>>679366 Yeah but the culture changes, the current "truth" is a just a blip in the grand scheme of things, nothing remains a status quo and as relevant as it may seem now, you'll see how different companies profit (or not) depending on who manages them next and how their business decisions based on controversy affect them. The ones that go overboard and cater to a volatile part of society that cares too much about hot button topics never really do well in the grand scheme of things. There's always a level of consumer awareness companies need, and I'm not saying that in the lefty way, but in the general way to understand what the majority are looking for, which is a solid product and not divisive politics, especially if they're only offering a few, or a single few services. Needlessly making black/white statements is very immature and causes panic on those with weaker psyches, which is what 8/pol/ has conditioned itself to do under imkamfys time as mod. I see it as unnecessary and emotionally driven, and doesn't do anything but give a kneejerk reaction. The thread you're quoting is clearly made in hyperbole by the way, it's anons giving overblown kneejerk reactions to speculation and not anything that's real, and I'm saying that because I know that's the attitude you genuinely want from people here, but you're not going to make anons genuinelly despair most the time without coming off across as shitting it up on purpose for the sake of trolling or d&c like our current niggerpill(ers) does.
>>215931 You're the one posting dicks here, not me.

Of all things you could get obsessed with you chose to be obsessed with some stains you decided that they were cumstains. It couldn't possibly be sugar, a milkshake or any other greasy shit because Mark is a fat fuck. Then you complain /v/ is gay. Because of these disgusting things you can't even get a boyfriend, anon.

>>215973 How good was that movie?
>>215982 Are you even aware how shit KiwiFarms is? No, considering they seem to be (somewhat) on the same page as us concerning trannies, censorship, politics, and so on. Don't know why people brand the site as some off-kilter Resetera.
>>215991 >>I vaguely remember some drama about the 8chan replacement not working, I still don't get the hate You're talking about InfinityNext. Where, because of the /a/utist Meido-bot DDOSing the site, Jim paid Josh to develop an updated version of h8chan that wouldn't have these issues. Everyone was so excited for the prospect that users donated loads of money towards the project. However, after months of stalling, the project was never completed and Moon ran off with all of the money. This all happened back in 2015/2016.
>>216003 Even without subtitles, the movie's superb. Philippe Lacheau really did an amazing job staying true to the motif of City Hunter. It was so good that even the mangaka himself, Tsukasa Hojo and the voice of Ryo Saeba himself, Akira Kamiya loved it. I wish it would have English subtitles though.
>>216004 >considering they seem to be (somewhat) on the same page as us concerning trannies, censorship, politics, and so on Yeah, and they're so "pro-free speech" that they led a crusade against SadPanda.
>>216005 Didn't he funnel that money into the creation of kiwifarts?
>>216008 No, Kiwifarms already existed even before h8chan.
>>216007 Didn't that get caught in the crossfire by accident due to going after ATF because some dipshit insisted that they had porn of actual young humans (fuck the wordfilters) based on next to nothing? From what I've seen he got banned for his autism and the ATF thread has been dead for years. Not that anyone ever apologized for that fracas.
>>216006 Thank god, I was afraid they would fuck it up.
>>215965 > I was just listening to Josh from kiwifarms on the Nick Rekieta show and he seems like a pretty reasonable guy, why do we hate him again? Josh tried to code up the next version of 8chan. He did a shit job and it sucked. It's not unusual for an IT project to fail, but people hate him personally for it. Kiwi is full of troons like every other site on the internet. People hate Josh personally for it. Josh was targeted for shutdown by state sponsored trolls who got his mom fired from her job. One of them tried to hijack Gamergate and got a few people to go along until KiA banned him. I'm sure that they have trolls in these threads pushing for overreaction.
>>679505 >I don't recall hearing anything about Josh or anyone else taking the money and running back in 2015. The project started in 2015, AFAIK. The extent of my knowledge is hearsay from afterwards as I arrived back in 2017. >>216010 >Didn't that get caught in the crossfire by accident due to going after ATF because some dipshit insisted that they had porn of actual young humans (fuck the wordfilters) based on next to nothing? As I understand it, that's standard operating procedure for the forum. As there was even some e-celeb bloodsports war that they started over some offhand comment that someone made in a several hour long livestream, and kept trying to get these threads involved, to which everyone collectively told them to piss off.
>>216011 Philippe Lacheau is a big City Hunter fan, so he respects the original material very much. So much so that he have to bulk up himself to make sure he's as close as to Ryo Saebra's physique and he made sure that the casting to play as the main characters will look like they're straight from the manga. Hell, look at Umibozu's actor in the movie, he might not look huge but he was very close to the original character. That's why I love it, compare to the garbage that Netflix does, saying they "respect" the original material while saying that they will "right the wrongdoings" of the series they want to destroy.
>>216012 Because he lied and if he was honest about fucking up people would've liked him but he wouldn't of been hated as he is, while Jim is a fucking idiot he was right to call Josh on being incompetent.
>>216015 wouldn't
All you fucking newfags spinning new stories out of hearsay and rumors, this is why history needs to be documented correctly, otherwise ten different versions with varying facts pop up. Josh(null) was hired by hotwheels to make infinitynext (don't know how). He was donated money by anons to progress on it. The project was slow, buggy, and due to Josh's tendency to namefag and respond to EVERY post on the progress thread, he was mocked incessantly. He mocked, banned and was a general asshole towards all. People joked about him trying to run away with all funds. When the beta was migrated it was still slow, and barely an improvement over current 8ch. Josh claimed the code was fine, people who donated got mad, everyone got mad, and after months infinitynext really became infinitynever. Years later it was found that /a/'s meido bot which checked for duplicate shit was basically ddosing the server with extremely high amounts of checks, which was one of the main reasons for 8ch's and infinity's slow performance. Here's where my rumors start - it was due to infinity's failure, all the bitching, and the money given by Hotwheels that he decided to leave ownership to Jim. It's possible that if meido bot's shit was detected earlier, infinity would've ran fine. Josh was kicked by Jim and he took the money (I think it was around $10k, dunno how much was left after infinity) and went to make 16chan based on infinity. And then sometime later he acquired cwcki forums(kiwifarms) Now post your rumors and hearsays. Don't care about liking/disliking josh. Neither should you

>>216021 You don't go to prison in Japan for gay shit, otherwise the jap prisons would be gayer than the US Navy with all the trap hentai produced.
>>216013 A lot of disliking kiwifarms is crossover from not liking /cow/ because they're nearly identical. They hate loli, love IBS and are obsessed with ecelebs. Pretty sure they dislike gg too.

