There's no excuse anymore. I'm still in the beginner stages, but I've come along well so far. Slowly and slowly I am beginning to comprehend more. Surely, at times I feel lazy and want to give up, but I keep on going because I know the alternative is reading pozzed mistranslations. The anger that I feel from my hobby being desecrated by bad actors fuels me to learn more. Learning another language also makes one feel more sophisticated. I think what helped fueled me recently was the Bridget fiasco. All that rage and drama was due to translators purposely changing the translation and deviating it from the original script because they want to spread their ideology. From a little investigating on my end with my little knowledge of Japanese as well as the help of a translator, it turns out Bridget is not apart of the LGBTQ in Japan, and is still considered an otonoko. Learning kanji first may help with recognition a bit, but kanji can have a multitude of different readings. Learning kanji through RTK method is like learning English from Latin and Greek roots.
