth running if i can't do it "the proper way"? Masquerena into unicorn (who shuffles a face up card back into the deck by discarding one, and is free to do so since masquerena protects him) into accesscode grants him 5300 ATK and 2 pops, while masquerena into accesscode only grants him 4300 ATK and 1 pop, but also protection from card effects. My link climb only offers 4300 ATK and a single pop, which isn't that good considering that a 5300 ATK accesscode plus atypus is enough to kill, and i don't have to worry about backrow or even monsters in defense position, seeing as i'll have 3 link monsters (masquerena, unicorn and sera) in the GY to get rid of those (because somehow this isn't a OPT).
>>937 Hold up, i just read unicorn's effect and it isn't just face up cards he can target, it's any card that the opponent controls, meaning he can shuffle back to the deck monsters and spells/traps, even face down/set ones. This thing completely outclasses phoenix. Masquerena and unicorn i want the alt art with iblee on it are pretty cheap due to the recent reprint and maximum gold cards being unpopular, but accesscode, even the gold one, is still 30 goddamn dollars. Fuck i wish i wasn't a minimum wage loser AND currently unemployed.
Oh and i've got a tip for anyone who plays irl, i'm not saying you should stack your deck, but try to spread out/randomize your cards so you don't end up drawing 3 bricks. Have you guys ever seen a deck profile in youtube? Those guys keep their cards in a certain order and then do a basic shuffle to demonstrate an average 5-6 card hand, and they almost always draw shit hands, why is this? Because they don't randomize it beforehand, which is something you should always do, learn pile shuffling as well, it will save you a lot of headaches in the future. Another thing you should always do is cut your opponent's deck after he's done shuffling it, because it's almost a given that the fucker stacked it, it's incredibly easy to do so and it's obvious when they do it, because they don't present their deck after shuffling. If he shuffles the deck immediately after this, then just request to cut it again, he is not allowed to do it a third time because even the dumbest judge knows he's doing it because he's stacking his best cards. Feel free to call me paranoid if you want, but i've seen people stack the shit out of their deck and even "palm" it to draw 2 cards at once, even though it's supposed to be a friendly match with nothing on the line.
>>937 I am here I just dont really have anything to say about traptrix. Only time I ever play with plants is Synchro spam
>>940 Nothing to share about any other archetype either? I'm not a stranger to keeping alive threads in dead/unpopular boards with a few posts a week, but it's still a little sad. Whatever, i'm just gonna update my blog again, then. -Borrelsword surprisingly has won me a lot of games. Attack with redoer/pinguicula, attack with cularia/atypus, switch redoer/pinguicula into defense mode with borrelsword's quick effect, attack twice for game. It's just hard to remember to leave a space to the left/below the link zone, and that it needs effect monsters to be summoned, so holeutea isn't eligible. I messed up once and summoned him with holeutea anyway, my opponent didn't notice but i rectified it in the next match. -Evenly matched hasn't shown up even once to try and fix things when i get a shitty hand. I'm thinking of cutting it in favor of solemn judgment or torrential tribute. -Even with both tornado dragon and knightmare phoenix, my deck still folds to skill drain. Many decks do, but it's extremely frustrating when they flip that thing because i can't even switch to beatdown when it happens, none of my monsters have over 3000 ATK. It is for this reason that i will cut time-space trap hole in favor of harpie's feather duster, and from now on this thing will become another deck staple (i only have 3 decks, and two of them share the ash blossom and impermanence playsets i own). I've also had the opportunity to borrow cards and test certain engines, these are my thoughts. -Therion engine is great. A beatstick with an omni-negate and a potential 4 material zeus sounds nice on paper, but good lord is it hard to draw into it. Not worth it until everything gets reprinted. -Plant engine sucks. Aromaseraphy can leave you with a monster/trap negate every turn if you draw the right cards, but hyperyton's way of gaining materials for it is horribly slow. It's not worth it in the slightest. -Running adhara and naturia beast isn't a bad idea, as even the mill can be beneficial, too bad i can't exactly splash any other synchros in this deck.
>>942 I mean I dont really keep up with modern yu-gi-oh. So many things and combos to keep track of it just becomes a fucking mess. I really wish someone would make a card game that is like GX era yu-gi-oh. Only thing that I could share is that I fucking love synchro spamming. Synchro is by far the best mechanic that the game has and I love vomiting out like 4 samurais a turn and making Shi en. Tried going to a local to play my deck and got my shit wrecked consistently. Some guy told me I needed more generic warrior support, You got any recommendations for that?
>>943 No offense, but have you even played the game these days? Xyz and link are as easy to understand as synchro, pendulum was a shitshow but you don't really need to learn it, it hasn't been meta relevant since 2016 or so, very few people even like the mechanic enough to build a deck around it. I didn't even start playing the real life game until quite recently, iirc november 2022 when the traptrix structure deck got announced, before that i only watched the anime and played some the old games (forbidden memories, duelists of the roses, the sacred cards, reshef of destruction, tag force 1 to V special), and i too used to think "modern" yugioh was shit and hard to understand, but surprisingly it wasn't. I am aware the decks i play only make use of synchro, fusion, xyz and link summoning, but it took me around a week to understand everything perfectly, hardest thing to wrap my head around was link climbing, it didn't click until i saw someone summon zealandis off of apolousa without needing another material (both are link-4 and zealandis only needs a single effect monster to summon, so just another link-4 would do since a equivalent trade is allowed, technically you already used enough materials to summon a link-4, even though apollousa can be made with as little as 3 monsters), i always thought you absolutely needed to meet the link number requirement (ie link-1 needs 1 monster, link-3 needs 3, etc) and the link 3 and 4's with the "2/3+ effect monsters" text was meant to be read as "you can use only 2/3 monsters to summon them, but technically you can use as many as you want to gain more materials or meet the star requirement", you know, like with synchro and xyz summoning. Give it a try, you might end up liking the current meta, and even if you don't there's the edison format which goes up until the GX and early 5D's era. Unfortunately i don't, but the OP has a link to ygoprodeck, just copy some six samurai decks and test them out in EDO, then just cut and add cards until you end up with a build you like (or can afford lol). The only "warrior" deck i've tried before is sky striker, and it's not a typical warrior deck, it has its own cards and the only "generic" warrior support it uses is reinforcement of the army.
>>951 >No offense, but have you even played the game these days? Last time I played was at the start of Vrains which wasn't that lo- >Vrains was in 2019 Well shit. I didn't realize it had been that long since I got my ass handed to me. I guess I can try net decking once, Normally I wouldn't because Making your own deck is part of the fun but oh well.
>>952 Yeah, just go take a look at some meta decks, six samurai got support in 2017 i remember because fusion enforcers came out the same year and now it can slap borreload and herald of arc light in the extra deck for easy to make omni/spell and trap negates (plus any other good generic level 4 and 8 synchros) and apollousa who only requires 3+ monsters to summon and is also a useful monster negate. Nearly every single monster of yours is level 3 or 4 so you can slap some generic XYZ and links as well (zeus included), isolde is a warrior searcher and it can send a bamboo sword to the GY to special summon your tuner and do your synchro plays, you have level 1 and 2 tuners so you could go for trishula as well if you wanted. At a glance it looks like a pretty fun deck, but sadly it's not full power because gateway has been limited for 10 years now. Don't let that stop you though, i've been playing gimmick puppet and ice barrier on simulators as well even though they suck major dick, i've actually got a few cards irl if i ever wanted to build the deck, but i honestly feel lost and i feel like they're not worth it, one negation and it's over.