>>215943 >INSHALLAH, FOR VIDYA You know that means "for vidya, as long as Allah wills it", right? It's an out for suddenly and viciously murdering the shit out of vidya at an opportune time, generally because vidya either isn't muslim or just because you want to take vidya's stuff. Also, any vidya depicting human beings is haram and needs to be destroyed. >>215979 I'd have gone with melty frosting, like on a hot cinnamon bun from Cinnabon. Pretty much the same shit, though.
>>679561 Yeah, they're jokes, something you don't do because you actually mean it. I don't want to be lumped in with unironic child predators like you so I deleted the post, thanks for the heads up nigger.
>>216026 Null didn't seem like a virtue signaling faggot in the stream with Rekieta, but after checking KF itself a lot of people there do seem to get unreasonably mad at drawings. It's weird, you'd think that after getting targeted by massive gay ops they would be more appreciative of maintaining lolberg principles.
>>216029 >you'd think that after getting targeted by massive gay ops they would be more appreciative of maintaining lolberg principles IIRC, someone summed up Kiwifarms as being the "right-leaning" equivalent of Something Awful, another forum that crusades against drawings and can only express their enjoyment of anime "ironically".
>>215897 >illusion of gaia I hate that they gave you a map making you expect to free explore but then the game is functionally linear with the overworld sections being complete filler.
>>216030 I wonder if it's the result of faggy identity shit like having persistent usernames and post counts while spending all day basically sneering at retards. At some point you're gonna feel an urge to "set yourself apart" I'm guessing, I can totally see both SA and KF having that same energy.
>>216032 The entire point of the SA crusade was to force everyone into namefagging communities as they're easier to control and quell, why do you think they hate imageboards so much? no one here is tied to post counts so everyone is basically weighted equal, you'd have to be a massive namefagging retard to get outed and recognized even in anonymous imageboards.
>>216033 >no one here is tied to post counts <(1) I know what you actually mean.
>>216033 The funny thing about "namefag" communities is when people handle the discussion entirely differently because of the handle you have. For example, on nearly of them, I have the same username that I've retained since I was in middle school; however, because of how far the Overton Window has been pushed, the people I talk to respond under the impression that I belong to a minority group because of my username, and immediately resort to calling me a troll because of the Conservative opinions I express. What's even funnier is that, when I explain this to them, they seem to get even angrier and resort to calling me a "horrible" person over having a stupid name.
>>679600 >Why there are some people in this world that say shit like "violence will get you nowhere", "violence is not the answer" or whatever crap they like to bitch on the concept of violence? Because a person forced against their will is of the same opinion still. > Its incredibly baffling that people will say these kinds of stuff instead of questioning the methods or ideals a particular group (or more than one) is fighting for. It's because the problem with those groups is that they don't typically practice what they preach. Think of it like the environmental extremists that will destroy projects like that oil pipeline coming in from Canada, and then turn around and leave the "environment" they're protecting entirely covered in trash. > Take for instance the United States, the Founding Fathers have made noble ideas that founded America that's still inspiring to this day, but they couldn't achieve them without their revolution that have paved so much blood. The Revolutionary War was fought out of reluctance, not with the purpose of causing violence against the crown. Even the "final straw" that was the Boston Tea Party was over a year before the Battle at Lexington and Concord, and the colonists were doing everything they could to the final moment to get the English politicians to see eye-to- eye with them.
>>679600 Because might makes right means the validity of your ideals is irrelevant. It all comes down to who can be the more morally abhorrent actor and terrify institutions and peoples into bending the knee. Plus violence isn't even the most effective way to fuck with people anymore. Economic terrorism is way more fruitful. Just look at the Canadian truckers. All it takes to get global attention is to park some cars on a really important road and you instantly cause billions of dollars in economic damage. And even that form of non-violent protest can be argued to be too effective. It's probably even worse than violence in terms of overall impact.
>>679600 Look at Ted Kaczynski. Made a lot of good points on technology & society. Murdered several people though so that kinda made people not so keen to listen. You can't use violence first & foremost to spread your message of your movement. While violence can get results for a certain type of goal, it does not make your movement look good. Now violence for self defense is another matter entirely.
(347.04 KB 1200x1650 Unabomber on leftists.jpg)

>>216038 He made a lot of very good points but his killings made no one want to listen if he hadn't killed anyone he'd of redpilled generations.
>>216039 Yes that's what I said.
Whenever a fag here talks about how we need to kill people it's always someone who is glowing. I do legitimately think North America as a whole will descend into violence in either the next 10 years or less if things don't start changing.
>>216041 >Whenever a fag here talks about how we need to kill people it's always someone who is glowing. Agreed. This sure as shit isn't the place. >I do legitimately think North America as a whole will descend into violence in either the next 10 years or less if things don't start changing. Nonsense. They're damn efficient at their jobs. They've neutered the whole population.
>>216039 If he hadn't killed anyone then nobody would have ever heard of him. He'd be a silenced nobody, like they intended. The only reason his manifesto was published was literally because he made the authorities fear him enough to allow it as a strategic move, and it worked, as it did lead to his arrest, but it also worked for him, as it's the only way his message got out there.
>>216037 I do agree that there are things that are worse than violence. But some people don't realize that there are different kinds of violence, like organized and disorganized violence. >Just look at the Canadian truckers. All it takes to get global attention is to park some cars on a really important road and you instantly cause billions of dollars in economic damage. And even that form of non-violent protest can be argued to be too effective. It's probably even worse than violence in terms of overall impact. The issue is that there are politicians that still don't seem to care on the Canadian people's well-being since all they care about is that the people obey the rules (like the whole shitshow of vaccine mandates for example). I'm not sure what was the aftermath since lots of people don't talk about it anymore, but I know that some were arrested because they resisted or were being outcasted. This could probably apply to other nations as well though when their governments go full retarded that people cannot tolerate their shit anymore, like what happened to Sri Lanka. >>216038 Ted was one of the reasons I made the question in the first place. The man made great explanations on technophiles and the Industrial Revolution, but his methods were wrong and got himself arrested for life because of that. The guy was a proto-niggerpill that blamed too much on technology instead of the people that used it, its like blaming too much on fast food for the reason why the US has so many obese people.
>>216039 >>216043 The guy did chose to live innawoods, he would have never been known, his manifesto would never had been read and he would never would have bothered to upload it or to find a place in the internet to publish his thoughts.I do think he went about it the wrong way but I'm sure being in isolation like he was already did a number on him. He should have just kept teaching but he ended up loosing all hope until he lost his reason.
>>216045 Just publishing on the internet would not have gotten very much attention at all, and he never would have been able to publish it normally otherwise (in print, for example). The only reason he was able to publish other things later is because of the fame he gained making it too economically enticing.
>>216046 >Just publishing on the internet would not have gotten very much attention at all What makes you so certain about that?
>>216047 He'd be a random nobody lost in a sea of nobodies. The same reason nobody will remember your post, or this one.
>>216041 >I do legitimately think North America as a whole will descend into violence in either the next 10 years or less if things don't start changing. It will happen in Western Europe before North America. Probably France considering all the productive programming recently.
>>216047 Every single fucking thing we know about the Internet today.

