OPERATION MAX REVIVE Rebuild the board's userbase and activity through simple, but effective methods
[Expand Post]1. Post across the entire board Activity creates activity. Use threads you like, make new ones if topics don't exist. Easy examples are Drawthreads and Friday Night threads, go request or draw something right now. 2. Recruit and recover lost or potential anons Use this site's OC and features to entice anons if necessary when recruiting, just inform that we are alive. Here's some sites and links with at least some confirmed anons that can be recruited again: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chotwheels https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SSAVCH https://steamcommunity.com/groups/video_games https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chmohun https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chan_monster https://steamcommunity.com/groups/GoodLuckEbolaChan https://steamcommunity.com/search/groups/#text=8ch.net https://steamcommunity.com/search/groups/#text=8chan Other sites that might yield fruitful results and have anons (art sites use an account so you can see 18+ content): https://www.deviantart.com/search?q=Vivian+James https://www.newgrounds.com/search/summary?suitabilities=etm&terms=Vivian%20James https://twitter.com/search?q=Vivian%20James&src=typed_query&f=image https://rpgcodex.net/ https://old.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction/ Somewhere on Telegram Just searching up GG or 8chan-related terms on certain places/sites can get you possible results. 3. Make your own OC/Memes/Content Doesn't matter what it is even if its just simple edits or full-on drawings or webms, just make it and have fun. Ask in thread for software recs if necessary. 4. Encourage or create fun events, activities, projects, etc. Think things like 8chanmania, weekly streams, re-translation projects, demo days, or zzz's gaming magazine for example. If you want to do something, try making or reviving it, it can't hurt and these things are great for the board. 5. Use other boards All it takes for a board to grow is at least 2 dedicated anons using it. Don't be afraid to make a post, check places periodically, shill, or what have you. Don't force discussions to boards, just encourage the usage of them. 2. >>397085 Last thread some anon posted the most recent one, and how the younger people (up to their 20s) of this year aren't buying anymore. Most stay on phones, or simply don't play video games anymore (or never had).
>>397085 I saw a further data dive on that. The highest bar's early 20s, but the mean's 28.

>>397102 Because the left wants to twist a normal JRPG plot into some leftist propaganda, along with poor localisation. Everything is woke retards due to years of left wing subversion, think the game is sjw despite the game being very critical towards idealism. The game does feel cut especially for the social links. >>397104 I and several other anons asked for the source of the image, which he couldn't provide and, I shit you not said "Everyone on Twitter believes it to be real".
(63.62 KB 800x533 concern intensifies.jpg)

>>397104 Are you a mind reader? I'm not giving the benefit of doubt to concern trolling. Because >guies, >we shouldn't jump to conclusions always seems to end up being >you right wing nazis aren't allowed to use the same tactics as >us ...as this "concern" only ever seems to flow in one direction. Even a whiff of wokeness need to be the kiss-of-death for projects. There needs to be a compete fumigation of the "long march through the institutions" commies who are ruining all media, even foreign media via Localization, for the sake of their dumb church as "the termites have dined long and well" and there is only one real way to deal with it: I prefer hanging by the neck until dead.
>>397102 People don't play Shin Megami Tensei because of the religious, occult, and philosophical themes to the point the demons had to be turned into tarot cards in Purseowner for the normalfags to slobber all over it. This is a game series that's arguably inspired many of the modern cliches about JRPGs being about killing the Abrahamic God with YHVH, and was inspired by a novel about a Japanese student becoming a fantasy school shooter. Hell, Metaphor had to whitewash the demons as "Humans" in the title's inversion of conventions. In general the influx of cuckchanner rapefugees has not been raising the level of conversation; if anything, it's being lowered ("there are trans people EVERYWHERE and I must discuss them ad infinitum also I have to post a badly drawn jak"). Hell, I don't think Endymion was referenced once in this thread until the "tranny faggot nigger" ban occurred.