I built another deck IRL, i'll explain my ratios. >gimmick puppet Bisque special summons herself by discarding another puppet, so you always want to see her in your initial hand. Dreary can special summon herself from the GY by banishing another puppet, sadly it can only be used as material to special summon gimmick puppet monsters. Magnet special summons itself when the opponent controls a monster and you control a puppet, a brick if going first but pretty much every other puppet sucks. Terror can special summon a puppet from the GY when normal summoned, and in the GY it can remove itself to protect puppets from activated cards and effects, though only during that turn. Not completely dead going first if you have condolence puppet in hand, since you can turn terror and dreary into chimera, chimera can special summon whichever puppet it searched and dreary can remove terror to special summon herself. Too bad his revival effect only triggers when normal summoned, otherwise humpty would special summon him then he would special summon another puppet in the GY. Humpty summons another puppet from the hand when normal or special summoned. Condolence puppet is a better foolish burial if you went second, and even going first it can always dump dreary, i don't run foolish burial because this thing is outright better and it isn't limited, not to mention it can banish itself from the GY to give any machine (not just puppets) permanent immunity to destruction by card effects, so pretty much only battle destruction (most of your monsters have 3k), non-targeting, banish and other unconventional forms of removal can deal with it. The only downside it has is that it can't dump every copy of dreary doll at once. Junk puppet is just OPT monster reborn for puppets. Puppet parade ensures you're not getting OTK'd the turn you drew it and even sets a rank-up magic so you can recover next turn, but i've tested it at 3 and it's not very useful most of the time, since it can't summon the 3 dreary's at once. >everything else Gearspring spirit specials summons itself if there's a machine in the GY and he can lower the ATK of any monster to 0, useful for OTKs, his type and attribute are also very useful, more so than the other two monsters commonly ran in this deck (machina cannon and astral kuriboh), since both trade-in and allure can dump it for cost and chimera's machine lock doesn't fuck him over. Trade-in discards a level 8 to draw 2 cards, there's nothing to explain. Machine duplication summons 2 more copies of whichever machine it targets, though said machine has to have 500 ATK or less, the deck has exactly 3 targets, sadly gearspring cannot be normal summoned so it isn't eligible. If bisque had a 500/500 statline she'd be the best puppet of the archetype without question. Overlay network is something i'm trying out, and it seems like it's going to be a staple of the deck. You only drew bisque and another puppet? No worries, dump it with bisque, then use overlay network to target bisque and special summon it from the GY for a XYZ, the XYZ-related effect is useful as well, if you managed to summon a XYZ with say, bisque and gearspring, you can target the XYZ and recover gearspring to summon him again if there's a machine in the GY. It's a pity you can only use either effect once per turn, it should have been each effect once per turn IMO. Zexal construction searches rank-up spells, but it needs to shuffle a card back into the deck to do so, which isn't always bad (it can shuffle a dreary, machine duplication/trade-in duplicate or another zexal construction). Argent chaos force at 2 is essentially 3 copies, since it adds itself back to the hand when you XYZ summon, but it's only once per duel, it can also cheat out two unrelated monsters off of your level 8 and 9 XYZ puppets. Quick chaos is a quick-play, so you can push for OTKs (attack with all your XYZ puppets, rank-up a level 8 puppet into giant hunter/dark strings and attack again) or blow up your own chimera with dark strings to inflict 1500 LP and draw a card. Monster reborn is just for dingirsu, who blows up a card on special summon, i'd run 3 junk puppet if it weren't for him. >extra deck 2 chimeras, it's a searcher that can special summon puppets from the hand. 1 gigantes because funnily enough, it's hard to have two level 4's on the field at the same time, but his effect isn't bad, he can detach two to steal two monsters then tribute itself to turn them into level 8's. I run 1 grinder (detach 1 to destroy a special summoned monster, can be done twice), 2 strings (remove a material to place a counter on every face up monster, then blow it up on your next end phase), 2 giant hunter (detach 1 to blow up a card, any card, and inflict damage if it was a monster) and 1 dark strings (destroy whatever had a counter, draw 1 card if it did, then inflict damage if it was a monster, he can also place counters again but doesn't have a destruction effect like the base form so it's useless) because while i find grinder's upgraded form infinitely more useful than strings', the base form sucks and dark strings is only used to immediately blow up cards and inflict damage, then attack. Zombiestein, when i'm able to summon him, negates a monster and discards a puppet if i have one on hand. It also has a 4.5k body, which is insane considering this deck's win conditions (beating you over the head with 3k+ monsters and burning you to death). Titanic galaxy is a spell negate that absorbs the card and either protects weaker monsters by making himself the target, or boosts any other XYZ's attack (including itself) if another one of your XYZ got destroyed. Dingirsu offers non-targeting removal and it can protect a monster (including itself) from destruction by detaching 1, and it's not OPT, i run two currently because i wasn't able to find a certain other card. Zeus needs no explanation, non-targeting field wide unconventional (the card says "send", so GY effects don't trigger) removal, can be cheated out by simply battling with any XYZ then overlaying. Chaos dyson sphere is the boss monster of the deck. Offers non-targeting unconventional removal (it attaches whatever it battles) on top of having decent stats and a burn effect (that doesn't need you to detach anything, so it gets increasingly stronger). Summoning it is a bit hard (rank up a level 8, then argent chaos a level 9), but if you use condolence puppet's immunity on him then you essentially have a monster that can only be banished or bounced/shuffled/sent, nothing else can get rid of him. Neo galaxy eyes is the card i wasn't able to secure, but he's a 4.5k monster that negates the effects of all face up cards and prevents the opponent from activating cards or effects until the end of the turn. Short of negating his summon, negating the effect or having skill drain beforehand, he's gonna get his effect off and hopefully swing for game. And that's it, no ash, duster or impermanence, it's not worth it in the slightest. It managed an impressive 8 losses-2 wins record, which isn't surprising considering i faced marincess, witchcrafter, lair of darkness, cyber dragon, magistus, dinosaurs, ice barrier (this one gave an idea on what to run on mine), dark world, traptrix and lightsworn. Not bad at all for a deck i only built because i like a certain card in it.
>>956 >gimmick puppet. When I got back into Yu-gi-oh a few years ago I was so confused by high level monsters that were just there to be summoned. I forget when exactly I came back but before playing tag force special I hadn't played ygo since like 2005.
>>956 By the way, if you want to play I can just throw a deck together right now.
>>957 Even back then there were high level monster that special summoned themselves to the field for free, like cyber dragon and the envoys. >>958 Sure thing, EDO? You got any way to contact you besides this board? I think i've got a matrix account i used on /v/ for the movie nights.
>>959 Yeah, My matrix account is Felbot. Currently in a duel with another guy but ill join whatever server you're in once I am done.
>>960 Said duel is done now. Got my ass handed to me. ill just make a room with the Password "Hatechan". come join me.
>>959 Wait it's not called matrix, it's called element.
>>962 Dont worry, I knew what you we're talking about. I think it used to be called matrix at some point.
>>961 Can't find you, what's your username?
>>959 >like cyber dragon and the envoys. Yeah but the Cyber dragons I understood. You got a high level beatstick for free. Like most gimmick puppets have pretty bad attack.
Thanks for the duels bruv, gonna post an analysis/breakdown of my ice barrier deck next.
well fuck
I don't even know what i fucking clicked this time, but i deleted my whole post, i don't have anything else to do so here's the deck profile, again. Sorry for taking so long, but job hunting takes a lot of my free time. >Ice Barrier 3 Speaker of the Ice Barrier, an extender (summons herself to the field if there's another ice barrier in it) that can also summon a level 1 token by banishing herself from the GY, useful in almost every situation. I'm a huge lolicon so i'm thinking of building this deck irl just for her, fun fact she appears in a lot of cards and archetypes (she's been part of the gusto, gishki, shaddoll, evigishki and nekroz), but no one knows the exact order, it gets complicated after she grows up. The most likely order is gusto>gishki>fused into neremainas to fight in the war>corrupted into evigishki mind augus>killed in battle and corrupted by the shaddoll into naelshaddoll ariel (much like el construct, the base form is first shown as the corpse being enveloped by hands, then turned into a puppet) then shaddoll apkallone>revived then purified into gishki ariel>part of the nekroz, who borrow the power of the ice barrier dragons. 3 Revealer of the Ice Barrier, pretty much the heart of the deck as she brings out a tuner by discarding something from hand, so a free brionac at worst. Her GY effect lets her banish herself whenever you need to pay for the cost of an ice barrier card, so brionac can bounce cards without having anything on hand. 2 Hexa Spirit of the Ice Barrier, a level 1 tuner that can banish another tuner to copy it's level, he's the best tuner in the entire deck for this reason alone, so i've considered using three but so far he works fine at two, since revealer can summon it from the deck. 2 Defender of the Ice Barrier, a level 3 tuner with a nice effect that isn't relevant, as his only use is synchro summoning, i carry two in case i have to send one to the GY with hexa. 2 Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier, a level 2 tuner with a shitty effect, same deal as defender. I could run 2 prior as well, but that guy is a brick through and through. 3 Medallion of the Ice Barrier. Searches any ice barrier monster from the deck and it isn't once per turn, so i run as many copies as i can. >Non-archetype 3 Icejade Ran Aegirine. The absolute best card of the deck, a one card combo with a negligible cost (discard a water monster to special summon her, then she special summons a level 3 token) that synchro summons a 3k monster with an effect that protects your monsters from destruction and banish from card effects, it's a quick effect and if you chain said effect to any of your opponent's card effects, you get to banish said card and any other copies of it in the field and/or GY, and as if that wasn't enough she special summons herself to the field whenever she's in the GY and another monster of yours gets banished. Being a level 7 tuner without restriction that summons a level 3 token means you can make either aegirine or trishula zero with her body (level 3 token, level 1 token, aegirine), she's also easily searchable with ice barrier and every single "recycle" card i run can fetch her from the GY, it's insane how good she is in this deck, she almost makes me want to build icejades. 