And it was alright because life was decent and the internet had lots of interesting-but-mostly-non-divisive things to talk about. The old internet forums were usually very polite, which was how shitholes like SA got notorious in the first place - they were so different. Once you've experienced imageboards though, there's no going back. No accounts, no "rep" to manage, bans are meaningless and you can say what you want, etc. It's a better standard, even if I do miss the nice little forums I once hung out on.

This site is like the fourth version of 8chan, which was only made to try to continue the original culture of 4chan after that site was ruined, and 4chan was only made because somethingawful was ruined, and somethingawful was only made because Eternal September ruined the wider internet. It's not about building things. They're the ones who cannot and do not build things. They steal them and then ruin them. It's the "I made this" meme but applied to the internet. And ignoring the problem and instead victim blaming isn't going to help. Blame them for not fighting back hard enough, perhaps, but do not misdirect their attention. The problem isn't that they don't build, but that they don't fight hard enough against those that destroy. Or perhaps they do, because they have shifted cultural tides, but things move slowly.

Except 8chan wasn't shut down by anyone except for its own creators. So this is just wrong. >They're the ones who cannot and do not build things Nope. Anons can't and don't build anything because there is nothing to be gained and normal healthy adult men don't value doing work where there is nothing to be gained. Which is why the admin of this site is an obese interracial cuckold fetishist. Unhealthy lunatics are the people in charge of internet forums because those are the only people that see any value in these mediums and having control of them. It is not a criticism of anon to say he doesn't build anything on the internet, it is a simple observation of reality. You are deluding yourself if you think anons are building these platforms and having them magically taken by the evil leftists. This isn't happening. No one had a gun to Jim's head and made him take down his servers for 8 months only to randomly bring the site back up in a completely broken state. Every bad thing that has ever happened to 8chan and sites like it has almost invariably been due to incompetence, not leftists forcing someone at gun point to give up the auth keys to the server so they could change the rules. You are experiencing psychosis if you believe this to be true. The only people that are big enough losers to care about being in control of internet forums are leftists. People who aren't losers don't want to manage internet forums.

DICE clearly isn't giving up on Battlefield 2042 >When a developer starts saying stuff like "we hear your feedback," it's hard not to imagine that a clock has started ticking. Any online game is in danger of Antheming out of existence these days, or at least being deprioritized if it underperforms. >So far, though, DICE hasn't wavered commitment to making Battlefield 2042 popular. It hasn't quite succeeded, but the game's average Steam concurrent player count did increase after the delayed Season 1 update dropped in early June. >Now the shooter's second season is about to start: A new map, specialist, guns, and vehicles are coming next week, on Tuesday, August 30. >Later in Season 2, DICE will also patch in revisions to the Renewal and Orbital launch maps based on player feedback: Renewal in September and Orbital in October. >Another launch map, Kaleidoscope, has already been reworked, and in a recent blog post (opens in new tab), DICE also said that it plans to reintroduce "classic and familiar classes" to Battlefield 2042 by putting gadget restrictions on specialists. >There's no ETA on that change (Season 3, maybe), but it's a significant, if not total, concession to players who've shunned 2042's freeform loadout system and focus on specialist abilities. The new map coming in Season 2 isn't quite as interesting as the snowy peaks from the first season's map; it's another stranded container ship in a former body of water. I did see a lot of calls from players for tighter quarters, though. >One of the new vehicles, the EBLC-RAM, can place spawn beacons, and the other is a lightweight buggy that could be fun. The update will also add concussion grenades and three new guns, the most interesting of which is the PF41, a full-auto pistol that uses a P90 magazine. >The new specialist is named Crawford: He can drop a mountable stationary minigun, and when he revives players, their gadget ammo is resupplied, which should help with maintaining anti-air pressure. Nothing too wild there; I tried the mounted gun in a preview build of the update, and locking down doorways was entertaining. >The first battle pass is also coming in Season 2, though DICE has reiterated that anything that affects gameplay, such as the new weapons and vehicles, will be unlockable without the premium tier. >Season 2 will also introduce an assignments system that will let players unlock guns and vehicles from previous seasons, as well as guns from the old Battlefield games featured in the Portal mode, starting with the M60E4 and M16A3. Portal guns in regular 2042 Conquest is another thing I saw players requesting after launch. Portal itself is getting some updates, too, including customizable Conquest rules. >The fact sheet DICE provided mentions "user-editable objectives," which I'm excited to check out. Sometime after the start of Season 2, DICE will add "extra-small playspaces" and new guns to Portal, too. >My opinion on Battlefield 2042 hasn't changed a lot since it launched last November: It's a dated-feeling game, but as a dated gamer, I enjoyed its unserious, inefficient, and buggy battles for a few weeks. >Someone recently asked me why I didn't keep playing it if I enjoyed it so much, and my excuse was that I broke my wrist, but if I'm being real, I did play a bit of Rocket League while healing. >So, fair point. Battlefield 2042 might've lacked the so-called stickiness developers always hope their multiplayer games will have. For $60 or more, people want endlessly repeatable fun, especially when there are free-to-play games that offer that (like, say, Rocket League, if I had to pick an example that I've put over 1,000 hours into). >It seems like DICE is working hard to find that glue, though. I recently saw a rumor going around that the studio had given up on Battlefield 2042, but I haven't seen any evidence to support that idea. >DICE said in June (opens in new tab) that it is "only focusing" on Battlefield 2042, and the developer has communicated about everything it's done—the map reworks, balance changes, big fixes, scoreboard redesign—in more detail than I think most people really care to read. >The evidence of DICE's efforts is in all the blog posts and patch notes (opens in new tab) I've been swimming in for the better part of a year. >EA has plans for the Battlefield name that are a lot bigger than 2042—Respawn head Vince Zampella is in charge of the series now, and at least one singleplayer game is coming—so maybe EA and DICE want a comeback story here bad enough to make it happen. It wouldn't be the first time public opinion about a Battlefield game changed. >Battlefield 2042 Season 2 starts on August 30. All the stuff I've talked about here is free for owners of the game—the map, new weapons, new vehicles, new specialist—but there will be premium cosmetic stuff. DICE will be talking more about that next week. https://archive.ph/SOJKb