>>397102 >>397107 Okay now I'm fairly sure you guys are shills. At first I thought you were just extremely persnickety rules lawyers, but trying to come into the GG thread and gaslight people into believing this is fake is straight up libfag localization-defender tier behavior. I'll speak for myself. >The first image circles on social media and basically everywhere else on the internet and I post it here >I try to find where the left image comes from >Am told it was found in the game files for the Metaphor demo >Every other corner of the internet except this one accepts it's real >Even the tranny defenders aren't trying to call it fake >These anons insist it's fake and I'm lying and demand I learn how to decompile games to prove I'm right despite how authentic the image looks >Unsurprisingly I don't know how to do it (the other anons are technically illiterate too and can offer no explanation how something that looks so real is fake other than "ai" and "photoshop") >Another anon comes into the thread to talk about technical issues of the game. He is clearly the most familiar with game design in the entire thread. He says the picture looks like an authentic beta screenshot. >These two anons insist it's far more likely the image was created by a photoshop god who left no traces and no one else on the entire internet could spot rather than believe Atlus caved to western pressure and and made a change, despite the many instances of dodgy localization in the game already. >They bring the unrelated drama into the GG thread to try and convince people the localizers are on their side actually. >You are here. I wouldn't have even made this post if these anons had simply stuck to it being "unproven." But their insistence and gaslightlighting that it "has" to be fake suddenly made them incredibly suspicious in my eyes.
>>1027623 At least make it believable.
>>1027623 Kill yourself
>>397117 >>Every other corner of the internet except this one So Cuckchan and Twitter? Kill yourself.
Niggerpill immediately showing up to respond to and try and discredit the image does make the heavy resistance to it in the Metaphor thread seem kind of suspicious.
>>397117 >Okay now I'm fairly sure you guys are shills. <For questioning if some random pic is legit and using evidence to criticise something logically <Not taking Twitter's word (rightfully so considering how much they ragebait) I should also add you posted to some site that is purely techno babble, as your proof. This community has been archive or fuck off, for the better part of a decade.
>>397084 >>397085 >>397087 Here's a graph with some detailed information. The average age is indeed 28. In fact, 5 out of 6 Nintendo Switch players are adults. Their continued drive to be family-friendly and appeal to children can probably be explained by the positive image it gives them amongst the average person. And the fact that they allow pornographic/adult games to be sold on their digital storefront, often censoring things less than Sony nowadays, shows that they are also aware of how many of their customers are adults.
>>397122 I wouldn't call you shills if you ever conceded the possibility in your posts the image could be real. Instead you came into this completely unrelated thread to complain and shittalk me and insist the image is fake. But the fact that you came into a GG thread with the intent of discrediting something that would make the localization look bad without the slightest nod to the fact it could also be real is weird as fuck. I wish like hell someone here knew how to decompile a steam game and search it's files. If the image isn't there I guess I'd eat crow, but acting like it HAS to be fake because no one here seems to have the technical capacity to check the location the image is supposed to be is no different than insisting it has to be real.
(362.32 KB 934x533 warboss prigogk.png)

>>397124 >I wouldn't call you shills If you had given real proof then this board would've been crucifying Metaphor and Atlus, but you didn't give anything other then "well Twitter thinks it's real!". This is a userbase that hates Journalists for doing just that, and you're fucking surprised no one is having this?
(4.52 MB 480x476 hold still, please!.gif)

>>397118 >>397119 It's Willy, I can tell because of the image he used.
>>397117 That first image looks edited as fuck. I'm not keen on Fantasy Persona but don't try to play this thread like it's twitter.
>>397126 A friend of mine says cuck/pol/ has an army of Niggerpill kikes, who shit up the board nonstop. After reluctantly going on to see, its so fucking bad that I understand why they've been slowly coming here. I wish they'd fuck off, but sadly they'll keep coming.
>>397124 If it isn't a ton more discoverable then it's either the best anti-streissand containment ever or it's so fake nobody bothered with it. Either way she looks like she has her pants/bodysuit on backwards in the after image.
Remember, you don’t hate localizers enough https://archive.ph/FuqYp
>>397127 I do think its real but the problem is the lack of source, if it's something that can be found in the game then there is likely other stuff that they removed and forgot to erase the residues, but the left looks like something from an earlier build of the game, it could be a inside leaker that was mad at it but at same time it might mean we don't have the build that have the removed assets
>>397127 You're the first person to actually address the image itself so can you explain why it looks fake? Can you point to the hallmarks that show it? Those looks very much like beta models of what's in the final game to me. They have similar poses too. The red headed elf CAN make that pose in game. The models and environments look obviously unfinished, which is why I think it looks authentic. This is what betas typically look like. >>397125 I have said it and said it. I have told you were the image is. I have told you I do not have the technical ability to check. I wish like fuck you did even if it just ended up proving me wrong because this entire thing is exhausting. And it wasn't just twitter, man. It's everywhere. You people in that thread are the only people I have seen who think it's fake. Even people who have a vested interest in wanting it to be fake have not called it fake. So I don't know what else to say. The image looks incredibly real, no one else calls it fake but you guys and no one here seems able to check steam files so I have no idea what to do. Because, as someone who has apparently been here since 2014, you should also no that evidence that is potentially real shouldn't be treated as fake either. There is a method to prove it's realness or fakeness but no one here seems to have the ability to do it.

In the old days GG would work as a team to investigate things and people who couldn't do certain things were helped by others who could. GG cared about finding the truth. It was not a bunch of people sitting in arm chairs demanding proof. They went out and found it. I know where the truth supposedly is but lack the technical ability to find it. I need help. In the old days finding the truth was more important then being fucking right on the internet.

>>397131 >>397139 I still don't largely understand Nippon, and I knew that was an intentional mistranslated. However what I find rather ironic is that if these people are so deadset on using manga and anime to push a political agenda, yet they NEVER touch any of the manga or anime that was published back in the 1970's that did exactly the thing that they were trying to do. Seriously, after you read a chapter or watch an episode for some of those series, you have to take a breath and check the calendar just to remind yourself of what year it is as it's the same fucking talking points you see the Progressives spouting today.
>>397146 The problem with that line of statement is showing actual proof with the data files instead of posting just screencaps.
>>397147 That is funny since there were plenty of shoujo manga like that, with Princess Knight, Rose of Versailles, etc, you could even use Akumetsu as a CurrentYear example..
>>397148 The 'lie" camp has significantly more to work with than I do. They have the image. If they can find flaws in it then they can prove it's a lie. The fact of the matter is both sides would have proof if either one of them had the technical ability to check. The problem you guys have is you've made this whole thing be about me rather than the picture. This shouldn't be about me at all. It should be "hey here's this thing that might prove the game was fucked with during development, does anyone here know how to check if this is real?"