2 Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju, kaijus can use an opponent's monster as tribute to special summon themselves to their field, and this guy is the weakest one so he's easy to beat over/destroy, ice barrier can search it so there's no need to run more than two. 2 Silent Sea Nettle, special summons itself from the hand if there's another water monster in the field, but locks you into water monsters, every single card in the deck is water attribute so it isn't even a restriction. Its GY effect is also nice, lets you recycle up to 3 water monsters by banishing itself. 2 Silent Angler, same deal as nettle but this one prevents you from doing any more special summons from the hand, again this isn't a restriction so long as you summon him last. 2 Moray of Greed, shuffles two water monsters back into the deck to draw 3 cards, potentially fixing a shitty hand. 2 Salvage, adds two water monsters with 1500 ATK or less (ie everything but revealer and gameciel) from the GY to your hand, recycles resources and lets you combo it with moray of greed. 2 Surface, special summons a tuner from the deck to the GY, so sending them there with hexa isn't really a downside. 2 Cosmic Cyclone, because this deck has no other real way of dealing with backrow, skill drain is also a staple in my locals so i always run outs to it. 1 Harpie's Feather Duster, same deal as cyclone. 1 Monster Reborn, the name is self explanatory. 3 Ice Barrier, the second best card in the deck, whenever you or the opponent declares an attack, you can reduce his monster's ATK to zero, negate his attack and prevent it from switching position, and as soon as ice barrier hits the GY you can banish it to send a level 5 or higher water monster (aegirine or gameciel) from your deck to the GY to add ANY water monster in the GY to the hand, including the one your just sent, you could also just recycle any XYZ, link or synchro, the only downside it has is being once per turn. 3 Gozen Match, a bullshit floodgate that can fuck over even decks that only run archetype cards (branded, sky striker), i feel dirty running a card like this but ice barrier is a shit deck that needs all the help it can get >Extra Deck 2 Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier, banishes 3 cards on summon and when it dies by battle or card effect it summons the original with 3300 ATK, negates the effects of every opposing face up monster and cuts their ATK in half. Not that hard to summon, pays off when you do. 2 Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, banishes 1 card from hand, field and GY when synchro summoned, i run 2 copies because sometimes there's better cards to recycle with ice barrier. 1 Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, bounces as many cards as you want by discarding the same amount. 2 Icejade Gymir Aegirine, the free-est synchro of the deck despite being the best. 1 Abyss Dweller, stops decks that abuse the GY and boosts the ATK of water monsters by 500. 1 Silent Honor Ark. Detach two to absorb a boss monster, then detach it to protect one of your monsters including itself. 1 Number 4: Stealth Kragen. Turns everything into water, then destroys a water monster and burns for half their ATK, it's a quick effect so you can do it once per turn. If it gets destroyed you get to summon kragen spawn. 1 Stealth Kragen Spawn. Also destroys a water monster, but can't turn everything into water, you can still pop your own gameciel though. When it gets destroyed it can summon back number 4, but i almost always use it for a link. 1 Bahamut Shark. Detaches one to summon toadally, the frog can recycle itself so if it didn't get killed you can do it again next turn. 1 Toadally Awesome. Omni-negate that can tribute even itself for cost then steal the card it negated, it also recycles itself or any other water monster, so no need to run more than 1 unless i run a frog package. 1 Marincess Coral Anemone, decent stats for a link-2 and instantly revives a monster with 1500 or less ATK (again, everything but revealer and gameciel), so if you can get another monster out you can immediately summon zealandis. 1 Worldsea Dragon Zealandis, banishes everything in the field, then re-summons it in face down position, so they can't apply their effects. It can also destroy monsters if co-linked, but i only run one other link and she's what i use to climb to it. If blue slug were generic i'd run her to recycle coral anemone and make use of zealandis' other effect, but sadly an ice barrier marincess deck is just marincess with enough stuff for trishula. Pretty awful deck, but much like gimmick puppet it's fun when i don't brick. If i can get my hands on three structure decks i'll build the deck irl for sure.
I messed up, what ice barrier does is reduce attack to zero, negate its EFFECTS and prevent it from switching positions, it basically renders that monster unusable, so the card is way better than i made it sound, and if i ran general wayne i could also search it off of him despite not actually being an archetype card, but it's not worth running the brick. Have some aegirine rape as an apology.
New Yubel support card reveal by YGOrganization. Support fixes most of Yubels flaws with searches, special summons, and even has a Grinder Golem that while lacking in tokens restores life points and acts as easy damage fodder.
>>978 >>979 Haven't played in forever do you think these cards are enough to make Yubel decks playable now?
>>980 They should be more consistent at the very least considering Yubel has multiple searchers and means of being special summoned now.
>>978 >>979 They seem pretty good to me. I dont play Yubel at all but Samsara seems to have a pretty funny effect. On a side note I really wish effects in yugioh were laid out like they are in the translations. Just effect 1-4, Thank you, Makes it so much easier to read.
>>980 >>981 >>982 Hopefully they don't end up being relevant at all, i don't want super poly limited or banned again, it's one of the few things keeping my shitty shaddoll deck on life support.
>>983 Wait a minute. Super poly isn't banned? When the fuck did that happen?
>>984 >Wait a minute. Super poly isn't banned? When the fuck did that happen? Powercreep happened. Superpoly is less of a board stopper and more of a nuance especially since graveyard recursion is pretty much the norm with other various forms of non destruction removal and floodgates like Dark Ruler No more, Lighting Storm, and Kaiju's in general. Here's another fun card that got unbanned, Harpies Feather duster but it's limited to one copy.
>>911 >leave thread for 1 month >thread pic is irrelevant DM era >90 posts >op now is 2021 pasta from /v/irgin who hate trans I want my swamp back
>>986 So what can we do to improve the OP? Another question is why is it there's so much support for older non-meta archetypes now a days? It's been a thing for years now but I'm impressed at how there's so much love for older archetypes that go from non even fun at casual games, to having a chance at being rogue, and to outright meta such as Neo-Spacians, Thunder Dragons, Crystal Beast.
>>986 Didn't think you would come back. Also i thought the other newer op was better and didn't want to have multiple yugioh threads. Sorry about this. >>987 Money. They might be non-meta but every legacy archetype supported is probably going to get some guy to buy more packs to remind himself of his youth. Hell it worked on me, I bought a bunch of six samurai mostly due to nostalgia.
>>984 It got off the list in 2018, and since most archetypes use DARK monsters you can use it as a sort of board breaker by fusing into a starving venom (generic, big body that nukes the field when it leaves), mudragon (slightly less generic, offers protection from card effects) or garura (better than the other two, it specifically fuses cards from the same archetype, effectively has 3000 ATK and it lets you draw a card if you ram it into something or if it gets destroyed by card effects). Believe it or not there's worse cards out there, to the point that even rogue/low tier decks that can afford the space don't run it. >>986 >who hate trans Who doesn't? And your swamp is still there, even i, the /v/irgin, don't post that often. >>987 Because people ask for it, every couple months konami japan makes a survey and people vote for their favorite archetypes to get support, the winner gets a structure deck while the top 5 get a couple cards scattered across several booster sets. But sometimes there's no fixing an archetype, crystal beasts still can't do anything, dark magician and blue-eyes are annoying but if they brick in their initial hand (which they do, around 70% of the time) there is no coming back, charmers will probably will never be a legitimate threat, red-eyes will be a total meme as long as they associate the gemini cards to it, etc.
>>990 >Red-eyes I really wish they would just abandon gemini. Just focus on the equips, That part of red-eyes works perfectly fine last I checked. Much more fitting for Joey as well.
The 2023 tin comes out in two weeks and it seems they're reprinting a lot of good stuff, no one was expecting POTE cards but surprisingly they included that set. I need quem, cartesia and garura for my shaddoll deck unfortunately i already bought both apollousa and zealandis, and i'm seriously considering trading a few cards i no longer need for a borreload savage as well, and so far 2 of them got reprints, hopefully quem also gets one because it's the most expensive one at $25. I'm also hoping for accesscode to get a reprint in ultra, because it's a necessity in my traptrix deck and i'm not willing to pay $30 for a copy. I'm not saying avramaxx and borreload are bad, but they're not what i need to end games by turn 2. There's also rasterliger (which i still use in my shaddoll magistus deck), but he has no protection, his attack boost isn't as impressive (i summon it off of selene, so he only gets 3850 ATK) and his destruction effect requires me to tribute a monster (and his arrows need to point at it to do so, which i forget sometimes).
Well, it looks like the tin was a complete disappointment. If i wanted, i could add a therion engine to my traptrix deck since regulus, lily and discolosseum got reprinted. A 3-slot omni-negate sounds nice, but since each card is ran at 1 i probably will never draw it. I'd rather put that money towards an accesscode talker. Cartesia is probably going to drop to $5-$10 like aluber did, so i'll buy one ASAP. Garura hopefully will drop to $10, any deck that runs super poly wants one now that it's bound to be cheap, seeing how generic and useful it is. This thing is going to replace mudragon on my shaddoll deck from now on.