Cute and funny posters managed to get the top tags changed on Onirism on Steam. There's been a bunch of non-commissioned art. They're showing up in a wide range of sites not just some isolated twitter or knowyourmeme echochamber. >>216187 A meme being forced and a meme being popular with normalfags are two different things. A meme that's forced is posted over and over by an extremely small amount of people in spite of no one liking it. Pepperidge Farms came from Family Guy. Quoting immensely popular normalfag shows is practically guaranteed to go viral. Normalfags beating something into the ground by overuse is not what a forced meme is. >>216188 But Hitlertripsanon, the stick girls came from 4chinz! I'm wary of anyone on /v/ calling anything other than clearly unpopular political memes "forced memes" because listanon did it for many months on end whenever the term cunny came up, all while making intentionally bad arguments to bait replies. >>216189 Some 4cuck is making a shitty RPGmaker h-game, but it doesn't look promising whatsoever. As in, all h-scene are just the girls finding photos that amount pre-existing fan-art. He showed up here on, I think, /loli/ a while back. I tried to tell him how to make his game less shit, but I think it's doomed.

>>216193 >then cute and funny posting and its related memes have long since passed the test of "approved good memes according to anon" No, they haven't. It just a couple of rapefugees who keep posting about how "based" those forced memes are while everyone else tells them to fuck off. Similar reason why NTR is so "popular", it's because only a couple of autists push it into the limelight so often. > A meme being forced and a meme being popular with normalfags are two different things. Twatter and Cuckchan are not normalfags. The former is bots, and the latter is carefully curated controlled opposition. >Spoiler NO ONE finds "cunny" to be a good meme. As much as I hate the nulistfag, even a broken clock is right twice a day. It's just the "FBI, open up" meme, by another means.

Incapable of literacy. >>216212 >in a developing three-superpower-world, the US could have been one of two instead of one alone, but unfortunately our leadership seems dead set on trying to bind China and Russia as tightly together as possible. Sure, but the problem is an incomplete understanding of the situation. Not with you, anon, but in general. Most people genuinely believe that what they see on the surface (and are told) is how things are. Since 1945, no nation exists independently of any other. There is no sovereignty anymore. It's not "the UN" that is the bad guy (though they're objectively not good and will eventually be the legal superstructure for the underlying goals), but rather is used as a pseudo-boogeyman and target of ire while the actual globalists elements work silently under any name under the sun. Communism's desire is a Single World Government, of course. And the result of "finance capitalism" is the identical, except with a ™ after the name. The manner by which the goal (total global control of all assets by an oligarchy) is achieved is irrelevant to those attempting to achieve it. They'll even pretend that friends are enemies and enemies are friends. In short, it's not about US vs. Russia vs. China when they're all owned by the same forces already.

One more cryptocurrency rug pull with a Pokémon theme, this time for $708k >Pokémon-based cryptocurrency fraud has been a problem in the past. Fans have spent more than $10 million on Pokémon-themed campaigns this year. >The PokeMonFi (Pokémon) venture has disappeared in a haze of smoke, reportedly per Twitter information collated by cybersecurity company CertiK, with the official Twitter handle being removed and the worth of the project’s two digital coins, $PMC and $PMF, plummeting to zero. >Investors’ money is seized in this Pokémon-themed Ponzi scheme without the games, NFTs, or other blockchain-based content ever appearing. >A rug pull is a type of cryptocurrency scam that happens if a group arbitrarily inflates the value of their token and then vanishes with the money, abandoning a worthless token. >Rug pulling is a type of escape fraud and decentralised finance (DeFi) exploit. Crypto Rug Pull with a Pokémon theme >A cyber-security company called CertiK Alert tweeted that the price of PokeMonFi, crypto featuring a Pokémon motif, has fallen by 99%. The rug is now being pulled out from under this sector. >The two coins in question, PMC and PMF, were also instantly lowered to zero. The rug has so far totalled $708,00 in value. >Additionally, it permitted the PMC and PMF, 2 of its digital currencies, to lose all of their value. After reportedly making off with the money, the initiative cancelled its Twitter account, but its website was still up and running. >This rug-pull scam with a Pokémon theme is the most recent in a long line of them. The projects take the money and run after failing to produce blockchain-based games, NFTs, or other claimed content. >In a months-long crime that started in April, scammers exploited Pokémon NFTs in a play-to-earn game to defraud prospective customers out of almost $700,000. >The website claims that this one is minor in comparison to at least three previous cryptocurrency Pokémon frauds that have each taken millions of dollars since February. However, it seems that the $708,00 amount attracted some scam artists’ interest, and one would assume that the alleged theft of the Pokémon IP would have been a warning sign. >Users did pay into PokeMonFi, though, even if it seemed to be a far poorer imitation. Pokémon-based cryptos from the past rug pull >Pokémon-based cryptos have already been the focus of scams. Users have paid more than $10 million in costs related to this year’s Pokémon-themed campaigns. >However, it excludes any potential compensation that Nintendo would be due for blatantly taking the company’s intellectual property. >For instance, in June, the Animoon project’s hackers duped users of $6.3 million. The Animoon project has a history of making too many promises and failing to deliver on them. >The features of the dividend-paying Legendary NFTs evolved due to its repeated failure to provide the supplies promised. But by ruggedizing the project, the project team went above and above. The crooks who created the bankrupt PokeMoney gaming venture also pocketed $3.5 million in May. https://archive.ph/TZmhA