>>397153 I thought that was the joke though, it's an actual manga instead of just garbage produced for DEI money.
>>397117 It's probably real, but I won't believe it with certainty without hard proof, which you fail to provide. Your speculation, no matter how grounded, is not real evidence.

But you can't call me a liar without proof. >>397152 If I could decompile steam game files I would have done it days ago, anon. >>397147 Also yeah, people have this image of Japanese citizens being very politically docile but at that time Japan was politically divided in a super similar way to America today. It ended because the commies grew old and tired of screeching (if they didn't get arrested) and the conservatards grew tired of the constant violence (at a certain point in the 60's the communist parties and student groups started literally going "by any means necessary" which included terrorism) so by the 80's there was an unspoken rule to just have some fucking normalcy for the next generation. This is why people have this impression of modern Japs being very unaware of politics (especially internationally), because the millennials were raised to focus on their immediate environment and not be crazy activists and to be peaceful. (And then you see that snap back when you piss them off, like with the Splatoon art thing recently, how often people are throwing Japs under the bus because they basically just view them equivalent to Whites.) But the charged environment was still going strong in the 70's, the cliques were there, all those artists and animators and writers probably just finished a decade of going to protests and throwing bricks at cops. If this metaphorical "laying down arms" didn't happen today's Japs would probably be as retarded as South Koreans. That's not to say there aren't political stories past that dividing line, any slight weeb can find a many semi-modern political Japanese works such as pic related. But the forthright socialist rhetoric was heavily dialed back for a long time. I'd say trannylators don't look at the older stories because they're just retarded slobs who only care about being popular, and don't give a fuck about some long forgotten 60's or 70's property that never got localized. They just want to be the one who worked on the thing that's popular with their own faggot clique. (Also they probably don't pick their work, I don't think any studio is rushing to localize old stuff, but that isn't stopping them from doing shit on the side like fans have done for time immemorial).

>>397218 Sadly, I know where the picture is supposed to be but do not have the skills to access it myself, it's supposedly in the demo files. I could not figure out out to parse those nor could I find anyone else who could. >>397219 This is likely well after where that picture would have been from. The MC and Strohl have their proper models and outfits at this point and Hulkenberg's ass is already flattened. One of the first things I tried to do was find early footage. I assumed the picture was from some early beta clip that was floating around or something, but then I found out that image was apparently buried in the demo files instead. Look I don't want to keep derailing with this. As I said I only posted in here about it all in this thread because people were trying to convince everyone it was a lie and I wanted people to consider there's a pretty good chance it's still legit. There's not much point to continuing the discussion unless someone else knows how to parse or can teach me how to check the demo files. The best I could do was find a cpk browser but even then I hardly know what I'm looking at when I use it. >>397221 Persona is actually interesting to talk about when it comes to this because, as you showed, they have perfectly normal asses in P5. However in the Joker stage in Smash Bros Ann's model is in the background of the stage and they seemingly used the same ass-flattening on her there that they seem to have used on Hulkenberg in this game.

>>397143 >That spike is probably made of younger people setting the default to 18 on launch day. That could certainly have happened. But what are the odds, really? Players who purchase a Switch, especially on launch day, are looking to play things like Mario, Splatoon, Zelda, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and other main Nintendo IP. None of which are even close to being rated M and thus requiring an age of 18 or a parent's permission. Since the source of the information is reliable, we need some proof of this lying about age trend before presenting it as a true possibility. >The average is probably lower. The average is accurate, given the data available. Like the graph shows, most of the respondents reported that their age was between 20 and 25, probably around 23 specifically. >>397251 >getting $20 passive income a day from jewtube does that to these stupid cocksuckers. It's part of why I think monetization was the real killer to Youtube rather than any heavy-handed censorship on Jewgle's part. The disillusioning thing I've learned over the past 2 decades is that the easiest way to control someone is to give them something to lose - ergo, by making their pipe dream of "making youtube their job" a reality, they become dependent on it to feed themselves and thus become the algorithim's bitch. Then they have to cope to themselves about their willful cuckoldry and sanding down their own edges with self-bullshit like "needing to mature". Doesn't help that the naive idiots forgot that "making a job out of something" means doing it even when you don't want to. This burns people right the fuck out and made at least a few come to hate what they once loved.

There is more personality in his necktie compared to the other. The facial features are sharper and contrast better with the darker skin tone. The color scheme stands out better, as do his larger ears. The white background makes it worse for the drawing on the left, no fault of the artist. The legs fade away into the background. It would look better if he was in front of a dark background for the bright colors of the clothes to contrast. Resummarizing, Green Jacket is simply drawn better so he looks better.