>>1007 It is not, this is just the yearly tin with reprints, the 25th anniversary product was the silver box with the three egyptian gods, the three DM aces, a random quarter century card and the old booster reprints, which was also pretty lackluster.
>>1009 I see. That makes way more sense. >the 25th anniversary product was the silver box with the three egyptian gods, the three DM aces, a random quarter century card and the old booster reprints, which was also pretty lackluster. That's not a whole lot.

(2.57 MB 1920x1080 v2.png)

All i'm missing from this list now is quem, who dropped in price a bit, so i might buy her ASAP, there's just one little problem with the deck as a whole: it has no consistency at all. If i don't draw aleister and shadow's light then it's no different from running my old shaddoll invoked deck (a gimped version since i don't have access to purgatrio or caliga), meaning 50% of the pieces on it are wasted. It is for this reason that i have started buying dogmatika cards not just what i need, i want to try out invoked dogmatika as well, since they give the deck a massive boost in speed. Nadir servant alone can fetch me schism without having to run gravity controller, and being able to dump n'tss or garura for an immediate pop/draw is something i can't do otherwise. Ecclesia is a LIGHT body so there's no real reason to run 3 veiler anymore. Fleurdelis is also LIGHT and gives me a negate as long as she's on the field with ecclesia. Punishment has a pretty harsh drawback, but sometimes i need it to do my plays. Granguignol sends shit to the GY (ideally apkallone, titaniklad or n'tss) and Titaniklad generates resources at the end of the turn. Unfortunately adding all this means cutting most of the shaddoll stuff, almost completely if i want to (the 3 shaddoll fusions aren't doing much, seeing as i can set up plays with schism alone), and i don't feel too comfortable about doing that. For now i'll just test out this build on sims, and if i like it i'll buy the quem, ecclesia's and nadir's i need.
(2.58 MB 1920x1080 v3.png)

Unfortunately most of the shaddoll stuff ends up being unnecessary, so i've cut a lot of things including wendi, my favorite card in the archetype in favor of dogmatika cards and duality. Duality is a quick play spell (VERY important) that tributes a LIGHT or DARK monster to special summon another from the hand or extra deck with the same level and type, but opposing attribute. This means that if i draw one in my initial hand i can dump titaniklad to the GY with nadir, leave a half-decent board, special summon fleurdelis at the end of the turn with titaniklad's effect and then use a set duality to tribute her and summon dragoon, who is a better mechaba (at least during the opponent's turn, since he has protection, better stats, and his omni-negate doesn't require a specific kind of card to activate). And as if that wasn't good enough, i can recycle any LIGHT or DARK card in the GY on top of drawing 1 card by banishing it. Whoever designed this card was insane, this thing also lets me have access to destroyer phoenix enforcer in my "pure" shaddoll deck by simply tributing an envoy of the beginning instead of running 3 fusion destiny, 1 celestial and 1 dasher. Dragoon also frees up a spot in the extra deck, meaning i can replace apollousa with accesscode talker, which gives me a better shot at ending games by turn 2. The only issue is that dragoon is $20 while duality is $10, and i need 3 of the later.
>>1016 >Whoever designed this card was insane, Was it designed by the TCG by any chance? They love making blatantly OP bullshit last I checked.

turn 2 nuts. Sonic birb search herald ritual, RS using WItch in hand and Djinn in gy. the other deck also open Djinn. I should've put Herald in defense, opp search Theo and suicide into my Herald.
>order a few cards from TCGplayer using a proxy service (they don't ship to my country) >said proxy service has nothing but good reviews, so i trust them >buy apollousa, borreload, zealantis and granguignol ($25 total with shipping, cheaper than buying in a local store since the synchro alone alone goes for $15), it'll take a week for them to arrive to my doorstep >proxy service receives the package only three days after purchase, but informs me that a employee "accidentally" sold them in their physical store >the 4 cards went up in price a couple days after i purchased them >they want me to purchase them again, i'm not getting a refund by the way, they want me to send them another $10 and wait >threaten them not only with a bad review, but exposing their shitty practices and incompetence on r*ddit and tw*tter >they panic because they're the biggest proxy service in my country and even a total nobody could damage their business (both sites are famous for blowing shit out of proportion) >they offer to send me the cards ASAP at no added cost >they actually do (took them another 3 days), but they didn't send them in a top loader or even a sleeve, they all came inside a fucking envelope >apollousa was damaged, but not in a way that could've been caused by improper packaging it's like someone tried to sleeve the card, inserted it the wrong way and accidentally raised one corner, i know because i've damaged a few cards in this exact same way lmao >contact them immediately, they apologize profusely and offer to send me a new copy, but i have to pay shipping costs and since they don't have the MAMA one in stock they want to send me the either the ugly MAGO one (the one with thick golden borders) or the MP20 ultra (the one with the bear) >tell them to go fuck themselves and leave a terrible review anyway After this shitshow i wasn't missing a lot of cards, so i actually turned to local stores for the rest. Ecclesia and nadir servant were sadly way overpriced ($1.77 and $5.69 respectively on TCGplayer, every local store wants $6 for the girl and $10 for the spell), so i didn't buy them. I might buy a DABL cartesia alongside quem and garura (which no one had in stock) because the print quality on these tins was horrible; a bunch of ultras were off-center and the prismatic secrets weren't as shiny as previous megatins (prismatic secret rare is supposed to be way shinier than secret rare, because konami thought it'd be funny to make them look like chinese bootlegs). I also bought a couple more things unrelated to this deck: -2 duel overload boosters and a oversized dark magician girl card for $6, which netted me the two most sought after cards in that set (both of which are banned). -A single 2021 megatin booster ($4), which had a zeus inside. I honestly wasn't expecting much out of this thing, i pretty much only bought it because i had $4 to spare and i wasn't in need of a pack of sleeves. I can get a cool $17 for it if i decide to sell it. -A single BLMR pack ($3), which had a masquerena inside it, sadly it's not worth a lot. Sorry for the shit quality by the way, the camera on my rooted pixel isn't the same as a stock one, even with the modified original app (i use open camera).
>>1043 >Sell customers stuff >ask them to buy another one. That is either incompetence or fraud. Should have threatened with a charge back at that point. Why did you get that oversised dark magician girl though?
>>1044 Last time i did a charge back it took 6 months for my bank to return the money and i got banned off the site (it was a ebay rip-off). But yes, i would have exposed their incompetence and bad faith if i actually had a tw*tter/r*ddit account, since it's obvious they kept my cards to resell; granguignol doubled in price (the tins got leaked and it didn't get a reprint, so the price increased to $10, these days it goes for $15) and they sent me the cards on a simple envelope because they were mad they had to sell me everything at a loss. >Why did you get that oversised dark magician girl though? I've stuck to singles and structure decks since the very beginning and i wanted to open a few boosters just for fun, so i got me a couple of them and a oversized DMG card just to hang on my wall or cum on it, as you can see it paid off. I don't believe halqifibrax is ever coming out of jail, but verte just might, and when it does i'll be splashing DPE on my deck. Dragoon i can bring out with duality, plus you don't want to lock yourself with red-eyes fusion, so this is a better way of summoning him, funnily enough.
>>1047 >I don't believe halqifibrax is ever coming out of jail Hey that is the guy who got every single good tuner banned. I hope he never comes back.
Damn dude, why is every deck right now hyper cancer to play against? I can't get a good turn in without dealing with a septic tank of shit full of effect negations, anti-draw, super-searching, multi-link, necromancy fueled rage cards, and a heaping pile of "nope, it's my turn now" I want to also scum and play maXXX C-Pad and assblassum, but I just really want to play my deck instead of relying on obvious and what feels like unnecessarily busted cards to pad out a deck that functions fine without it. I also don't understand how it's possible that every game I play, I am playing against someone who has one of their 3 copies of either one or both of those cards, even if they are playing 40 cards; starting hand is 5, they have about a .075 shot of drawing any of either, each, .005625 they'd get one of each in their hand, unless my math is way off. I just have to fucking pray to god that the people I'm playing against aren't going to waste my fucking time with 30 hour turns that somehow don't run out the clock? I think I wouldn't mind as much if they just swung more frequently, but everyone is so fucking afraid to just take a swing when they've probably won because of combo autism or some idea that their victory hasn't been 100% assured, despite having 8000+ damage on the field, zero blocks, and effects that will allow swings twice.
>>1058 Such is life with power creep anon. Unfortunately for everyone, Card games just draw out the biggest try hards.
>>1059 I don't think I'd have as much of a problem with it if special summoning for all decks actually cost something, but most times even really mid level decks seem to shit monsters onto the field 7 times per turn.
Genex got some new support especially a one card link monster that allows you to constantly normal summon a Genex monster from the hand every time you search for a Genex monster. It's pretty much a massive boon in improving Genex search and consistency play. There's another new link monster for nurse burn shenanigans. Based on Sobek's blessing, third pic related.
>>1064 Genex domination soon.