Study Claims More Than Half of Gamers Experience Extreme Anger from Video Games >Numerous studies have shown over the years that there is no direct link between video game violence and real-world acts of violence, but that doesn't mean video games can't make someone angry. >Thanks to the competitive nature of video games, regardless if one's opponent is human or AI, games can sometimes make players angry. According to a new study, over half of gamers experience "extreme, uncontrollable anger" at least once per week. >The study was conducted by Ben Treanor of time2play. 1,046 gamers were surveyed as part of the study, with the average age of the participants being 28.6 years and the average number of hours spent gaming per week being 14.9. >56.4% of those surveyed report extreme gaming-related anger once per week, with the study finding Xbox and Call of Duty gamers are apparently the angriest. >Out of those surveyed, 18.4% said to have broken something in their rage, while a 25.5% said that they've actually "lashed out at a loved one" because of video games. >Repeatedly losing on the same level was the most common reason for someone experience extreme anger when gaming, followed by other players using hacks/cheats, game bugs, griefers, and campers. >Hacking and cheating in online games has been especially problematic in recent years, with Activision having to make its own anti-cheat software to combat hackers in Call of Duty: Warzone. >Considering Warzone's infamous difficulties with hackers, it may be no wonder that its players were reportedly the angriest out of those surveyed. >23.5% of those surveyed said Call of Duty made them the angriest, which makes sense as it is a highly-competitive game and struggles with hackers. >However, the results may be skewed by the fact that it's more likely the respondents played Call of Duty over the other games since CoD has been the best-selling game almost every year for over a decade. >What some may find surprising, however, is that the top-selling Grand Theft Auto made gamers the least angry out of the bunch, with 19.4% of those surveyed pointing to it as the game that made them the angriest. >The Grand Theft Auto franchise is significantly more violent than the other games listed, so this seems to be more evidence in favor of the theory that "aggression" in gamers is tied more to the competitive aspect of the games, and not so much the violent content. Of course, more research will be needed, but the results are still interesting to consider regardless. https://archive.ph/EMDZa

‘NFL Blitz’ is back, depicting a gentler, less violent NFL >Twenty-five years after the popular series launched, and 10 years after its last edition came out, “NFL Blitz” is returning in the arcade format that made it famous. >Arcade1Up, a retro arcade company, announced that remastered versions of the series’ first three games will be released this fall, featuring retired star players including Jerry Rice, Deion Sanders, Dan Marino, Brett Favre and Jerome Bettis. >NFL Blitz Legends, the new arcade cabinet, will include “NFL Blitz,” “NFL Blitz ‘99” and “NFL Blitz 2000: Gold Edition.” The rerelease of these games, which were famous for playing up the sport’s physicality and violence, comes after years in which the NFL has made changes to its rules to increase player safety and improve perceptions surrounding the dangers of playing football. >In a nod to these initiatives, Arcade1Up removed certain tackles and kept out animations that had been banned by the NFL dating back to the 90s, including after-the-whistle hits and other stunts that would earn a real life NFL player a disciplinary meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. >Discussing how the (real) game has changed since he retired after the 2004 season, Hall of Famer and three-time NFL Champion Jerry Rice said in an interview with The Washington Post that while he thinks recent rule changes have helped protect players, he liked playing in his era. >I think the game is all about protecting players now. But back when I played it was a little bit different,” he said with a smirk. “You had to establish yourself on a football field, you knew that it was going to be a physical football game, and that you were going to get hit. … >Back in the day it was brutal. You had to go out and you had to protect yourself. But I think it was something that the fans want to see.” >Acknowledging that players who target opponents should be kicked out of the game, Rice lamented the interruptions to gameplay due to the increased use of instant replay and what he sees as the greater amount of control given to officials in terms of deciding game outcomes. >I understand it’s all about protecting players, but I played when you didn’t have all of those [officiating] decisions, where you just let the players go out and play the game,” he said. >Still, Rice lit up with excitement talking about the fluidity and pace of “NFL Blitz.” He highlighted the retro elements, including team logos and rosters, which hark back to a previous era of gridiron glory. >“It’s really the game of the ’90s,” Rice said. Taking these games, some of which were developed over 20 years ago, and making them run on modern hardware and graphics engines, was not an easy task, according to Davin Sufer, chief technology and product officer for Arcade1Up. >You can do the ROM file, the original builds, [and] get your hardware to run it or you can dig up the source code and build the game from scratch,” Sufer said. “We did the latter.” >It took two years for him and his team to complete the game. The Arcade1Up version, in addition to increasing frame rate and responsiveness, also added an online multiplayer function and can be updated remotely by the developer. >A 49-way joystick, present on the original arcade versions, has also been preserved. The “NFL Blitz” arcade cabinet features a 17-inch screen, stands about 5 feet high, and weighs 92 pounds. It has a 1280 x 1024 screen resolution and light up marquee. >This is by far the most sophisticated game we’ve ever done,” said Scott Bachrach, CEO of Arcade1Up. In addition to the technical challenges, Arcade1Up also had to deal with a complex legal landscape, which included negotiating new licenses with the NFL and the Football Greats Alliance, a group of retired NFL players. >Working with the NFL, the Arcade1Up team agreed to remove and edit animations that showed players targeting one another by leading with the helmets during tackles. They were also able to get a license for 409 of the 448 players in the original games. >To come out with this really is a small miracle in my mind,” said Mark Turmell, creator of the original “NFL Blitz.” Academics want to preserve video games. Copyright laws make it complicated. >Turmell, who was involved with the remastering process, said he thinks the new editions stay true to his original versions. >In terms of the hard hitting nature of NFL Blitz, that’s all still here,” Turmell said. “In terms of an arcade game, things move fast, things change on a dime, you can dive through the air, all of those arcade elements persist. >That’s the code that’s running in this game. It really holds up.” Asked about his own abilities, Turmell spoke like a true gamer, albeit one with a pretty big edge. >I am pretty tough to beat,” he said. “I wrote the playbooks. So when I see a formation, this wide receiver goes out and makes a cut, I know the defender will go the wrong direction. In my head, I know all those movements.” >Rice, who also seems to know the movements of opponents ahead of time, said that even though he has been retired for years, this time of year — the start of the NFL season — is still special for him. >It’s football season man! Even though it’s preseason, I get excited because preseason got me ready for the regular season,” he said. >For Rice, “NFL Blitz” and other sports games offer a taste of the reality he experienced on the field. That, he says, is why those kinds of titles are so popular. “I think people get a chance to live that dream through these legends,” Rice said. https://archive.ph/0Zgh5