And now, coming back out of hibernation, the purple vidya theme has returned & been retooled!!! You've seen the theme before, you may have possibly even remember it being used on the board briefly before it got reverted back to the stock theme due to, IIRC, the archived threads becoming broken eyesores. I believe I have now fixed the design problem by taking a snapshot of the overlayed tiles from the old revision & piecing them all together. Then I figured, 'why not have it be animated just like the Flying Toasters from After Dark?' I originally planned on using the animation codes within the CSS which would loop for some time before doing it again, but while movement was smooth & the file size for the tile was tiny enough to not be demanding for the browser when it fills up the background with repeats, the animation loop itself was not. So I discarded that janky solution & tried making a loop by hand in the layers of the image editing program. Needless to say, that became too tedious & tiring to work on 100+ frames, so I got discouraged and put it on the backburner. Finally, I used Kdenlive & imported the tile to the editor, making use of the 'transform' effect & adding 4 layers of the same tile so that I can measure their X & Y placements & have the program move them to where I want to go. That is how I was able to achieve the looping effect. I went with APNG instead of GIF to save some space, it should work on most modern browsers. Admittedly, the animation could be redone to be more smoother so I'll leave it up to any anon who knows how to achieve that result by uploading the webm. Once extracted, it will have 150 frames. But that's not all!! As the teaser earlier showed, the oekaki button now has its own unique skeuomorphic color & animation when you click on it! I wanted to make it feel special to bring up the drawing program rather than looking like it got clipped on to the poor file drop zone. Having a pop of color to the side draws eyes to it better, in my opinion. So what are you waiting for? Get your hands on the new retooled purple vidya CSS theme now & have a blast to the past by grabbing the 4th attached file in this post!

Surely if they were that concerned about her showing skin beyond her arms, they would have covered up her chest completely with black fabric as well. But her front remains pretty much the same. Maybe they thought it would get too much negative attention if they went for that big of a change, so they settled with just covering up the tiny bit of skin on her back? Maybe some group internally didn't like the idea of her wearing a strapless outfit, so they added fabric to the back of it to make it 3% less revealing? Nobody "owns" the Fed, yet it's a private company with member shares. These shares are held by regional and national banks, of which JPM controls the largest (but not majority). Since the Fed cannot transact with individuals, I think JPM will absorb more regional banks to increase its ownership share while also positioning itself to run the backend. But infrastructure is slow to change, it'll still probably be at least 15-20 years before anything materializes. And besides that, they'll prop it up as something helpful before restricting it. Think of how many people consider cell phones essential, everyone has one on them at all times, now imagine if there were slowly implemented restrictions on their use, depending on whatever political gloss they want to use.

I follow picrel. According to it, the current market sentiment doesn't matter, 2023 is a good year to buy stocks in (we had like a 50% or more growth this year), so if you followed it on January 1st, you'd be up a lot of money. Now, it'd probably have been a good idea to take profit around September, because there could very well be a correction in the future. Plus you gotta remember that even though a President is selected, the people who make any informed choice in their tenure are completely different and sometimes even hidden to the public. So there was this video that came up in my youtube algoythm which I thought was interesting video considering that he offers a way to combat bad localizations other than voting with your wallet. He basically suggests that IF you buy a game like Refantazio or Yakuza then a good solution to help combat these bad actors is to play it a bunch and review bomb it due to the poor localization practices. Like If there is a game you want to support a game, then if enough people leave a negative reviews when something like Type A/B, bad localization, censorship, etc. come up. Then the company will see that and then ask internally "This is what the market is saying, and this is how we should change our apporoach." I trimmed the video where an ex-game dev basically goes over on the state of the industry and all that, but I really like how he offers solutions rather than just bitching about MUH TRANNIES like Kern usually does since he's only in it for the grift. He also mentions AI translations as a long term solution, however I think that AI probably won't get into that level for another couple of years. Ultimately I think that if you're gonna put a bunch of hours into something and leave a negative review, then I think that it goes a longer way then just saying "Oh, I won't buy this game". It's probably I'm gonna try with metaphor and it's something I'd recommend it's something Anons here do as well. Here's the full video if anyone is interested in it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4vSZY2lyW4
>>397453 >review bomb it due to the poor localization practices. Then the company will see that and then ask internally "This is what the market is saying, and this is how we should change our approach" Review bombs happen all the time. They get cleaned up by the likes of (((Steam))) since they're just as compromised.
(370.82 KB 1920x1080 card-ciel.jpg)