Blogposts incoming I bought a cheap dinosaur deck a couple weeks ago and i've been testing it out both in locals and EDO, it's pretty fun even if you don't play it at full power 3 ground xeno, 1-2 xeno meteorus, 0-1 transcendosaurus meteorus, 1 megazowler, 3 pot of prosperity, 1 transcendosaurus gigantozowler, 1 S:P little knight and 1 baronne de fleur, all for around $350, mind you that i bought my deck for $10 and only had to add another $10 or so worth of singles to get it up and running, though not having access to ground xeno and pot of prosperity really slows it down. These are the variants i tried: >dinosaur pure Slow and bricky as shit, even with the 3 pot of extravagance i borrowed. No real end goal besides turboing out UCT, 3-4 material apollousa and evolzar laggia, who you can't even safely turn into zeus because his spell/trap negate needs you to detach the two materials and it's very likely he'll just get ran over. >dinosaur scrap Doesn't brick as often and gives access to borreload savage plus however many generic level 8 synchros you want, still not what i'd consider good. >dinosaur scrap + naturia beast package Same shit as above, but you add nemeses keystone, gallant granite and naturia beast to it, which really helps the deck out (it even recycles miscellanosaurus and ensures you have a monster in hand to tribute with UCT no matter what), but you need to open 2 specific cards in hand in order to get the combo going (which is absurdly easy, even though one of those cards is limited). With just a miscellanosaurus/fossil dig and a babycerasaurus/another fossil dig in hand you can end turn with a 2 negate borreload savage/psy-framelord omega, 3 negate apollousa, naturia beast and UCT. This is the variant that has seen the most success in locals despite it's relative complexity (i have to keep looping baby, do the scrap combo, then do the naturia beast combo and finish with the borreload and apollousa combos), as it can end turn with at least two negators and UCT unless you brick extremely hard,we're talking nothing but staples and both UCT's. >dinosaur shaddoll I've heard of the 60 card grass pile deck before, but with the card banned it doesn't really work. Destroying shaddolls in hand with archosaur does trigger their effects, but i get brick hands 90% of the time, though it may just be me not knowing how to build them. In my opinion all it has going for it is a cool going second tech: -Activate shaddoll fusion to send overtex qoatlus and shaddoll beast/dragon to the GY -Summon el shaddoll winda (to the link zone so you can turn her into gravity controller if need be) -Fetch a double evolution pill from the deck and draw 1/destroy a spell or trap -Activate double evolution pill to send the two monsters you have in GY and summon UCT The end result is one board breaker and one floodgate off of 1 card. It's not very good though, if you open one of your bricks (overtex, beast/dragon) you're SOL, and if you're gonna run 3 fusion spells plus two bricks you may as well splash DPE or dragoon instead. There's also another build i also tried, but that one did take me a while to come up with, so i want to explain it in its own post.

>>1083 >dinosaur invoked This started out as a joke build seeing as my dinosaur shaddoll build failed miserably, but after a lot of testing in EDO i actually got some results that i want to share with everyone, if only to encourage people to try their hand at deck building, as it's both satisfying and fun. It's basically just the dinosaur scrap naturia deck with the invoked engine shoved into it (3 aleister, 3 meltdown, 2 invocation, 1 terraforming, 1 artemis, 1 invoker of madness) because you can actually bring out every fusion turn 1 but elysium (unless you run a powerful generic link-2, and i can only think of 1), cocytus (sucks), raidjinn and purgatrio (UCT can cover for both). First of all, the naturia beast combo, which only needs babycerasaurus and miscellanosaurus in hand, this is what inspired me to find a combo of my own. Now for the actual build, every deck runs these ED cards in order to minimize sacking, as my ideal combo needs three exact cards in hand (babycerasaurus/petiteranodon/fossil dig, miscellanosaurus/another fossil dig and aleister/meltdown/terraforming): -1 dolkka, 1 laggia, 1 scrap wyvern, 1 mechaba, 1 caliga, 1 augoeides, 1 invoker of madness, 1 naturia beast, 1 gallant granite, 1 borreload savage, 1 linkuriboh, 1 artemis, 1 apollousa The other 2 cards depend on your budget: -$3: 1 unicorn, either 1 avramaxx (hard to get rid of) or 1 unchained abomination (can destroy a card in every end phase and whenever augoeides does) -$30+: 1 unicorn, 1 accesscode -$100+: 1 elysium, 1 S:P little knight And the end result is: -$3: UCT, augoeides, 4.1k borreload with 3 omni negates and either avramaxx or unchained abomination -$30+: UCT, augoeides, 3.9k borreload with 2 omni negates and a 5.3k accesscode with artemis and unicorn in the GY (it's possible to have a 4.1k borreload alongside a 5.3k accesscode with my build, but you need to run 3 invocation and open babycerasaurus/petiteranodon, miscellanosaurus, aleister and invocation) -$100+: UCT, elysium, S:P little knight and a 3.9k borreload with 2 omni negates, if you don't like elysium feel free to replace it with unicorn, this way the end result is UCT, augoeides, S:P little knight and a 4.1k borreload with 3 omni negates (there's no way to get an elysium alongside a 4.1k borreload unless you run 3 invocation, 2 mechaba, elysium, unicorn, S:P little knight, then go second AND open the same hand as the one mentioned above) I won't say this build is the definitive one, but i'm pretty comfortable with it. Obviously this is all subject to change since ground xeno and baronne could drastically change everything.

Fun fact, Lara and Winda can serve as either part of the materials needed for the fusions, meaning you can summon them with just the two girls, so people are making fanart of it.
>>1089 >The 4 archetypes featured in terminal world are supposed to get alt arts, right? Do we have the other ones yet? Not yet from what I know Void Imagination, an infernoid card has one.
It's been a month already, so i'm back with the results of my dino invoked deck. It's shit, i never opened the ideal hand, so my combos never went farther than "summon mechaba, pass" or "summon UCT, often the hard way, pass", as expected of someone who picked up a new deck, tried to mix it with a deck he already knows, and then clumsily tried to play both at the same time. For this week i decided to flat out drop the invoked part and just focus on dinosaurs, i learned a lot from more experienced players and from just testing random hands in EDO, for example: >linkuriboh and secure gardna are an absolute necessity >generic level 8 synchros aren't worth it, it's better to fill it with staples or R4NK >the deck has a lot of 2-card combos, several of which end up on apollousa/avramaxx, borreload, naturia and UCT >true king package (1-2 lithosagym and 1 diagram) which i disregarded completely before, is actually a very important part of the deck, as both cards can trigger any baby/petit on hand >lost world and scrap raptor alone can end on borreload, apollousa/avramaxx and UCT To be honest i'm liking this deck a lot more than i thought i would, but i'm still not sure if i should spend more than a few dollars on it. I'm definitely adding the true king package though, maybe i'll even replace the doodle beast package with the dinomorphia one since it's just as cheap and rexterm is free if i drew lost world on top of my ideal 2-card combo: >do the usual dino scrap naturia lines >when wyvern has to pop a card, instead of popping baby to bring out petit, i target the token instead >replace the token with petit >petit summons therizia >therizia sets frenzy >go through the entire combo right until it's time to go for avramaxx (apollousa doesn't get her full 3-4 negates due to lost world) >since i have an extra body in the form of therizia, i can xyz summon emeral (or dugares, but emeral can recycle 3 cards, and if i drew the other therizia i absolutely need to send one back to the deck) to draw a card >if need be, summon unicorn first with wyvern and gallant, then avramaxx with unicorn and emeral >end on avramaxx, borreload with 2-3 counters, naturia beast, UCT and frenzy >use my negates wisely >if the opponent still manages to play past them, i flip frenzy to send therizia and kentregina to the GY and summon rexterm >rexterm is a 3k ATK skill drain that summons another egg token to their field (if they didn't get rid of lost world first) Unfortunately if i were to use rexterm as UCT's tribute i can't bring back kentregina from the GY since she wasn't special summoned properly, not that it'd be worth it since she'd just be a 2k effectless monster. I wanted to replace avramaxx with linkmail archfiend too, but a ton of decks have no way to get rid of him and lost world offers better protection (targeting from card effects as opposed to just targeting from monster effects, and archfiend only protects ED monsters). Pic attached is what i took to locals today, though the dinomorphia, true king and pots were borrowed.

(3.30 MB 1920x1080 drillygnathus.png)

I had horrible luck last saturday; i drew both therizias a lot, didn't draw a true king card even once and a lot of my hands were nothing but spell cards and babies (the level 2 ones), but i was so stubborn i kept all those bricks instead of adding actually useful cards like ash, imperm, called and duster simply because i wanted to see how rexterm would fare against other decks and witness first hand how it feels to rip 3 cards out of someone's extra deck. It never happened, however i did learn a lot more about dinos. I've been sleeping a lot on xeno meteorus, even without ground xeno it can still carry its own weight, even if that means adding 3-4 potential bricks in the deck (2-3 xeno, 1 frostosaurus). As for how it's useful, it's basically a free body whenever you draw it, but it's not just apollousa fodder, he can actually do some very important things: -If they stopped my combo early (ash on wyvern) i can simply pop the baby with xeno, and i get level 4 and a level 6 out of it, this locks me into four monster types, but i can still end turn on either wyvern, UCT, dolkka/laggia and solda/lars, or wyvern, UCT, borreload with a single counter and solda/lars. Not terribly impressive, but not bad in the slightest. -Being a level 6 tuner makes him able to summon baronne with any level 4 if i didn't lock myself that is, and baronne in turn can shuffle herself back into the deck after using her negate to bring out xeno meteorus or any other level 9 or lower monster, like a baby/petit or even pankratops. -The scrap raptor+lost world combo that ended in laggia/dolkka/borreload, 2-3 negate apollousa/avramaxx and UCT? If i drew xeno as well i can add a lars/solda to it. Something else i learned is that giving borreload more than 2 counters is basically useless, he never needs more than 2, he sometimes doesn't even get to spend those 2. So i replaced unicorn with masquerena, as an avramaxx summoned off her can become nigh indestructible, very few decks can deal with this thing without running kaijus. It's a shame that the transcendosaurus cards are mediocre despite looking awesome, being retrains of old dinosaur cards and having a cool playstyle (they're basically complements to the tried-and-true dino scrap combo and good tributes for UCT). -Gigantozowler isn't half bad for OTK'ing and doing big brain plays (summon it on your turn to recycle a petit, end turn, destroy it with UCT, summon it back with its own effect to pop an opponent's card and your own petit to summon pankratops, then recycle another dino), but for that you need to either hard draw frostosaurus, have a very specific hand (any combination of your 2 card combo, ground xeno and either another baby or fossil dig) or lock yourself for the turn, and 9 times out of 10 you're better off summoning baronne or lars instead. -Glaciasaurus is probably the second worst one, battle protection doesn't mean shit these days, and if you destroy it then summon it back it gains total immunity to being targeted and destroyed by card effects, but it's just a 3.6k ATK nigh unbeatable beatstick. -Drillygnathus is an interesting card, dealing piercing damage as long as it has no materials is a nod to the old days of using pentestag to do the same with UCT probably? the traptrix structure had a nod to H.A.T., but the other effect is weird, basically the card wants to be a beatstick and extender that doesn't need you to summon rex at the end of the scrap combo (there's no space in the board for him to come back when banished anyway), as it can summon misc with his effect, this means you can run the dinomorphia package over the naturia one and end in pic related, which is insane. What's the issue with this? It also needs the aforementioned specific hand. And there's no guarantee he'll make it to the next turn for you to make use of the piercing effect, and you can't hold off on summoning it because it's a trigger effect. -Exaraptor was really close to being good, and i'm talking good enough for you to lock yourself early since he special summons from hand and lets you draw a card just by going through the motions, but his arrows just had to point to the sides and upwards instead of downwards. Summoning it on your turn, destroying it then summoning it back does allow you to finally put his effects to good use (since he doesn't have to be summoned to the link zone), but being basically unusable in the first turn makes him the absolute worst one. It could have been the extra deck extender/boss monster that dinosaurs desperately need, and konami just said no way fag. See the pics attached for the boards that gigantozowler and drillygnathus can theoretically put out, lets hope they fix this archetype in the future because it has a lot of potential.