Ubisoft just released a 40-player battle royale on mobile >To zero fanfare, Ubisoft has launched Wild Arena Survivors, a fresh battle royale from the company designed for mobile. It would seem the game saw some press back in June with a beta that ended in July, as the title ramped up to its global release. >Well, today's release day, which means this isometric 40-player battle royale is ready for the masses. As you'd expect, collectible characters are very much a thing, and you'll get to grind your days away as you upgrade them one by one. >There's also a heavy focus on survival gameplay, with a multitude of modes available, including a solo mode for all you hardcore survival fans out there. Still, the lack of marketing for this game and its silent release is pretty telling, so tread carefully. >The trailer above offers a quick glimpse of Wild Arena Survivors in action. As you can see, it offers the typical mechanics of a battle royale, from dropping onto an island, to collecting an assortment of characters. Seemingly the game offers an isometric view with pre-rendered backgrounds to keep performance on par for a selection of Android devices, though the skeptic in me wonders if Ubi simply repurposed some random survival game engine, seeing that just about every isometric survival game on the platform looks incredibly similar. >While the game does offer some splashy graphics, I'd say they offer the flare inspired by Fornite, which makes sense since Ubisoft is so incredibly late jumping on the mobile battle royale bandwagon. >As for gameplay, there's a selection of modes, including a solo mode, so survival gameplay is certainly on the menu, though if you're interested in the core BR mode, it offers 10-minute matches for up to 40 players at a time. >Not only will you spend your time collecting and upgrading characters, but you'll also have to dig for loot to upgrade your weapons and gear. After all, endlessly running a treadmill until you spend money to alleviate the grind is the ultimate goal for a game like this. >Unsurprisingly Wild Arena Survivors is free-to-play, so it contains in-app purchases that range up to $104.99 per item. There are also multiple currencies, and of course, the in-game store is hidden from everyone until they complete the forced tutorial. >The best part is the tutorial doesn't explain a thing, so you're literally left standing on an island with zero direction, which might explain why Ubisoft is so silent despite today's release. >Still, I did the dirty work to find out what the in-game store contains, and it's a bunch of loot boxes and currency, so the game's paid loot is indeed hidden behind a gambling mechanic. Gross. >All in all, it seems pretty clear why Ubisoft hasn't put any effort behind today's launch, and that's because Wild Arena Survivors is neither polished nor fun, with awful monetization attached. >More than likely Ubi knows this but has decided to silently launch the game to recoup the development costs from players, which is why I have a feeling Wild Arena Survivors isn't going to last for very long. >Still, if you'd like to check out one of the worst battle royale games to land on the Play Store in some time, just to educate yourself on how not to develop a game, go right ahead and grab the install from the Play Store widget below. https://archive.ph/NRR03 Meta is shutting down the standalone Facebook Gaming app >Meta has started notifying users of its standalone Facebook Gaming app that it will soon no longer be available. In an in-app notification (as shared by social media consultant Matt Navarra and other publications), the company has announced that both iOS and Android versions of the application will stop working on October 28th. >Meta is also giving users the chance to download their search data and reminding them that Facebook Gaming isn't going away entirely. Users will merely have to go to the Gaming tab in the main Facebook app to watch their favorite creators' livestreams. >The company released the dedicated Gaming app in 2020 to better compete with Twitch and YouTube. Meta (still known as Facebook back then) designed the app to highlight content from streamers and to provide users with a group chat and other community features. >It didn't say why it decided to shut down the standalone app, but it could be part of its cost-cutting efforts meant to help it weather what Mark Zuckerberg calls "one of the worst downturns [the company has seen] in recent history." >Over the past year, streaming tool providers such as StreamElements reported that Facebook Gaming comes only second to Twitch when it comes to hours watched on a game streaming platform. >However, we examined data from CrowdTangle, Meta's analytics service, and found that the platform is flooded with spam and pirated content masquerading as gaming livestreams. >Back then, a spokesperson told Engadget that Meta was "working to improve [its] tools to identify violating content" so that users can have "the best experience." >The company released the dedicated Gaming app in 2020 to better compete with Twitch and YouTube. >Back then, a spokesperson told Engadget that Meta was "working to improve [its] tools to identify violating content" so that users can have "the best experience." https://archive.ph/ZyzNK

to bring a smidge of games back onto the thread, do any of you suffer from the modding autismo that is quite exemplified in skyrim when you put as many mods as you can(specially ones with synergy with each-other), playing for an hour or two and then stop playing, delete the mods and not touch the game for a few months? i remember doing that quite a few times with minecraft during that era of thaumcraft addon abundance >>216291 haven't they been siting and farting their pants over naranjiro since 2015?