>>397453 Some JP devs, particularly the private ones, are also handling their own translations and I want to encourage the practice of comparing JP/EN versions of games and rewarding the ones that do a good job of actually translating the game to other languages. I can't fully vet Inti Creates' Card en Ciel, but so far I'm very impressed with the demo's translation actually matching up with the Japanese audio track from what I've played (something that's recurring a lot in bad translations is when the lolcowlizers fail to use the English terms the VAs are clearly speaking). If anything the ESG blitz has been a blessing to private devs as they reap the rewards of their public competitors killing themselves.
>>397453 >He basically suggests that IF you buy a game like Refantazio or Yakuza then a good solution to help combat these bad actors is to play it a bunch and review bomb it due to the poor localization practices. But they're still getting my money. >Like If there is a game you want to support a game, then if enough people leave a negative reviews when something like Type A/B, bad localization, censorship, etc. come up. Then the company will see that and then ask internally "This is what the market is saying, and this is how we should change our apporoach." We did that before! It happened to the PC release of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana that was being handled NISA back in 2017. It was a campaign that was almost single-handedly headed by the at-the-time Gilda poster that we had. And the guy's process was simple. We sent a well worded email to Falcom HQ, in correct Japanese, explaining all the problems with NISA and why we do not want them handling any future releases of Falcom video games. And guess what, IT WORKED. Within a month, it got Falcom and NISA to delay the release to "fix" the translation: https://archive.ph/Nkl1z Only problem was they didn't fix the translation. They spent the extra months bug fixing the game into a state where nothing was changed compared to the original release that was still at the time playable on every other console. And the game launched to overwhelming negative reviews: https://archive.ph/f2t9f Even from the fucking Japanese: https://archive.ph/iKQFw So, no, don't tell me that these companies are going to listen "this time". There is only ONE thing that they understand and that's money. And they're not getting any from me.

I've been thinking, since Operation: Download & Conquer has been posted in the threads and is in the OP, could any anon tell me of some games that had developer interviews or extras ala Soul Reaver 2: Legacy of Kain? It would be wise to preserve them since it's unlikely they'll ever make a reappearance in the remasterings of old games & it would be a crime for them to be memory-holed. Doubly so for Japanese-made games as they might've done more behind-the-scenes content in their language only & have never bothered to receive translations.
>>397488 J. Paul Getty seemed to turn out alright. >>397489 >and a broke hobo is not a Franciscan Monk who took a vow of poverty But Franciscan Monk who took a vow of poverty is a broke-ass hobo. One doesn't become a full-time beggar are out circumstance, it's a choice.

>>397485 1. Disliking Chloe is inevitable since she was nothing more than a walking plot device to keep the story moving writing-wise, and character-wise a stereotypical rebel punk strong woman. Plus a manic-pixie-dream-girl who brings our hero out of his shell but for lesbians. I have no qualms if the writer who hated her had these reasons. HOWEVER would be really strange if the writer had a political stance behind it too, though unlikely. 2. Not playing the build while working on it is a huge retarded flag, the writer should've been smacked and sacked on spot. That's modern game writers for you folks, they wanted to write for movies but due to lack of talent they're stuck at videogames and news media. That's why they both suck. 3. I'm starting to think about "always online" games in a different perspective. Not in a different light, since it's still shit and retarded, but it's in other places, too. Did you guys know that most testing, even big tests for kids like SATs and ACTs are taken not on paper but online, and must have a consistent, uninterrupted internet connection for the students to take the tests? I found out the other day when working on some networking stuff for a school. If a school loses internet connectivity for even a minute, almost everything stops immediately. All learning, all testing, etc. Get ready to see this shit elsewhere, and it won't be much longer that there are paper 'backups' for other businesses. I could foresee in maybe 30 years there being no more offices that have paper documents to switch to just incase the internet goes down. Those fuckers will be dead in the water if the internet ever goes out.

>>397553 I've been thinking a lot about how bad it is at schools. The quality of the education is way less than 20 years ago, somehow. Everyone in my nephew's school has a Chromebook so in addition to the normal amounts of papers and books they carry (unchanged from our times, somehow, even with all this tech he still carries around huge textbooks) he has to carry 5+ pounds of laptop with him, and they do fucking everything on it, and there's been many days where they just didn't do anything because the teachers had IT issues they couldn't fix. Some days the teacher doesn't even come to school and is on a video call over the projector. It's fucked. I hope one day we just kind of realize doing so much shit on chromebooks fucking sucks and they focus on curriculums that don't require electronics (outside of computer lab stuff) but that's just wishful thinking. >>397565 So what's going to happen to all the Chromebooks no longer supported then? Because as far as I know, none of them use traditional HDDs or SATA SSDs nor can you upgrade their RAM. The stuff about them makes it seem like they were never designed to be reused or easy to work with. You can kind of get a lightweight Linux distro to work on them like Xubuntu or XFCE distros, but then you'll be uncomfortably tight with free space. By the time I installed one of those distros, it went from the 32GB It shipped with down to halving 16GB, god forbid you install updates that'll take even more space. Some Chromebooks have SD Card slots that I guess one could use as their disk source but then there's other models that don't have them, which leaves occupying 1 USB slot to plug the Linux USB stick to.
>Arguing with the disingenuous pedonigger Never change, retards.
>>397570 Same thing that happens to all of the other electronics that end up in schools/corpo offices. I used to work at an electronics recycling company and it was soul-destroying. Schools dumping pallets of 3-year old tablets in perfect condition, masses of very nice, barely used and relatively new laptops all thrown into a massive bin to get wrecked, excellent PVMs and other CRTs discarded en masse with no care. In the short time I worked there, I did what I could to save a couple pieces, but nowhere near enough.