Turned out Deformer is a good synchro7 spam engine. I hate yusei so I won’t use that gather light for free pop 1 each 2 turns though. AG Devil is the only one who can attack through player1 stall. P1 have Meluseek ready to picking up p2 board but that C&D redirect attack to Microscope. Clausolas ready to destroy it by battle, but ancient battle trap. I believe p2 might be out of deck next turn but manage to win effect damage.

Thanks to these 2 new cards, dinosaurs now have two ways to (almost) completely lock the opponent out of using spell cards, or if you don't want to use a floodgate you can also just set lost world directly from the deck. They also give budget builds like mine access to shorter combos that still end in UCT and at least one negate (evolzar lars in this case), and to cards like baronne and gigantozowler without having to spend $100 on a ground xeno playset. Watch the videos attached to see how the new combos work, it's nothing like the old scrap combo, but it's much, much shorter and has a similar payoff while having essentially no chokepoint besides miscellaneosaurus banishing itself in the GY, the secret village line also has the benefit of summoning a pankratops for absolutely free by destroying gigantozowler with UCT, and if dharc gets destroyed he adds an oviraptor to hand. Lastly there's this other combo which makes use of both the scrap and naturia packages, is longer and ends in... another kind of all-negate board. I wouldn't say it's better than the old one, seeing as baronne is single use (apollousa gets two negates even with lost world active), but if both her and cross sheep survive the turn it has this cool interaction where you can shuffle her back to the ED, summon horned saurus from the GY and then summon scrap raptor off cross sheep's effect to synchro into baronne again (or summon borrelsword/accesscode). If you don't need borreload savage OR you don't want to run 3 scrap raptor you can do a few things with cross sheep and those 2 extra bodies, like summon apollousa, dolkka, laggia or abyss dweller, you can also summon frostosaurus off the second petit to summon gigantozowler. Horned saurus isn't just a level 6 that sets a field spell from the deck by the way, his other effect gives you another normal summon, which will be more useful once a worthwhile link-2/link-3 comes out (you can technically summon BLS soldier of chaos with this combo, but it specifically requires you to both run 3 scrap raptor and open 1 of them every single time, and BLS isn't quite a "towers" type of monster like avramaxx is) or little knight gets cheaper (she only needs 2 monsters, unlike masquerena which specifies non-links). It's a decent "no fun allowed" endboard, but it has even more chokepoints than regular dino scrap, so you're just asking for the opponent to ash/impermanence your shit. Not posting a deck profile this time, i haven't taken the deck to locals yet, so i'm still not sure if dharc and gigantozowler are taking gallant and naturia's spots. Giant rex has definitely been replaced however, even if you don't run polymerization he does the exact same thing ie summon itself when banished.
Generic Card type support incoming. Fungi's a Thunder's card in all but name, Pendulum's Diabellestar support that's somewhat serviceable but nothing too noteworthy, DPA Jeanne d'moore's got viability in Mathmech and is pretty good overall for any cyberse archetype that can tech synchros, Phoboscobos is a generic negate for illusions if nothing else, and the last card's a gimick that could serve as an option for Rikka and sunvine but it's a link -5 but that's about it so far.
With the new gimmick puppet support coming next year, i won't be buying any more cards for it, the way it plays now is radically different from before. It's actually a great deck now, either it FTK's you right away or nearly kills you then waits for you to special summon something big to finish burning you to death, this is not only incredibly consistent, but also very safe due to all the protection it gets from the field and terror baby. And your opponent can't even break your board with generic stuff, it has to be either spells, evenly (and you can run regulus for that, the gimmick puppet lock is for the extra deck only), or XYZ monsters. >you opened the field or terraforming Congrats, you can FTK safely. If you get handtrapped (only possible with droll, veiler and imperm) you can go for the double dark strings or dark strings+disaster leo instead. >you opened soldiers You're vulnerable to ash, but if you manage to get terror baby in the GY you can still pull off the FTK safely. And you run 3 bisque doll, 3 condolence puppet and 1 foolish burial exactly for that. Even if kevin jewart rarity bumps or shortprints the fuck out of the support, you bet your ass i will be playing it, i'm literally the only guy at my lgs who even knew the deck existed until the new support got announced, and now everyone rushed to buy playsets in anticipation (bisque doll, condolence puppet and chimera doll were the top 3 most sold cards in both tcgplayer and cardmarket for a while), luckily i had everything already, but i missed my chance to foil it out. Forgive me for rambling, but this is a dream come true, whoever made the support overtuned the hell out of it because it's insanely good and fits the user (IV) like a glove. -Gimmick puppet was (and is) incredibly xenophobic, now you no longer want even the generic machine, rank 8 or XYZ stuff. -It relied on opening any combination of bisque/humpty/dreary/machine dupe/gearspring spirit, now it has 6 one card starters (bloody doll, soldiers, mansion, condolence puppet, terraforming, foolish burial). -The deck was all about going second, breaking boards and swinging for game with 5k+ beatsticks, if that wasn't enough you still had regulus and zeus to survive another turn. Now it burns you to death no matter what. -In the anime IV was a sadistic man who charmed people into lowering their guards so he could torture their monsters, he eventually redeemed himself and this lead to some of the most goated duels in all of ZEXAL, but his goal always remained the same, giving their opponent a show (which he called fanservice). The field references this by looking like a normal mansion, dreary doll even reaches out to you with a smile, but if you enter it you get fanserviced to death. -The new XYZ monsters are literally IV, wild hair and all, fantasix depicts his iconic pose and recycles argent chaos force (a card his brother made and that he indeed recycled twice), fanatix can summon monsters (from either GY) to the opponent's field so he can torture them just like he did in the anime with baby face and giant grinder. And their stats reference his name (1500 ATK/DEF and 3100 DEF/ATK, I and V and 3+1, get it?) -The new trap depicts his 2v1 duel. -Disaster leo's massive 4k burn got nerfed in the card game, but his alternate win condition (end the turn when your opponent has 2000 LP or less to win) is now not only possible, but the second best way to win if you get handtrapped. I genuinely can't believe this is real, it wouldn't be the first time i wake up, turn on my computer and find out one of my favorite archetypes got new support, only to wake up for real and find out it was all a dream it has happened many, many times before, the most recent being 2 months ago with nemleria, the dream falls apart the moment i try to actually read the cards to gauge how good the support is.

I can't believe this thread is deader than the one in cuckchan's /tg/. Did your decks survive the banlist? My dinosaurs didn't, right now i'm coping with 1 less petit, max copies of archosaur, raptor and lost world, and almiraj over linkuriboh, but the deck just feels brickier, i might have to shelve it until we get a ground xeno reprint. Banning baronne and borreload savage shortly after making them affordable was a complete dick move however, i understand that no generic negates means a higher chance to actually break a board with a board breaker, but if they were going to do something so drastic they should have gone nuclear and banned apollousa as well, snake-eyes wasn't even running synchro shit anymore and linkuriboh's loss just meant one less interaction, they can still send their pooplar to grave with anima. Not sure what i should play now, probably shaddoll? I've already got my invoked stuff, the dogmatika cards i'm missing (ecclesia and nadir) are much cheaper now, so it'd just be a matter of grabbing those and maybe a millennium eyes restrict.
>>1185 >Not sure what i should play now, probably shaddoll? What's your strategy? >spoiler Anon this board has had less than 1200 posts in a few years, I'm not sure what you were expecting.
Any wrong ruling that’s been poisoning your mind for years? For me at first I thought monster revived/summoned by Tour Guide/Motivating Captain/Debris Dragon can use their eff again in gy. Then for years somehow I thought they are still negated. Only this week after watching MD replies that I questioned it. Probably in past I look up for something related to https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Wicked_Rebirth where monster revived by it can use their eff again even when they left field. Or maybe I conflate it with effect that got Veilered but move zone?