HOW MICROSOFT’S LOOMING OWNERSHIP OF ‘CALL OF DUTY’ CAN HURT SONY >Xbox manufacturer Microsoft set the video games industry on fire when it announced its plan to acquire “Call of Duty” owner Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion at the start of the year. >The deal is still pending approval and is expected to close next year, but public documents courtesy of Brazil’s regulatory body CADE revealed last week just how strongly Microsoft and PlayStation owner Sony feel about the other’s competitive strategies for their respective console brands. >Sony’s reported comments within the Brazilian filings aren’t surprising. The Japanese company highlighted just how crucial of a franchise “Call of Duty” is to the gaming industry, and that Microsoft owning its publisher would be anti-competitive and sway player choice in consoles. >But translations from newer filings saw Microsoft push back against Sony’s notes, claiming that Sony pays for “blocking rights” that halt companies from making some of their games available on subscription service Xbox Game Pass. Sony has yet to publicly refute these claims. >The same filings also saw the tech mammoth confirm final sales for its last-gen console Xbox One, which it said were less than half of PlayStation 4 lifetime sales. >This echoes the current progression of console sales for PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series systems. While the supply-chain crisis resulting in shortages of semiconductor chips has hurt Sony’s own forecasts and enabled Microsoft to gain a slight edge past this 2-to-1 sales split in 2021, analysts have already predicted the prior ratio of PlayStation to Xbox hardware sales will stay the course in 2022. >And when looking at overall console spending share, PlayStation’s hardware and storefront remained the clear leader in 2021, with Xbox only gaining 1% in its market share as Nintendo’s share fell by 2%. >As a main leader in cloud computing, Microsoft’s overall revenue has soared throughout the pandemic era, while Sony has had to meticulously balance its bevy of media businesses, which includes Sony Pictures and Sony Music. >Both units are major players in Hollywood and the global music industry, areas that were impacted strongly by lockdowns in 2020. >This has made Sony Interactive Entertainment, the unit comprising PlayStation, a central anchor for Sony. SIE has routinely pulled in more revenue than Xbox ever has, but its role within the wider corporation means it must stay an anchor for the business that is handled very carefully. >Whereas Xbox, despite its footing in the global games market, remains a smaller element of the much larger Microsoft operation, which is currently pulling in more than twice the revenue of Sony. >This has allowed Microsoft to invest in the Xbox brand excessively via pricey acquisitions, which included the $7.5 billion purchase of Bethesda owner ZeniMax that was finalized in early 2021 before Activision Blizzard became the main story. >The company has long presided over Xbox Game Pass as well, the popularity of which forced Sony to scrap its PlayStation Now cloud and download service and roll it into PlayStation Plus instead, which was in turn revamped into three separate tiers that more closely resemble Game Pass. >But while Xbox is committed to granting its more than 25 million subscribers day-one access to new games, including many hotly anticipated first-party titles like Bethesda’s “Starfield,” PlayStation’s subscription strategy is still far more reserved. Annapurna Interactive’s July release “Stray” was made available as a day-one download for PS Plus subscribers at the higher tiers, but upcoming first-party games like “The Last of Us Part I” and “God of War: Ragnarok” will be excluded. >Sony’s strategy here, along with its newer initiative to release older first-party titles to PC, are a big aspect of why Sony leads in gaming revenue as it works to expand its push into live services via its completed acquisition of “Destiny” owner Bungie and development of several upcoming games-as-a-service titles across PlayStation Studios. >But neither Sony or Xbox has ever commanded a console staple like “Call of Duty,” making Xbox’s looming ownership of the franchise uncharted territory for the industry. >Before 2022 figures pinned “Call of Duty” lifetime sales at 425 million units, the franchise had confirmed surpassing the 400 million mark a year prior. >This means in a little over a year, “Call of Duty” sold 25 million units’ worth of its games in addition to its free-to-play “Warzone” title which sports more than 125 million players. >Marvel’s Spider-Man,” the most popular first-party game on PlayStation, and its companion title “Spider-Man: Mile Morales” have jointly sold more than 33 million units since their releases, with the former game having released to PC as well in August. >Microsoft has pledged “Call of Duty” will remain multiplatform when the Activision Blizzard acquisition closes, but its plan for the franchise as it relates to Xbox Game Pass remains unknown. >For its competitor to command a franchise that “Spider-Man” is barely matching sales for is a scary prospect, and one that the potential to give Xbox an unbeatable edge if none of Sony’s own live-service games generate massive consumer interest. >As gamers tighten their pockets by taking advantage monthly subscription fees, there’s a real threat for new console buyers to side with Xbox if they know one of the biggest brands in competitive gaming will have more perks there instead of on PlayStation, especially if they have the patience to wait for PlayStation exclusives to come to PC. >But as long as Sony maintains its strong command of console sales, this concern is likely a tough sell for regulatory bodies. https://archive.ph/Q9RJi

A new update for the game has recently launched to some success, and overall it might not be a bad shooter to own for just £10. >Other deals today include the Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda dropping to just £29.99 at Amazon, down from its £50 RRP. >>216412 >>216416 >>216412 If anyone here a fan of Tom Clancy books. I recommend reading Executive order. Tom Clancy believed all the proxy wars and regime changes will backfired by causing a unified Arab state that’s anti-Saudi Arabia and anti-Israel. In fact he believed we will see Iraq and Iran Unified into a political Union or nation long before a unified Korea. Middle Eastern coalition from battlefield 2 and OPFOR from the original call of duty modern warfare trilogy were all inspired by Tom Clancy United Islamic republics. United Islamic Republic >The United Islamic Republic (UIR) was a country located in the Middle East. It was established in 1996 when the leader of Iran, Ayatollah Mahmoud Haji Daryaei, invaded Iraq after ordering the assassination of its leader and unifying both countries. >The country was dissolved later that year following its failed invasion of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and the assassination of Daryaei. >In 1996, Ayatollah Daryaei ordered an Iranian deep cover agent to assassinate Saddam Hussein, the leader of Iraq. >Taking advantage of the power vacuum, Daryaei launched an unopposed invasion of Iraq. With Iraq now under his control, Daryaei united it with Iran to form the United Islamic Republic. Daryaei then sought to transform the new country into a superpower by launching an invasion on the neighboring Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. >To accomplish this, Daryaei formulated a plan to weaken the United States so that they would not interfere with his invasion. Daryaei orchestrated a series of terrorist attack on the United States: a biological attack in the country using a weaponized strain of Ebola virus, a kidnapping attempt on President Jack Ryan's youngest daughter Katie Ryan from her school, and an assassination attempt on the President himself by a Secret Service bodyguard named Aref Raman who was actually an Iranian sleeper agent. >Daryaei then contacted a senior Chinese diplomat named Zhang Han San and the Prime Minister of India to form an alliance in secret. Han San agreed to the alliance as it would allow China to fulfill his imperialistic motives while the Prime Minister of India saw the alliance as a way to accelerate her plans to take over Sri Lanka. >Han San causes a diplomatic crisis between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan by ordering a PLAAF aircraft to shoot down a Taiwanese airliner. >The incident pulled a U.S. Navy carrier group from the Indian Ocean to the South China Sea and allowed the Indian Navy's own carrier group to move undetected to the Strait of Hormuz, cutting off access to the only sea-bound pathway to the UIR and Saudi Arabia. >Believing the U.S. Government and military to be overwhelmed by a multitude of crisis, Daryaei launches the invasion of Saudi Arabia >Daryaei underestimated the U.S., however, as the kidnapping attempt on Katie Ryan and the assassination attempt on the President were both thwarted by the FBI and Secret Service. >Additionally, while the Ebola pandemic immobilized almost the entire U.S. military apparatus, its inability to spread effectively resulted in its swift burn out. Afterwards, CIA agents John Clark and Domingo Chavez traced the virus' origin to Africa and learn of Daryaei's involvement. >This prompted President Ryan to deploy the remainder of the U.S. military to assist Saudi and Kuwaiti military forces in repelling a UIR invasion of Saudi Arabia. >He then threatened the Prime Minister of India with retaliation if the Indian Navy Ships blocking the Strait of Hormuz interfere with approaching U.S. forces, forcing her to comply and back out of Daryaei's alliance. >The tide soon turned against the UIR, with its forces obliterated by the combined firepower of the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Meanwhile, President Ryan had sent Clark and Chavez to the UIR capital of Tehran to target Daryaei with assistance from Russian intelligence. After Daryaei was confirmed to be at his residence, he was assassinated with precision guided munitions dropped from F-117 Nighthawks. >Ryan then threatened to launch a nuclear strike on Tehran unless those responsible for the attacks were immediately extradited to the U.S. to face charges, and the facility where the weaponized Ebola was cultured is neutralized. >Tehran complies, signaling the dissolution of the UIR. The UIR dissolution was not actually a condition of the peace, but with Daryaei dead there was nothing holding its two component countries together. <Legacy >While the country was short-lived, it had lasting effects on the world. Daryaei's actions led President Ryan to announce the "Ryan Doctrine", under which the United States would hold personally accountable any foreign leader who orders attacks on American citizens, territory, or possessions in the future. >Additionally, the terrorist attacks orchestrated by Daryaei led John Clark to propose the formation of a new international counter-terrorism unit known as Rainbow. >In 1999, the weaponized Ebola strain that the country had used was later acquired by radical environmentalist and CEO of the Horizon Corporation, John Brightling, who had it refined into the Shiva virus in an effort to wipe out humanity and stop pollution permanently. https://archive.ph/16DzE