If I had to draw a line in the sand, it would be based on certain developments of the human brain. As we don't know enough about the human brain, and a few of those parts develop very early, I think it's the most moral choice to ban it entirely just to be on the safe side until science has a better understanding of the development of the mind. But that's unfortunately impractical. >Most “pro-life” people make concession for circumstances where the mother would not likely survive. I know it'll be a long time until our (relatively speaking) generation dies out like the boomers are right now, but if always-online services don't end as a trend in the next decade, it'll be commonplace for many more generations to come, and they won't even know there was ever an alternative. Some sci-fi games (like the last game Ross reviewed, funnily enough) bring up the idea that writing on traditional paper is super outdated and not followed anymore. It'll be interesting and worrisome if that ever comes to pass in my lifetime, where kids not knowing how to read or write cursive is the least of my problems, when some kids don't know how to read or write period. >>397565 >The quality of the education is way less than 20 years ago Free redpill for you, anon. Even if it's just watching a real person in front of you explaining a concept, no matter what type of learner you are, it's a better way to remember information. Less of a hassle too, like you said. The fact that electronics are still being pushed so much in schools currently, despite studies and experience proving their negative effects, shows there is more to it all. Could just be laziness or something like corruption in education.

I've heard it's suppose to display your ability to get a partner if you're a man but I've been also told it's just glorified masturbation if someone knows what they're doing at best and you're better of saving that for a significant other anyways and casual sex is overrated.
>>397628 From what I heard from women it doesn't display much, being divorced is better because someone else already vetted you enough to say you're alright.

>>397635 Psychology is psychosomatic. Anybody can convince themselves of anything, and even the worst situation can seem like a paradise as long as you stockholm yourself into it, and a fine or even excellent situation can seem intolerable if you think you can do better or deserve more. For years, centuries even, men had wives as servant and fucksluts, and if they wanted actual companionship and fulfillment, they'd go out drinking with the lads. You have been brainwashed into an ideal that is untested by time, pushed by feminist cunts who speak for themselves, expect all other women to follow suit, and then are still unsatisfied because women never know what they really want. If you get a girl you like, good for you, but it's not necessary, especially in the wake of the carnal urge to fuck. Hang with the boys, jerk off like a machine, then fall asleep hugging a pillow; that's all the emotional fulfillment you need, especially if you don't have the nerve to treat women like objects to begin with, as nature intended.
>>397628 Usually sex with strangers is worse than masturbation unless you're really bad at pleasing yourself and/or flings are your fetish. Now, one big caveat to this (and why I put "usually" up there) is compatibility, some cunts just feel better to some dicks and vice versa. Thing is, you're very unlikely to find your perfect pussy on the first screw so you kind of have to shop around. Of course, this is completely unrelated to whether the broad attached to the hole is a keeper. The real question is "What are you looking for?"...do you just want to increase your pleasure, do you want to find a long-term partner, do you want to improve your self-esteem by losing your virginity? Figuring that out will determine whether you'll be satisfied with the results of your efforts. Also, all of this only apples if you're male. Females pursue sex for completely different reasons.