>>1186 I was going to play a standard shaddoll invoked dogmatika deck (with 3 super poly and targets for it), but it's incredibly slow these days so i thought about finally building the zombie synchro deck i've always wanted to try irl, guess which archetype (series?) got support last week? And it's really good too, instead of fusing garura with ghost fusion i just fuse the new card and get an extra normal summon instead of a draw, which is better because my build relies on 2-card combos (ze amin alone is full combo technically, but i don't want to normal it, which is why i run emergency teleport at 3). I really should have bought it when it was cheap. I'm eyeing a chimera deck now, i can get a basic core for $30-ish (everything but the fusion that handrips, see pic related) and i'll just buy proxies for everything else, i could just proxy the entire deck but funnily enough making a quality proxy of a sub-$5 card is more expensive than buying a legit one. If guardian chimera ends up being cheap enough i'll buy the reprint instead. I'm not the best at deck building but i've been testing this out for quite a bit and it's pretty solid, i'm not used to 1 card combos so it's weird seeing my coatl/mirror get handtrapped and still have ways to get to a full board. The deck is so consistent i don't need draw power at all, so i replaced the 3 prosperity i run in pretty much every deck with 3 nibiru since very few decks can get out a monster/omni negate before the 5th summon. Once we get the INFO cards i'll be able to link off any two monsters into the illusion link to have a special summon negate (azurune) on the opponent's turn on top of floodgating them with barrier statue. The illusion xyz is also amazing (quick effect targeted negate+monster steal if it battles) but getting two level 4's on the field is ironically pretty hard to do in this deck. I'm honestly liking it so much i want to build it in master duel as well, i have a shitty labrynth deck i've used only like 5 times ready to dismantle, 3k gems i had 8k but i spent 5k in the horus pack for absolutely no reason, none of my decks benefit from it, good thing i got something like 16 URs out of it and 300+ UR dust, if i finish both events i can scrounge up another 2k so i'll spend those 5k in the chimera pack and craft the rest.

(244.59 KB 926x679 a.i. love fusion.jpg)

Behold my newest creation, albaz invoked dogmatika shaddoll or A.I.D.S. for short, it's a fusion pile that doesn't have a specific game plan, your end board depends entirely on your hand, if you draw ALL of the good cards you must choose which ones to resolve (branded fusion locks into fusion, so no aleister into artemis, no cross-sheep and no apollousa), sadly you can't just shit out all your boss monsters. I don't go above 40 cards because i genuinely can't. >could add 3 super poly but i only run 1 target that i might need to send with nadir because it's all i can do, making it a completely dead card >need every single extra deck piece, so no prosperity >gambling with allure can completely fuck me over >spellbook of knowledge is just bad >only a few hand traps and no board breakers because the deck bricks a lot >no shaddoll fusion because i don't need to fuse anything shaddoll besides winda (with schism) >no triple tactics talent because drawing into certain cards (quem or cartesia) is a death sentence So what boards can this monster put out? >aleister pass >meltdown pass >ecclesia pass >squamata pass >wendi pass >empty board pass >mechaba >dragoon >mirrorjade >maximus and schism with granguignol in GY (can summon luluwalilith) >mechaba and dragoon >mechaba and mirrorjade >dragoon and caliga >apollousa, mechaba, raidjin and schism with granguignol in GY Most of the time i get ash'd on meltdown or terraforming, but to be fair those are also deliberate hand trap magnets, otherwise i would've cut aleister and invocation to 1. This might seem like a random list, but it actually has some thought put into it, those 2 nibiru are there as crossout targets and because the deck bricks a lot on spells (or just gets hand trapped), so passing on a empty board with the rock and another hand trap in hand is not a bad play. I don't play a fusion substitute like hex-sealed because if i'm gonna summon dragoon i might as well get the full effect. If i had s:p little knight i would absolutely cut raidjin (and every single shaddoll card but schism, apkallone and winda) to add her, but it's a $100+ card so fuck that. This is still a work in progress, i own most of the cards in this list, but quem (and probably luluwalilith) won't be cheap until next month, so for now this is only seeing play in EDO. Sadly the deck is a total brick fest only really fit for the "fun" table at locals, but to be fair it's not like i'm expecting a lot out of it, i'm mostly playing it for the name after all.
>>1210 Man I can never figure out modern yu-gi-oh decks. Its like I can almost understand some individual cards but I can never reason out which ones go together. Even harder to reason out why they go together. Can you just like give me a breakdown of what you're summoning and why?

>>1210 After a bit of testing i decided to cut ecclesia in favor of foolish burial, i only ran her because she's a stone wall of sorts if i only have nadir, but they always just ash my spell and i'm left with an empty field anyways, i'd rather have the option to send whatever i need to the grave. >>1211 It's a fusion pile, most of the stuff here has synergy in the sense that only 2 cards (nadir servant and branded fusion) lock you into or out of fusions. Here's a basic combo with aleister the invoker and branded fusion: >normal summon aleister, add invocation >link him away for artemis OR just leave him there (depends on which monsters you want to summon, mechaba and mirrorjade or mechaba and dragoon) >branded fusion sends albaz and dark magician from deck/hand to grave to fuse lubellion (if you have either or both in hand, send one and keep the other to pay the discard cost of lubellion, it needs albaz and a DARK monster so you can send squamata and trigger his effect) >lubellion fuses by shuffling cards from banish, grave and field back to the deck, you can fuse mirrorjade or dragoon >if you want mechaba and dragoon you need to fuse albaz and dark magician into dragoon, then aleister and lubellion into mechaba (because you locked yourself out of links, and lubellion conveniently is a LIGHT monster) >if you want mechaba and mirrorjade you link aleister into artemis at the start of the combo, then fuse lubellion and albaz into mirrorjade Again, most of the combos depend entirely on your hand, so assuming i didn't brick on spells i never go for the usual boss monster, this is what i love about jank decks like these, there isn't a optimal way to play them.

New ban list.
>>1218 Some thoughts. >apollousa This kills a fuckton of low tier decks, there is literally no good replacement going first outside of i:p into unicorn/s:p, but i:p is also on the chopping block and once s:p becomes affordable she will be next. >beatrice I completely understand why she was banned, but it sucks that i didn't get to build my zombie deck before she got the boot. >calamity Good riddance. >lacrima >opening Real hits? What the fuck is this? >snake-eye Literally doesn't matter, and it'll be even more of a meme hit once we get azamina. >gimmick puppet >prosperity That was to be expected, GP simply doesn't allow you to play before it kills you and prosperity is just too good. I'm surprised they didn't limit crossout too. >branded fusion Damn, that's another card i didn't even get to test at locals. >skill drain Fucking finally, literally no one likes playing against stun. I have no idea what to play now, apollousa and prosperity were very important to my dinosaurs and there's no good replacement for either. Before the RC reprints i used to run avramaxx, but a towers isn't what this deck needs so i guess i'll have to drop the deck for now, but the only other competitive deck i own is gimmick puppet, which also got hit. I was cooking this >>1210 pile of shit but even that isn't viable anymore. I guess it's time to go back to traptrix.

I'm shelving gimmick puppet until the horus reprints or fiendish knight come out. I can still do the FTK, but doing so without the field spell means i need a 2-card combo while being even more vulnerable to handtraps than before. The deck was a total meme before the hits, now it's genuinely bad. It was good while it lasted i guess.