>>216421 Oi. I heard this on a Sseth video of all things, but there is this treatment. So, humans cell die at 45 Cº and above of heat, right? But how come you go into a sauna or a hot bath for a good while and you don't start melting? Because your body can produce an enzime that protects cells from those high temperatures. Right. Cancer cells are supposed to be attacked by your own inmune system. So for them to prosper apparently they make a lights out and create a cancer ghetto, that's why they can reproduce freely without being attacked by your linfocites. And here's where the things becomes interesting. Those cells themselves can't produce the enzime to protect them from heat, so the cancer cells either A: Send a signal asking for the enzime, making the body detect them, recognize them as cancerigen and attack them, or they don't ask for the enzime and die off because of the high temperature. Along with some kind of medication that let's your own white globules freely roam around the body, seems to be a great fucking alternative to chemo and other fucked up medical treatments. In the video there was a before and after this treatment of a throat with cancer, and it was like night and day, and it really made a fucking impression on me. Just so you know this thing exist. I'll try to find the video itself but you might want to google it and see what you can find - maybe this treatment is not for all kind of cancers, I have no fucking idea, I'm no medic. >>216505 Fenbednazole, AKA the Joe Tippens protocol. Its kind like Ivermectin's situation - somebody found out that dogs taking this dewormer while also having cancer, had their cancer cured. So they've tested it on humans and it works on several kinds of cancer including lung and melanoma and with way less side effects than chemo. I have something to add to the Heat Therapy cure too. Back in the day there was something called Cole's Cancer Curing Concoction. Basically this doctor studied a guy who had face tumors so bad they broke through his skin and got horribly infected. Well the infection cleared up and the cancer vanished with it. This doc went experimenting and found that he could cure several kinds of cancer by deliberately injecting infectious bacteria into tumors. His theory was that cancer cells are less resistant to infection and so become infected faster than healthy cells, and that the infections were like target markers for the immune system, so the cancer cells would be destroyed by the immune system. BUT one of the things he discovered was that the treatment was ineffective unless the infection was bad enough to cause FEVER in the patient, and the fever had to be carefully monitored and maintained for about 3 days. Then they'd give the patient penicillin to keep the infection from running wild and let the immune system clean up the mess. Well what if he was wrong about the infection theory, and it was the simple act of inducing a high fever in the cancer area for ~3 days that was really the cure? That would certainly match up with these modern findings.

The body does self-regulate since you have the stomach with a pH of like 3 and the bloodstream with 7.5 or so though. It probably is just eating more mindfully in general, with fiber and antioxidants and other shit being more common in your diet rather than hyperprocessed garbage and restaurant food cooked with the cheapest oil that doesn't taste bad. SPF 50 or higher water and sweatproof sunscreen, applied every 2 hours if you're out there longer than 20 minutes. This assumes you aren't a shitskin since they last a bit longer. Living away from any cell towers, using bluetooth or wired headsets for calls, keeping phone in a belt holster instead of pocket (they're tested for emissions 5mm away from skin and still fail).

Of those that are aware the majority of them cannot name a close relative who suffered from cancer. So your first point is incorrect. Additionally, the majority of people who encounter cancer consult a doctor who will prescribe a treatment and a doctor will choose a treatment not based upon its effectiveness but based upon whether or not there is a body of research supporting it. Current widely prescribed treatments were at one time still the subject of only meager research and doctors at that time did not prescribe them since they did not have sufficient evidence to justify their usage. Almost all research is sponsored by large corporations looking to get a return on investment, research into how people can treat cancer by exposing themselves to widely available stimuli or substances would simply not be pursued since it would be difficult to impossible to make that into a product. Nothing is hidden, many avenues are simply not "worth" investigating. That being said, considering you read fluff articles where "rooms of scientists" talk about "how hard they cried" and consider them veracible I imagine you are probably the kind of person who has created most of his world view from fictional media in the form of movies, books and videogames. Your ability to actually understand how things work would thus be rather poorly developed. Sage for responding to bait.

There is going to be a huge disparity between the level of commitment that the US Government will sink. I honestly wouldn't even put it beyond them to use nukes to suppress a rebellion, especially if they think the rebels will get their hands on captured nuclear weapons. And it won't just be a American Civil War either - every single nation with a vested stake in maintaining American global hedgemony, along with every state that wants to see it abolished, will be sticking their dicks into the conflict - and while America is distracted with the war at home, everyone with a grudge to bear will take the chance to exact retribution or grab for/reclaim territory. >>216656 >Stop being a nigger pill. No nigger pilling here. I'm not commenting on whether or not they'll win the conflict. In fact, I'm confident they'll ultimately lose. I'm just saying that America hasn't seen a conflict the scale of what a modern Civil War would escalate to since WWII, and even that didn't come home. They're just not comparable to Vietnam/Afghanistan/Somalia. At all.