>>397491 I remembered a interesting interview that could be weaponized. John Romero was interviewed briefly, along with other developers, in one of those documentaries about nerd "culture" for cable tv many years ago. Things like interviews with Stan Lee and such, all mixed in with game devs and others. The bit that I always remember is the one where Romero says that "if a game developer wants to make a game about rape, he should be allowed to". Said so in regards to censorship. If anyone could take this bit and spread it to normalfag circles, it would be a good weapon against the hypocrites on the left, as they are all butthurt about rape and female exploitation. Let everyone see one of their own, on video, saying that "games about rape are ok". >>397511 In a certain way, the writer is being realistic. Alright faggots, have a lot of accumulated research. Saudi Arabia has run a terrorist recruiting program at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service since 1993. This is where State and CIA are trained. The problem began before most of you were born. They call it the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding and they run a program called Loonwatch which spies on everyone who opposes terrorists and calls them crazy. It is funded by Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal whose father Talal bin Abdulaziz was known as The Red Prince because he leaned toward the Communists during the Cold War. The admin cabal on Wikipedia takes orders from Loonwatch and bans anyone who questions them. The Daily Kos also takes orders from Loonwatch and bans anyone who questions them. This is where most Democrat activists organized before they got Obama elected and entered the government. The (((international finance group))) behind Anti-Gamergate calls themselves Bridgespan. They are not hiding what they are doing. It is in the name. They are sponsoring the Saudi Islamist spy ring that has been embedded in the CIA for 30 years. They have assets everywhere by now, human assets embedded inside every company who have been told that they are working in national security for Uncle Sam. How are they sponsoring them? Not with their own money. They are using Russian and Chinese money. So we have seen a ton of "communists" spring up everywhere shouting old Russian slogans from the Cold War. They are actually ISIS on the Russian state payroll, and later the Chinese state payroll. ISIS has its own agenda. They have been sponsoring the Russian spy rings because the Russians made up the Palestinians to justify the global Muslim jihad against the Jews, as part of their strategy to ally with the Arabs against the West. North Korea ran its propaganda operations in the United States through the little known Workers World Party of New York which has been around since the 1960s. Al-Qaeda penetrated and took over the party. When 9/11 happened they started running protests demanding that the US not fight back against al-Qaeda under the name Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER). By 2011 they were leading the campaign to denounce the Peter King hearings on al-Shabaab recruiting in Minneapolis. At the time they were sponsored by the Open Society Institute of George Soros. Soros is the business partner of Lord Mark Malloch Brown of England. He is "intelligence". NOT OURS. He picked up this North Korean spy ring that is partnered with Al-Qaeda, and he used them as assets. Soros is also the partner of Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov, Russian Alfa Group billionaire Leonard Blavatnik, and two leaders of the African National Congress party that is Russia's front in South Africa. This is where ANSWER and Al-Qaeda, which rebranded as Antifa, were getting their money and instructions. Then Soros connected them to Chinese money and had them run Chinese operations. At some point Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi went to the British royal family and told them that they wanted more of those people that protest a lot since they are guaranteed Democratic votes. The British said "we own it and can do what we want" so they ordered the Rothschilds to support ANSWER/Antifa, which is al-Qaeda, and they used all intelligence resources they had to identify anyone who opposes them and ban them from the Internet. This was called the Aspen Commission on Information Disorder and overseen by Prince Harry. The work was outsourced to the Qatar Computing Research Institute which simply searched for anyone using #gamergate/#notyourshield on Twitter. The Jews responsible are: * The Rothschilds, obviously * The Anti-Defamation League, obviously * Russia's Alfa Group, the funding source for Russian operations such as "The Palestinians" and "White Privilege" * Maurice Levy, CEO of Publicis Groupe * Sir Ronald Cohen * The Pritzker family of Chicago * Michael and Meryl Chertoff, Israeli intelligence, ran the Inclusive America program to ban all political opposition to al-Qaeda. * Orit Gadiesh and Fay Twersky, Israeli intelligence, ran the money laundry from Russia to Hamas * The Maxwell-Epstein ring, Israeli intelligence, has run the Internet since the early 1990s * The World Jewish Congress. The entire organization was working for Russia. * The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations which sponsors the Iranians as Interfaith Youth Core * Omri Preiss, Israeli representative to the EU, has run operations to sabotage Brexit and every pro-Israel political movement in Europe

You can just picture it - 2 guys running off down the road with a goat in a shopping cart chased by some angry Mexicans. Fortunately, they made their escape after about a mile - turns out the Mexican heavies were just that - heavy - fat and out of shape - so couldn't run very far. Mike and Juan, and the goat, got a lift in a pick-up off a farmer who was doing some early morning delivery, and got dropped off in the next town 10 miles away.

It's kind of a blur and I don't feel motivated to do anything. But I don't think it's depression either. This is a late reply, but I wanted to reply because I've noticed this too. At least online people seem much less energetic and more cynical than they used to be. In addition to the zombie economy as the other anon mentioned, the concept of civics was quickly torn to shreds and forgotten during the lockdowns. Even if people forget the particulars, they haven't automatically re-gained the sense of civics, and the security and stability of society that civics is supposed to provide. There's also less optimism about the potential for a better technological future due to false hopes, broken promises and technological misuse. Without a sense of security and without a sense of the future, many people have fallen into straightforward despair. In the worst cases, they come to a despicable mindset: "if everything's screwed anyways, why bother at all?" Even when people do promote optimism, their words often reek of desperation. In the worst cases I see an almost psychotic gloating, as if simply declaring your victory were enough to make it occur. It is a human thing to evaluate the future based on immediate concerns, and the ordinary person is typically only able to see in terms of what is normal for the day, so even when a better future exists beyond the breakdown of present issues, they frustratingly will not be able to perceive it. Most are typically resigned to letting fate carry them without seeing their own role in making it. Even after their errors are pointed out they will often fail to correct their path. "If it were truly hopeless, the demoralization would be unnecessary." I think it's worth talking to others about their plans and ideas and looking out for opportunities. If it's worth anything, I'm fairly optimistic about software. >>397696 Thank you anon. Do you have any more archives? Now seems as good a time as any to post them. Also, as a longer-term issue, is there anything that would make digging easier for you?
>>397738 Yeah, software is the primary disruptor in the american economy. Unfortunately it being the investor darling means more money and attention goes to it than other industries, assuming innovation can keep raising productivity anyway. In recent years farmland has been a big buy among investment firms since they can just hodl and rent it to a management company under one property umbrella rather than multiple individual aquisitions, or worse in terms of profit per acre, small family operations. Even as tech stalls, investors look to find ways to maintain that kind of profit.