I finally had some free time to go buy the cards i needed to finish my shaddoll deck, i didn't realize it was pointless until after i bought them. Turns out apollousa was important to this deck, as shaddoll's sole negate honestly sucks (it has a real cost!) and the bodies this specific build can put out can't really be used for anything else. Still, this is what i came up with. The ideal combo goes like this (2 card combo by the way): >normal summon aleister, add invocation >target it with shadow's light, summon quem from deck, quem dumps cartesia >link aleister into artemis, which summons cartesia with quem's second effect >link artemis and quem into cross-sheep >fuse mechaba by banishing aleister and artemis, but don't summon it to any of sheep's arrows (i do this because he comes out on exactly the 5th special summon, which matters because nibiru is a thing), summon it right below the extra zone you're using (VERY IMPORTANT) >banish shadow's light to get another normal summon for a LIGHT/DARK monster, use invocation's GY effect to return aleister to hand >normal summon aleister and add invocation, again >use cartesia's quick effect to fuse granguignol to one of sheep's arrows using aleister and herself >dump apkallone with granguignol's effect, add schism with apkallone's GY effect This is where the 3 squamata's come up, if you drew one you can use it as apkallone's discard cost to then send beast from deck and draw a card while keeping 3 shaddolls in grave, if you didn't then toss whatever, but the end board will be weaker. >sheep's effect summons quem/cartesia from GY If there were any good generic synchro 12 monsters that only needed 1 tuner besides luluwalilith (which i run, but will summon with granguignol's GY effect) i would go for a different combo, but for now this is the best i can come up with. The deck sadly does not vomit enough bodies to go for riskier plays to end up with gryphon, mechaba, chaos angel, caliga and winda (i'm one body short in fact). >sheep + aleister + quem = gryphon >fuse caliga using aleister and squamata/beast (only if you drew squamata) >set schism, pass >shotgun schism to summon winda banishing apkallone and squamata/beast/aleister Knightmare gryphon locks EVERYONE out of activating the effects of special summoned monsters unless they're linked to it, but here's the thing, mechaba is linked and both winda and caliga don't activate their effects, they're continuous. The opponent can normal summon whatever, wherever, and trigger its effect, but his first special summon will have to be right on top of gryphon or it'll get negated. But even if he triggers its effect it'll either get negated + banished by mechaba then floodgated by winda/caliga or just floodgated by winda/caliga. The board gets dismantled by any board breaker, sure, but if the opponent doesn't run any or just doesn't draw them then they might as well scoop. Floodgates are gay as all fuck, but this is genuinely the best i could come up with not that the previous build's end board (3 negate apollousa, mechaba, winda and caliga) was any better and the deck sucks to begin with, both quem and cartesia are bricks and any handtrap will fuck me over unless i also draw crossout, i'm not too keen on running super poly either, it helps going second but it's a total brick going first. Luckily i'll have two whole days to test this out at locals.
I just now read the newest OCG banlist and the responses from TCG players and well... I HATE THE TCG PLAYERBASE I HATE THE TCG PLAYERBASE I HATE THE TCG PLAYERBASE Please tell me I'm not alone in thinking the hardcore TCG competitive scene is cancer that cannot honestly debate the state of the game without forcing their opinions and biases on everyone. Reading any debate featuring Maxx C is rage inducing to me at this point.
>>1232 Western fanbase being cancer? No that is completely normal.
>>1231 After a lot of testing at locals i figured out that my first build doesn't really work. >dragon and ecclesia are just taking up valuable space, dragon's effect only works going second, if i happen to open ecclesia + aleister i can't do the usual combo (i need to run almiraj and secure gardna to summon mechaba off of them, then add maximus with ecclesia, banish almiraj and toss both apkallone and titaniklad) and i never want to add her with nadir servant, not even if i run punishment as well (i need to swing for game by turn 2-3, which is impossible if i use punishment) >the 1-of nibiru never comes up even as a crossout target, i always have mechaba out before or right on the 5th special summon >over committing with gryphon and caliga isn't worth it, lots of resources spent that can be easily dealt with by absolutely any board breaker >since i run 3 super poly, elysium ends up being a better target than mudragon, and his quick effect can end games as he can target himself and banish the opponent's entire board since he's considered to be all attributes at once (here's the ruling https://db.ygoresources.com/qa#20237) The lack of apollousa hurts the viability of this deck a lot, but i still have options. Gryphon was a total meme and accesscode is only good going second, but i remembered i had this link-4 that gives monsters summoned from the extra deck protection from monster effects, and he can banish extra deck monsters from the GY to protect himself. It's not as good as negate girl, but he's a decent towers of sorts. I almost never summon raidjin, but he's significantly more useful than caliga since he has a decent effect and stats (swinging for game after my third turn became impossible sometimes with caliga, which is also why i'm running monster reborn, seeing as dogmatika punishment is also unsearchable without ecclesia), but technically i could just run another mechaba as my GY is full of LIGHTs, however if i want to be greedy i can summon him turn one as well and end turn with linkmail archfiend, mechaba, raidjin and schism set. This is how the deck is going to look like from now on, as i think this is the most consistent it'll ever be. There's no other changes i'd want to make unless they print a better generic link-4, give shaddoll/invoked more support, or free either apollousa, savage or elf.
>>1237 Never mind, i actually did have to make some changes to this build, once again i tested it a lot in locals and lot more situations came up. >nadir is dead past turn 1 if i only run fleur and maximus >if i run ecclesia i have to run punishment in case i open ecclesia and 4 bricks/handtraps >foolish burial essentially does nothing unless i run a bigger shaddoll package ie fusion spells and all >2 super poly targets aren't enough, and i never had the chance to use it (i couldn't pay the discard cost) This is a meme build with no real consistency, so i thought i might as well go full retard and add even more fucking bricks to it. Mechaba/ecclesia/maximus pass is all i can do 90% of the time, but when i open my 3 card combo (aleister/meltdown/terraforming, shadow's light and squamata/beast/hedgehog) i can put out a relatively strong endboard. Now to explain this schizo pile: >hedgehog is essentially another copy of squamata and beast (2 beast is brick city, i can't run 4-5 squamata sadly) >ariel is a brick for incarnation plays >monster reborn is honestly a [FREE SLOT], but it can come up sometimes since i only run 1-ofs in the extra >caliga is back because this new ideal endboard ends in either raidjin or him >fleur and titaniklad are out because i couldn't justify their space in the deck (dumping apkallone and granguignol with maximus is essentially the same thing, and granguignol does get summoned in certain lines so he's essential) >lulu is also back because she gets summoned off of granguignol's GY effect >dragite (RIP savage) is there because i can actually have a WATER monster in the GY for his backrow negate >linkmail archfiend is more or less the best generic link-4 i can run (RIP apollousa), and he protects my fusions/synchros from being targeted by monster effects I don't think i'll be making more changes for the time being, the deck sucks and there's nothing i can do about it.

SUDA-JP049 Hikarinaki Kage A=Bao A Qu | A-Bao A Qu, the Lightless Shadow LINK-4 DARK Fiend/Link/Effect 2800 ATK | Arrows: Left, Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right, Right 2+ monsters, including a Fiend monster You can only use the 1st and 2nd effect of this card’s name each once per turn. (1) During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can discard 1 card to activate 1 of these effects; ● Destroy 1 card on the field. ● Banish this card (until the End Phase), and if you do, Special Summon 1 LIGHT or DARK monster from your GY. (2) During your Standby Phase: You can draw cards equal to the number of different Types among the monsters in your GY, then place the same number of cards from your hand on the bottom of the Deck in any order.
It fucking happened, KONMAI actually reprinted s:p little knight this year, twice at that, which is going to tank the price of this card. I know they didn't do it out of the goodness of their heart (jews lack them after all), so this means she's getting banned next year, however this won't stop me from buying the cheapest print available and making the most out of it i still have my baronne in storage, which lets me make a few modifications to my deck. First of all i changed the shaddoll ratios again, i'm unemployed right now so i've had a lot of time to play, and i realized after a week of thorough testing that hedgehog and beast were bricks through and through, whereas both wendi and squamata can get me to my ideal endboard assuming i opened aleister/meltdown/terraforming and shadow's light. This cuts the number of bricks to just 3 (quem, cartesia and ariel) and technically lets me get rid of granguignol for another level 8 synchro or even a link, but sometimes i open aleister, shadow's light and ecclesia/fleur/maximus/veiler, which only lets me summon granguignol to dump garura for a draw and continue my plays. The endboard is significantly weaker, but it DOES play under nibiru, as mechaba comes out on exactly the 5th summon. >why don't you toss apkallone/titaniklad, retard? No point on doing so, i won't have the needed materials in GY to summon winda off of schism. Titaniklad will add fleur and she will be able to be summoned just fine with her own effect, but won't negate a monster as luluwalilith isn't considered a dogmatika monster. Since i always synchro luluwalilith if i can, i briefly considered cutting something in favor of proskenion since the payoff is good (for example, it can banish promethean princess), but this time i legitimately need every single card in the extra KONMAI please increase the limit to 20. The invoked side only had a single change: caliga is now gone, not because it's a bad card, but my board is meant to interact with the opponent (mechaba, luluwalilith and dragite negate, s:p banishes then winda floodgates) and caliga restricts me to 1 effect per turn, plus i almost never get the chance to summon it alongside winda for a total lock. Dogmatika punishment is gone, i kept ecclesia as an extra nadir target so the card won't be useless past turn 1, but even if she adds the trap i won't have anything to toss from the extra to pop, otherwise it'd be in place of monster reborn. Fleur came back because opening nadir, and only nadir, means i have to go for maximus and use it to toss titaniklad (who's also back) and apkallone. Linkmail archfiend was pure cope to be honest, now that s:p is (going to be) cheap i can toss her in every single deck i own and call it a day, but even after she gets v& i'll still have >>1239 as a choice, sure she will need two slots (closed moon and her), but IMO it's worth it. Here's hoping they don't rarity bump and short print it of fucking course they will, waifu tax+actually a decent card+jewart's greed means she'll be a $50+ secret. Will this be the final revision to this deck? Probably not, but i can proudly say that every single engine both works on its own and in tandem with each other, it's no longer "if i can't pull out this specific combo, which requires this specific hand, i scoop" like a lot of petdecks i've seen on ygoprodeck and youtube. The only truly bad hands i can think of would be 5 handtraps or 3 wendi, 1 ariel and another useless card like monster reborn/shadow's light.
