Gonna be honest, the main reason I recently came here and made the new thread was to get away from cancer like cuckchan, /tv/, /cow/ and various assorted shitters that shat up /animu/ as of late, even recently invading one of the last quality anime-focused threads on that board and shitting it up. I just want a place to discuss anime/manga without having to deal with a flood of bad actors posting baits, derails, shit stirrings, general cancer that stifles discussion, etc that goes unmoderated. What I want to know is whether such obvious shitstirring faggots will get cleaned up in a reasonably timely fashion or not and if the BO/mods actually exist for here, since I have little interest in using a board where it's just a repeat of /animu/'s existing problems but with less activity and users. Already reported such fags in question for reference.

Here's some (good) news: A summary of last month since taking over as volunteer (and effectively a de facto board owner), the board has gotten a 50% increase in total posts. We went from 1250~ to over 1800+ in the span of a single month, which is pretty huge for what was essentially a dead board before. We are also now consistently showing up in the top boards much more often than not. (By the way, if you want to always see /a/ on the board bar, click the star shape next to the board title, it acts like a "bookmark" for the board.) 4 new banners were added, feel free to suggest and make more by the way. Lots of new threads have been made, around 20 in fact, and some older threads have been getting new surges of activity and otherwise consistent activity. Unfortunately I have no concrete stats about PPH and UIDs, but generally it seems to be double digits for the latter, and around normal-ish numbers for the former (as in, normal for a webring anime board in current year, more or less at certain times). For what this board is, that's pretty impressive, though its not a competition or anything. Feel free to shill the board to people who might be interested.

The rate of board growth is increasing; again, its not a competition, but with regards to webring boards comparisons, at our high points we can be between 70-90% of their userbase in terms of UIDs already, and our PPH can match and exceed them at times. We aren't fully there at their consistency levels yet in terms of round-the-clock, 24/7 activity, but we at least have respectable spurts of activity and we have enough consistency to survive and possibly thrive. I've merged some threads and deleted some old spam threads; if someone wants me to clean up more of the catalog, just report the threads in question. I'll make another, more detailed update next month (2 weeks) and see where we are, but I'm positive about the direction of the board.

We have just about doubled the total post count on the board, so that's pretty good. Last week or so has been pretty slow imo and users have been erratic, but I've been busy as of late with school starting up again so its to be expected. In just 2 months we had more activity than this board has had in its entire history. Overall I feel pretty good about this. I'll likely try to talk to the administration in the next few days and see if he's amenable to transferring the board ownership over to me now, and about changing the board to NSFW and some other things I'll try to get around to.

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE I finally own the board properly now as the full-fledged board owner. The board was also changed to NSFW now if I'm correct, so yeah. There was an old thread (existed before I took over) that was recently reported because it was a discord server advertisement. It seemed they cared specifically about a manga, they had some scans of it, and recently some manga panels were posted in the thread. I personally didn't really care about its existence, but do anons feel that such things are worth deleting? If so, I'll delete them when they are reported and make it a board policy.