>>397739 >assuming innovation can keep raising productivity anyway Of a personal opinion, I've think we've reached the point in time were innovation is nigh impossible. Not saying that things CANNOT be improved, but that things realistically won't and for a long time. The past 300 years has been nothing but constant "innovation", and I don't think people realize just how much we learned in such a short amount of time. We have gone from the most advanced steam engine in 1724 being used for plumbing (The first steam engine used for transport wasn't until 1788) to now firing off rocket ships every other week just for shits and giggles. A more recent example is how I have a collection of the entire National Geographic back catalog saved to a hard drive when computers didn't even exist when the magazine started in 1888 (You know what I mean, shut up). However with all the advanced innovation, it isn't until recently (Primarily the past couple decades) that people realized that all the "improvements" we're seeing with advanced tech and sciences hasn't actually solved as many problems as people say they have (In some instances, actually making issues worse). Best example is how we've transitioned towards food and supplements that are entirely produced inside of a lab and lacking all the benefits of making them traditionally. This isn't saying ALL innovation is bad (I am not giving up my car), but it's gotten to the point that innovation only exists for innovation's sake. As a result, all progress is starting to coming to a screeching halt and people finally have the time to look back and see all the benefits and destruction we've caused along the way on our path towards "innovation". And with that looking back, people are also coming across a lot of discarded or forgotten ideas that could have made things much better had we remembered them. >Even as tech stalls, investors look to find ways to maintain that kind of profit. I hear even that's biting them in the ass as no one can realistically afford real estate in this market. Except for the Chinese because of the CCP printing money like there's no tomorrow. So the tracts of vast undeveloped open land are only being passed around like a game of hot potato, with the price increasing but the value remaining the same since no one is actually doing anything to it. It all has to come crashing down at some point. And when it does, THAT'S the moment that money and profits will actually start seeing a turn for the better.
>>397740 I disagree, we can always make something better. I recall articles years ago about how the internet will slow down because we have no better way to transfer data quicker but we keep moving more and more, but nobody seems to be worried about that now like they were the global food shortage in the 1970's that'd happen due to the world population reaching a sustainability ceiling, which also, in hindsight, was a bit foolish. There's always a way to change, even if you personally can't see it.
>>397667 Doesn't CDPR coast on government funding as "the face of Poland's vidya industry" similar to Ubisoft in Canada? I don't think they'll be allowed to die as it'd be a national embarrassment.

>>397740 >>397741 I think it's somewhere in the middle, for the past 20-30 years we've mostly been putting the same things together in different iterations, no new processes have been found except to make previous ones more efficient, like batteries, solar panels, ssds, fiber, and oled displays. This might sound GCfag-tier but you could have built the same stuff today 20 years ago, just at 10000x higher cost. It isn't innovation as much as iteration, on a macro level, and only thanks to a global society putting resources into innovation. There isn't a da'vinci driving any industry forward except mediocre ones gluing things together in the software industry, and yet because of that every other industry continues to iterate. Nuclear fusion would probably be the next thing you truly see invented, assuming ecoterrorism doesn't prevent its use. Also yes, in some cities leasing a small syorefront costs $30k-60k a month, it's why you see do many vacancies that could serve a community as a restaurant or small store if not for operating costs and the nigger tax (larceny).
>>397746 >I think it's somewhere in the middle, for the past 20-30 years we've mostly been putting the same things together in different iterations, no new processes have been found except to make previous ones more efficient, like batteries, solar panels, ssds, fiber, and oled displays. That's debateable. For example, lighting has been dominated by LED lights which only have ONE benefit (Uses less electricity to run) but it is more costly to make, uses less recyclable resources, burns out quicker, and causes nausea due to "microflickering". Another example is the fucking dishwasher, where newer models are "energy" and "water" efficient but take over two hours to go through a single rinse cycle compared to older models taking around half an hour.
>>397747 The diodes don't burn out quicker besides poor quality control, it's often the cheaply produced power supplies get hot and burn out. Microflickering is reduced to nothing on a few lightbulbs I own because the phosphor material that turns the blue diode light into white light acts as a capacitor, and this one used a gooder phosphor, cleaner internal power supply, and not running at a billion lumens. If you turn off an LED bulb and still see a faint glow, that's what happens, the phosphor is deenergized. The dishwasher example is just corporate compliance to what consumers and the government prioritize, like some dishwashers don't even do a rinse cycle any more to make more efficient use of the soap's emulsification, they'll just reuse that water and have the pods most people use be more concentrated so the water is less acidic than your tomato-based dinner and still have a hope of scrubbing power from the jets instead of shooting oil-water at it. You can buy a commercial dishwasher that cleans in under 5 minutes with boiling hot water as long as you use a sprayer in a sink to get the food gunk off yourself. Both of them are an incentive to be shit to sell you more things, and then the ones that actually work better and cost 0-5% more get sold as premium products that cost 5x more as punishment for being able to notice what most people don't.
>>397748 >The dishwasher example is just corporate compliance to what consumers and the government prioritize Fixed that for you
>>397749 Consumers are cattle regardless, the government won't stop good dishwashers being sold like they did with CRTs and freon, it just won't get all the 🍃 and ⚡ stickers that drive decisions for home improvement stores to stock them amd people to buy them, instead of practical test review videos and an understanding of the machines.

>>397760 >Trudeau can still hoodwink people into thinking they're a cornerstone of Leaf industry They're the "cornerstone" to every industry now since even government contracts are programmed using Unreal (And no, people don't see a problem with this despite the Tencent ownership). Yet these people don't realize that, if the industry was really as stable and profitable as people made it out to be, then there wouldn't be any need to subsidize it in the first place as it could make money all by itself.
